Nicatron's mini DE guide

this guide is nothin special just some differnt views on how to DE farm. These 2 methords are used commonly through DE farming.

Methord 1. (my methord)
army: 80 archers, 24 goblins, 20 barbs, 12 giants, 8 wallies.
1500t-1700t
attack bases with exposed DE storages and Drills. aim for 450DE per raid, remember, do not use all ur troops or this methord is not very good. use 50-100 troop spaces. try and raid back to back as much as possible.

Methord 2. (Unity Sharps methord)
or unitys methord, u aim for 1k+ DE but train time is long.

Which Methord do u think is more prodective on DE gaining by DESP. Plz give ur answer and feedback.

Nicatron, I prefer Unitys methode, because it takes more skill and more importantly, it is less time consuming. Being online all the time and raiding is not ment for my work and life style. But an occasional big raid every hour suits more it more. But both are about equally effective I'd say. If you take DE per minute ingame spent, Unitys is much better.

I'm gonna be a pain, and say I prefer jumping in trophies, and gaining 1-4 k in the higher leagues, players just have an abundance of it up there ;)
Also no spell bombers!

fair enough. both methords work for differnt people, for those that cant stay online as long, unitys guide is better. but those who have long peroids of time online, i would recomend mine.

Sharp's is better. You get more DE bulk per raid and you have literally 10x more base choices. With your army, if you see a maxed out TH9 with 2k DE, you'll probably skip it anyway. lol

@blackdragon: Extremely pointless. If you wanna maintain cups, you have to win every raid and to win, you have to use your entire army and all spells/heroes. Wait time kinda negates your profit..... lol

Exactely! Thats absolutely true but I at the moment, after the push with forum elite, enjoying a superb DE-hunt on my way from masters to Gold 2. I use a cheap army (BAM) and get 2000k+ DE per raid. I drop fast in trophies BUT i made 10k DE in one hour so far :D. It's a pitty you need 1 week to get to masters 3 in the first place.

Use pure barbs and archers and (if needed) some lightning spells for mortars. Aim for the storages which are a bit more exposed and hold over 1K DE.:D

Well, at TH8 you dont go hardcore DE-Farming. I think the farming only starts when you hit TH9. TH10 is btw absolutely best to farm DE. You have one more drill and more troopspace and heavier farming troops. Most bases you attack for DE ar TH9 and 10 anyways.

I highly disagree. Being TH10 means you can now only get 1k DE max from TH8s and there are several TH8s out there with full DE storages coz they are saving for their AQ as they jump TH9.

Extra drill production is negligible unless it is boosted 24/7..... Army space doesn't help at all since the troops you use to DE farm are available at TH9 already anyway.

TH8 can still DE farm decently (I know because my TH8 buddies at Unity Elite can do it....) but they have to use Rage Spell every single time they see a well defended DE storage due to weaker troops. At TH9, you almost don't need to Rage every time.... only when the target has maxed out base.

I know I may get flamed for this, put imo Unity Sharps method takes less skill. That's why its the most hyped on the forums. It literally throws the kitchen sink at a base, you just drop mostly all your troops as fast as you can in the spot closest to the de. Dont get me wrong, its effective and great for people with jobs due to training time, but tier 1 troops train faster and have a higher skill cap.

I prioritize gold, so barch is what's best for me. I just dont see me staying in this game for 8 months to make it useful enough to lose my heroes for that long. At the end of the day i play this for fun, and using my heroes every now and then is fun for me. I have bad hero progression (lvl 10 king and lvl 5 queen) and I've been th9 for a month, so i upgrade my AQ when Im between defenses when i have excess de and short on gold. I don't go out searching for de, but it naturally accumulates from raiding collectors and my drills.

My point is unity has a great method, very effective and I've used it many times in th8 to much success. I just think normal farming troops have a higher skill cap, and at some point when de shifts to collector raiding, it will be the most efficient de raiding composition.

The peeps saying "raise your cups" are correct. You don't have to go to Masters, anything from 1900+ is good. And yo don't have to use a powerful army - that's purely optional.

I was DE farming in Crystal for the last two days (around 2200 cups), with my TH8, and my best night was last night - archers and 4-6 giants. Just look for bases where you can get at the DE easily enough - in the drills usually, which when left for some time can yeild raids in the thousands, for a very quick and cheap army. Yes, you'll drop a few cups, as you can't always get a 1-star win, but with practice on your skills you won't lose every fight and can easily maintain yourself around Crystal 2 over time. And yes, the loot bonus for TH8 vs TH10 makes big DE hauls quite easy to get - lots of dragons with some rage if you want the store and drills, or archers and a bit of meat shield if you just want the drills.

I appreciate some farmers are happy with raids that yeild a few hundred DE per raid, but for me, I see anyting less than about 1200 per raid as insignificant - a good DE raid for me is about 1800+, and if I'm not trying to up my trophies I'm using an army that trains in under 20 minutes (which means it doesn't matter if I search for 10+ minutes finding a good base).

edit: I've re-read gatsby's post, and I agree 100%, in fact for me DE collector raiding in Crystal is already the most efficient method I've found (dragons are more fun, but require less skill).

Your method ain't good. Very hard to get good DE. Higher up and at that trophy range people have centralized DE storages.

Finding it easy to farm DE as TH8 using either BAM or a giant, healer, clan castle wizard armies. I never thought about pushing higher to farm, but I'm doing just as well in the 1700s as ever, and I'll continue to push (I'm currently at my highest ever trophy count; a mere 1,732). Still BAMing my way up and getting good loot.

Nice info, a couple of questions on th8 farming in crystal - how bad are th9 attacks in this range? I sniped to 2k and had some unpleasant revenges for 3 weeks after, mostly 2 stars which included my DE-storage. Do i need to to wait till maxxed def first? And the second question - how is gold farming up there? Since i'm in the middle of th8, the gold is important too. P.S. Looked up your Heroic Heist - impressive :)

There is no more loot bonus for a th8 when attacking a th10, that was gone with the new loot system

I have yet to see a th8 with a full de storage in match making, sounds nice in theory but not many out there.
