Rushing to TH9

Since I started playing clash of clans last year, I've been subjected to resounding warnings by clan mates (and forum talk) never to rush, they go on and on about upgrading absolutely all buildings... I'm a mid th8 at this point and I'm literally just itching to get the archer queen... was gonna stick with the cliché until I discovered that the aq has 30 levels of upgrades, 30! Which if done back to back to back takes a whooping 157.5 days to complete. Not to even mention the king.
In view of this, and the fact that with my th8 offense (level 1 valks & golems and level 2 pekka) I can power through even max th8, I have decided to move on to th9 to get a headstart on aq as well as more pounding power for those cheesy max th8 bases... I'm upgrading in 2 days so I'd like to see your opinion of my analysis preferably before I start the upgrade

Also, I know about the loot penalty and I don't think that can slow me down as I'm an ultra fast farmer... will also continue upgrading th8 defenses after maxing out Barracks, dark Barracks sf and dark sf in order not to escalate war weight

Rushing is never bad as long as you have good offense.

I would stick with the view of your clan mates.
It's always better to max everything before upgrading TH. :thumbsup:

I rushed a bit from 8 to 9. I had my barb king maxed as well as my farming troops. It was one of the best things I have ever done!

I went th9 on the same day the builder base was released. I now have 10/10 heroes and all troops and spells unlocked. I bought the th9 value pack and bought the other xbow right away. With a good de protection base I was shocked at how few times people tried to raid me.

Ok, thanks... I see a lot of maxers stuck with low level heroes and I want at least level 25 before leaving th9... doing the upgrade, thanks guys. I also acknowledge roshanDash's opinion and will post here about how it goes😊

Rushing has definitely worked for me, my walls are almost all lava (only 18 legos), heroes are 15/16, and ive got max th8 defence still... in such short time too.

I have a maxed th8 acc and really like it. I don't care about progressing with the village.

Staying at th8 is alright, but you've got multiple accounts right? And I bet one of them is th9 or higher😉

One almost maxed th9 and one mid th10.
But atm I like th8 the most :-)

Update: i now have max walls, max th9 war troops except witch, 18/23 heroes and max teslas,ads,xbows, at,cannon and wiz towers... If you wonder why i necroed this thread... it's just to counter those who are discouraged from strategic rushing because other speak against it with a bit more force than necessary

Nice progress OP, especially on the royals. Look forward to the next ability levels on those, when they really start to turn into beasts! To me strategic rushing is eminently sensible especially for something like getting a head start on growing the queen - the problem people hit (and what others are generally trying to save them from in urging caution) is that rushing without a clear idea of what you are doing (ie. unstrategic rushing) generally ends badly.
