Child account
Hi.
Both my husband and son have Clash of Clans (different Game Centers). I think it would be a nice idea to have "children" accounts, that can be played only on "single player" mode. Meaning no attacks from other players. I do realise that this would now not be undoable (changing a child account into battle mode)
I tried buying shields for my son's account, but due to the cooldown period, his village is getting looted and distroyed all the time. I COULD help him build better defenses, but that is not the point. For some small children (6 years old) the main objetive is to build a nice village (and "Hay day" is too "peaceful" for them) and fight some orcs. Or maybe child shields should last longer, or their accounts have extra "protection" from older players, I dont know.
And before anyone is "kind" enough to explain to me that just building is not the game's aim, I get it. I am just asking.
I used to play a facebook app that allowed you to stay in "defensive mode" for ever if you so wished, but if you ever went into battle mode, you could not go back to defensive for a fixed amount of time (sort of like the shield cool down period)
As it is, I might have to stop the game all together, my son is getting anxious to be online all the time to prevent attacks. I want him to have this as a shared activity with his dad. (And I a big game fan myself... I totally SUPPORT their gaming!) but we need a bit of difference for the children that so choose. (I am aware some children thrieve on the battle mode as it is)
Also. Hooking him know, assures you a future client. (yeah, I know. But its true)
thanks!

I might be wrong but I think in the terms of service for Supercell it says something along the lines of in order to have access to an account you must be 13 or older. I remember reading something along those lines. Its been awhile since I read them so you may want to double check. If that's accurate I don't foresee them creating "child accounts."
And if I'm wrong about that. How would the child account work? Would a date of birth be requested when first starting the game? If it gets you extended shields or protection from older players like you mentioned, I could see a potential for abuse. Suddenly everyone would be a kid.
But I do think your idea about a child account with just single player mode isn't such a bad idea.

Does he get too upset when he gets attacked?
I cant remember myself in 6 years but i am pretty sure i played the games that you can loose and lost a lot. Nothing is wrong with that imo.
