I am within 5 hours of getting my second star toward my mastery on the candy machine. But it's been stuck on 283/288 for two days now! I have the que full of 19 hr chocolate bars so that it runs 24/7 without ever stopping. What's going on?!? Why are my hours not counting?
As far as i have observed the time is only added at the end of production so if you have 19h chocolate bars only after finishing each you will get the add 19h.
So when you finish next chocolate bars you will get the Mastery for that machine until then nothing counts :)
Ahhhhh, that must be it. I had not observed this. Thanks for that info. Makes sense now. So about the smelters and feed mills, any idea how they add up and when hours are credited. I have three smelters. When all three are going for an hour does that count as three hours? And if one has platinum, one has gold and one has silver, all different production times, when are the hours credited? The questions just keep getting harder. LoL.

You will get credit for hours on all machines once they have completed, and yes the hours are combined, you will get credit for all hours...does that make sense?
I noticed a problem with my candy machine as well. I was one hr away from getting the first star (71/72), so I produced a toffee last night and it is still at 71.
Edit: tried it again and it worked. Maybe I was daydreaming, who knows.:/
