Clan improvement ideas

I think the following ideas would help with clans and clan management coming from a clan leader:

1. Stop hoppers by having a timer before new members can donate/request/enter war. An 8 hour timer would reduce the number of hoppers a lot. It is terrible that a very high percentage of people that join my clan leave in a few minutes after either donating wrong troops to every request open, or as soon as their request is filled.

2. Add the ability to perm ban members by the clan leader. I have multiple members that keep rejoining and either cause drama or donate wrong troops and don't want them in the clan ever again.

3. Identifying the people that have misdonated can be hard. Implement either a request system like Clash Royale where you can ask for exactly what you want, or have a donation history to see who has donated what to you so if you were offline or raiding when the donation was filled you can see who did it.

4. People never want to donate to clan war cc since it doesn't give any donation status. SuperCell took it out(or never had it) to avoid people using it to get huge donation status through people removing their war CC troops again and again. To fix this issue, the server should save who donated the troops to the War CC and once the war actually starts, if that person is still in clan, they get the donations added to their count.

1. Hoppers are the clans problem. If you don't want someone to donate/request best warn them or kick them out. If you don't want them in war , tell the cos not to take them in war.
2. Kicked people can't join again for some time.
3. Yes this issue is a bit tedious to handle. You can track the person somewhat by seeing what level troops you got and who has that level troop.
4. Although donating in war CCs has no direct benefits , it is very important in order to win. Supercell should not force someone or reward someone for donating in war CC as it can cause some noobs to donate weak troops in the name of donation. Something else must be made.

Thanks for your response.
1. Everything listed here is the clans problem which doesn't mean that there could be changes to the game to help with it.. I can't kick them fast enough before they have already donated wrong troops to many people. Also I can't prevent them from leaving right after they get troops. You could have a rule of no requests for x hours or something after joining, but the enforcing of it 24/7 would be very difficult.
2. Only the leader kicks ban them from clan, and they can rejoin after 1 day. These people do just that rejoin in a day or 2 again and again.
3. Agreed, that is what we do, but we are a 50 member clan, so there are many people with the same troops levels that have donated. It can take a day or more to figure out who is giving wrong troops.
4. Yes, I didn't think of the noobs donating if there was a benefit. Have you heard of any other ideas for this issue?

Welcome to the forum.

1, 2 3 are easily remedied by setting the clan to Invite Only. Vet your members BEFORE they join. Greet them at entry and explain your rules. If you are kicking willy-nilly and still have 50, then you are just allowing riff-raff in and you have riff-raff causing issues.

2a Tracking pests is an issue for every clan and many suggestions have been made before, Right now, sometimes you need to let them join and advise you are reporting them if they persist. Be careful you don't give SC a reasons to ban YOU though.

4 SC has made a statement on this. It revolves around war donations being for the clan not the individual. If people won't contribute to war cc, consider whether they are worthy of your clan. I would kick if people ignored war cc instructions.

1. Is a bad idea, it would prevent people visiting clans to donate/receive troops, kill req'n'go clans, etc. Far better to implement clan rules and enforce them.

WRT to your post about donating hoppers that "have already donated wrong troops to many people" before you can kick them: if your clan were to fill those "many" open reqs as and when they are made then the hopper has nothing to fill.

2. In the absence of a blacklist, all leadership can do is keep a list of the player tags of unwelcome ex-members.

3. A donation log is ruled out and a defined donation system could be too restrictive in practice. Better to instill a clan culture of respecting requests.

4. If people are unwilling to contribute to the clan effort by donating to the war CCs then they don't get to war. Easy fix. Personally, I would (and have) boot someone on the spot for a refusal to donate.

Currently Clash of Clans has no real costs associated with clan hopping. There are other games which do and in those games you don't see the mass hopping issues. There are a lot less people joining with invites, and even a good number of them are hoppers looking for troops or donates. Vetting them through something like Clash of Stats is possible, but Clash of Stats isn't fully accurate and is a constant additional work for the leaders of the clan.

Clash Royale for example already does some of these things, and clan management is a breeze compared to Clash of Clans.

On 1, I think the number of clans that are request and go are likely very low, but also an additional enhancement could be a no hopper flag to the clan which would put these enforcement on your clan so hoppers would know not to join and if they do they will have to wait to gain any benefit from joining.

2. Yes, I keep a list, it would be easier if the Clash of Clans server kept the list and did it though. Again these changes are to make things easier for the leaders of a clan.

3. Supercell decided a log would be too much effort? Definited donation system works well for Clash Royale, but agreed it would be harder to implement in Clash of Clans.

4. Yes, I kick people that have been told to donate to war cc and fail to do so. I think it would be better if otherwise good members would have some encouragement to do it without constant pestering and kicking. A system that helps to encourage good behavior makes it more fun, and less like work for everyone.
