please give us a way to tell if someone is a hopper. i personally get sick and tired of adding members and putting them in war like they ask only to have them leave during prep day. we need a way to flag hoppers that we can see on their profile to prevent them from doing this
So if there's a clan member I have to kick because he's a moron, I can tag him as a hopper so no one will ever accept him to their clan again?
Check clashofstats.com. It shows the history of players and you can get an idea if they are hoppers or not.
You can check their clan history by going to clashofstats.com and putting in their player ID
You also don't have to put them in war right away.
Wait a week. Or even two.
If they leave because you're not putting them in war for 2 weeks... they weren't going to stick around anyway, and highly likely to leave mid-war. No loss for you, and they don't screw up your wars.

We just finished a war where a new member left after two attacks, he stayed in our clan an hour before I search war and left many hours before war ends. Another one, stayed just 2 wars, but they made their 2 attacks.

by them hopping or being marked, yes, it will stop them from being wanted in a clan but it doesnt mean they will never be accepted into a clan again. 2nd chances are always given. by the time i can get onto those sites to check the stats of someone, they easily can alrdy be part of another clan. it takes too long to do that when looking through global. by being able to just view their profile and see something or the number of clans theyve been in, its faster and allows you to make the decision on the spot. im thinking of something more like if they jump in and out of clans often enough, they get a 24 hr suspension from being able to join a clan. this time would increase for every 5 clans they hop. or something like this. or maybe something for those who leave during war... idk. its just one of those predicaments that all games like this have but itd be nice if supercell could make a way to alleviate this or reducthe ability for those to hop in and out

The alternative is you jump on global, post that you need 4 mates to go to war...and hit the search button the minute 4 strangers fill your clan.
There's two kinds of hoppers. The kind that are doing it because they are terrible people, they think its funny, whatever. It would be nice to tag them with the scarlet letter of hopper shame on them.
The other kind of hopper is looking for a clan they want to stay in so they can stop being a hopper.
It would be a shame if the 2nd type got tagged as the first type because the clans they keep finding themselves in are terrible and they want to leave. Especially since clans can avoid the negative effects of the first type simply by not putting people in war right away.

I agree completely. Clan management is on the leaders not on supercell, by having a few simple rules in place you can avoid the hopper disaster pretty easily. In the clans I've been in where I've been in a leadership position, we have had maybe two or three times ever where we have had hoppers disappear mid war, and never anyone in a position significant enough that we couldn't cover for it.Quote:

4) Even if theorically this information becomes available, it means i have to leave the clash of clans app and go to it. Then come back before the app resets and i lose global. This workflow is not user friendly. This info should be available on the profile of every requester to join the clan without having to leave the app.
in my book, this is the feature that needs to be done BEFORE any new BH level, before any new mode, before any adjustment to anything in TH. Of course, many will disagree me with me. But to me, this will increase the quality of life, the recruiting of quality people exponentially. Imagine a player is exposed if he lies about his country of origin, or his war participation, or his ratio of donation, or his hopping... it will foster a sense of accountability.
having a reason is fine or saying, "sry, this clan just isnt for me," is one thing. when ppl join, ask for troops and then leave or ask to ve in war and leave without any explanation is my definition of a hopper. those who straight say, you war log isnt as good as id like or i want a more active clan or whatever is fine with me vut those who join, and then just leave afyer getting troops or after put in war when they asked to be in war is ♥♥. they can make it so only leader can mark someone or by doing the process i said above would prevent the 2 different types of hoppers from getting mixed as eaily
Any "mark" would be so open to abuse that it would be pointless and meaningless and restrictions on leaving/joining clans would penalise players unacceptably.Quote:

seriously, hoppers are a clan management issue. Here are the surefire steps toward not being bugged about hoppers...
1) Dont put anyone into war until they have sat out a couple and been active both donating and discusding the tactics in the war. This bith screens them and allows them to learn how your clan works together.
2) other than step 1 dont be bugged about them. So what if a guy pops in grabs a few things and leaves. Its not like its killing you.
