On the night the game update was released, I received two puzzle pieces from four boats. Since then, I have completed 21 boats and none have given puzzle pieces. The next boat has no puzzle piece as a reward either.
Are others still receiving puzzle pieces from boats?
I haven't kept track of how many boats I've done, but I had two puzzle pieces from boats soon after the update, but none since.
Same, but I haven't done many boats. (I don't speed them up)
Now up to 25 boats with no puzzle pieces. From others in my neighbourhood....it seems the puzzle pieces seem to stop after you receive two. Disappointing. I sent a message to support. Hopefully it gets fixed.
I've only gotten one puzzle piece boat since the update. And I had a booster yesterday, so they were coming faster.
I just received a response form hay day that said this is working as it should be....
So it seems not getting puzzle pieces form 25+ boats is a normal game mechanic and not a bug.
edit: I followed up with them and noted that many on these threads were experiencing the same issue. They said they would escalate it. fingers crossed!
I can understand that half the boats shouldn't have puzzle pieces. It *did* say 'occasionally'... But yea, 1 in 25+ is quite rare.Quote:

2 puzzle pieces from boats right away after update here also but only one from a red box since then. Not another boats one yet. I only tapped on that red box by mistake. After looking for permits I can't stand to go near them.

2 days have gone by since update. 2 boats with puzzle pieces on first day. 50 boats later no puzzle pieces. Apparently this is normal?
I have the same issue. 2 boats with puzzle pieces on the first day and nothing ever since (over 15 boats later). This is not normal. They did something server side to lower the chance of us getting boats with puzzle pieces or perhaps it's a bug.
On a side note I was getting 2 town visitors with a paw out of a 14 visitors train. This morning it's 0 out of 14. So I guess things changed there too.
The biggest problem is not getting puzzle boats. This is not normal

3x 320 boat tasks and multiple 'non derby' boats on a speed booster = only 2 pieces on the 1st and 3rd boat.

It will be the Birthday Party next Derby. Other than some 400pt tasks, I'm not sure what that will involve, but hopefully some event based tasks such as two of each cake or something.Quote:

That cannot be right.
This will especially infuriate the big boaters calling them in with Diamonds to get no reward. Last thing you want to do SuperCell is anger your big paying customers.

I have done about 65 boats and still have just the two pieces from 1st and 3rd boats. It would be nice to have a response on this, but I'm not holding my breath. This is the weakest update since I've been playing.

and I was so happy at the beginning, when there were still puzzle boats. Those puzzles added a considerable new interest to boating :(
Just wondering if everyone is contacting customer support to report this? I did, but although I directed them to this thread and the other one on the general tab, I got the impression they thought I was exaggerating when I said everyone had the same issue. I was advised it was working as intended although "due to my dedication " they would escalate.
I assumed super cell might look at this thread and provide an update. Since that does not appear to be the case, I think the only way to get this looked at and actioned is to contact customer service.
I'm just jealous of all of you that got a second puzzle boat! I've only had one since the update (I even had a faster boat booster going).
I'm not getting any puzzle pieces. Typical. Get us all excited over a new update, and then......nothing . . .
PLEASE, DO TELL HOW TO GET PUZZLE PIECES AND LAND UPGRADES! This game is getting so frustrating I'm just going to have to quit playing!
Sent a load of boats, filled and unfilled, over the last few days. Puzzle pieces in boats 1 and 3 and none since. This looks very much like a bug to me.
Suggest everyone uses the 'contact' facility in the game.

I also got 2 puzzle pieces on boats 1 & 3, then nothing since. The townies have not left any puzzle pieces. I have noticed that the chest in the water has quit appearing since the update. I have seen no red boxes that give any puzzle pieces either. I'm level 99.
I only got 1 from the first boat when update was downloaded, which everyone got. I still haven't gotten even a hint of a second. :(

I've got 2 in the horseshoes. That makes 2 per week. I don't count mystery chests because those give a puzzle piece once in a lifetime. So for an animal you need 36 pieces you'll need about 4 months. For all 5 nearly 2 years. This doesn't sound right
And don't get me started with horseshoes and scrolls being replaced with puzzle pieces. How on earth will I get enough scrolls in a reasonable amount of time? I've gotten scrolls from mystery chests twice so far.
All of this makes for a very disappointing recent changes to the game, at least for me. And don't take this ad complaining. I'm just stating that facts.

There are apparently at least a few people getting regular puzzle boats. One of my in game friends has had 4 or 5 the last few days. Every other boat I help her with yesterday and today is a puzzle boat. However, when I go to her town, her puzzle book shows no pieces, not even for the free animal, but she is finishing the boats. All animals show 0 of 36 pieces needed. Some farms I can see which pieces people have received and others show nothing.
Edited to say that if you see a puzzle book in someone's town with nothing in it, use the handcar to exit to the farm and then go back to the town. The pieces should then show
I just helped another puzzle boat from DD and could not see any pieces in their book, including the free animal. The people whose books show the free animal and the 2 or 3 pieces received are apparently those that are no longer receiving pieces, and those whose books show no pieces and no full puzzle for the free animal (at least when I view the book) are still receiving pieces? Maybe nothing, or could help figure out the bug, if anyone from SC is even looking for one. I'm on an android device.

This kind of thing drives me NUTS. Glitches are inevitable, it's the total lack of communication that makes me feel like throwing the towel in. Every damn update this happens. Why can't a multi million dollar company employ people who actually deal with the Bugs?

Not to sound like a broken record, and I agree that it is frustrating the Supercell are not responding here, but are people reporting the issue through the game to Customer Support? I think at this stage that is the only way they will see it is a major issue and not just a problem with the few players who have reported it.

Reporting it in game is a colossal waste of time. The staff there wouldn't know if they were on fire.
SC is a multi million dollar company, they need to employ someone INTERESTED & COMPETENT at problem solving & let all the arty guys get on with that side of things.
Mind you, I'm disappointed with that side of things too. The Elephants look like they're ice skating and the Sanctuary animals ALL look sad and or grumpy. Why?!

I do keep finding people in the DD asking help with boats that contain puzzle pieces. So that's odd.
Ditto on the puzzle piece drop rate. With 180 pieces, we need to be receiving a minimum of 2 a day to keep the sanctuary goal interesting. At that rate it would take 3 months to complete all puzzles. At the current drop rate it would easily take 6+mos waaaaaay too long - especially since the pieces are random and we will likely complete all of them about the same time. Well, if ever, at this rate.
Looks like this issue has been fixed. I have done 8 boats since derby started and received 2 puzzle pieces so far.
People have reported the same pattern as last week - 1st and 3rd boats of the day, then nothing after that. So maybe it's not a glitch, but a pattern.Quote:

Same here, I had two pretty quickly, but the third didn't come for quite a bit later. The third puzzle piece I got was actually from derby. Boat, boat, derby, boat.
