A dumb question

Ok this is not a big problem by any means but I have an irritation and I know there is a solution. Please advise. When I look at my roadside shop or anyone else's roadside shop, you know the two little avatars up in the top right and left corners, the ones that allow you to scroll left and right through your friends shops....well the one that shows to the right is a friend that has a very, shall we say, horrifying photo for his avatar, like a bloody demon doll or something. Something that is very unpleasant to look at. It is always there! It's like it defaults to that spot. I have tried scrolling through a little further thinking that is just where I left off last. I thought maybe his is the last farm I visited or I was the last he visited. Nothing changes this. It always goes back to that spot. I hate looking at it all the time. Short of deleting him how do I change this so that his photo is not always there when I go to roadside shops. I hope I am making sense. What determines who's avatar appears there. Help. This is creeping me out!

From what I understand the ones that show on your RSS are the ones basically in the middle range of your friends' levels. I have a friend with a particularly creepy avatar also, but I am fortunate that his does not show in my shop. It is a bit creepy when he goes shopping in my stall and I see that picture times 20.

I always thought the friends either side of you, were the players with levels above and below you (if that makes sense)

I used to think that too until I got a lot more friends. I am level 66 now and the ones that show in my RSS are both level 48

I guess that excludes that idea :) not really sure how its worked out then.

I wonder if the two avatars on either side of our roadside stand are the median of our neighbours' levels. Try adding a couple of friends that are either both below or higher than your level. Perhaps that will change who you see. I do know how you feel about those creepy avatars, they don't seem quite right for Hay Day, do they? I love yours by the way, neighbour.

When you are at your roadside shop, you are right at the middle of your friend list (farm follow included) sorted by level.

For your problem, I suggest:
- change his "position" in your sorted friend list by either follow new farms, add new friends, remove friends, unfollow farms...
- whenever he moves up in the list at appears again, repeat the above step
- change your farm name to message asking him to change avatar (unlikely to success) and buy something at his shop

I suppose players levels and stuff change all the time, that's maybe why we sometimes we see different avatars either side of us

Their avatar always upset my younger daughter who plays with me. Our theory is that anyone can have pretty much any avatar they choose (within some boundaries as discussed on other threads), so to avoid the unpleasant feeling with my youngest seeing his avatar, I unfriended them in game center. Problem solved.

We never heard a word back, so don't know of they ever even knew . . . which is OK.

Please folks, remember that KIDS play this game. Ixnay on the creepy/scary/crude avatars, OK?
