IQ test to join the forums

This was purposed a while back by our good friend Djemerson13, otherwise known as Dan. It is something that I feel needs to be brought up once again. You may have been noticing threads appearing-odd ones. Maybe they offer cheap shoes, or free movies online. These aren't posted by real people, oh no. They are posted by spambots- computer programs that are designed to seek out peaceful forums such as ours and fill them with these types of posts.

Upon joining, you must enter a captcha-this, however, clearly does not work. As it is so widely used, bots can be programmed to get through them. I propose a new idea. A short IQ test must be taken (and a certain score achieved) in order to join. Why? This being a new and innovative idea, spambots will have no way around it, falling at the walls of our great and mighty forum.

Another reason. You know all those people posting useless threads, not reading stickies, posting in improper sub forums, all that good stuff? Those people probably aren't very intelligent, now are they? An IQ test will stop them in their tracks. No more threads asking for resource donation, no more TH7s complaining about loot, no more people complaining about farming being oh-so unfair. No spambots, no stupid people. Seems like the forums would be in great shape, no?

As for the score minimum? I'd say 105-110. Above average, but achievable.

IQ isn't affected by age, theorhetically it should stay relatively constant throughout life as long as there's no major brain damage or chemical interferences. For young people, typical IQ tests are things like matching puzzles or whatever. No knowledge required and google search couldn't help.

The best captcha ive seen is an image then a question about the image. Example would be a picture of a horse and a barn. The question would be something like to name what of the two is living.

This is discriminatory to people of lower IQ.

You are repeating history.

If we implement and IQ test, people wont be able to join the forums and that means the crowds are smaller.
And I'm sure you are trying to get rid of people like me.
Look, I have an IQ of 120 above and making an IQ tes is horrible, no matter whats the purpose of it except for bragging rights.

I very much disapprove of this plan. Very discriminatory and very motivated against new people who are posting bad ideas or ideas on the wrong sub forum.

Coc related questions. What would happen to inflation of loot if players where able to donate and receive loot from their clan members? And how would this affect the coc community.

All answers have to be reviewed, that will cut down the "givgold to da cln plez sups cel" threads.

Its not uncommon that a real person is helping bots register since some captchas are really hard even for a human so this issue isnt entirely solvable.

We don't need an IQ test to join the forums; bots would outsmart potential forumers who DON'T complain about elder-cooldown or TH 11. These are the community forums, not a resort for people with high IQ.

Sure, there are bots, but alternative solutions are better than asking people about physics.

Examples:
- Identifing 1-3 pictures of commonly used troops, such as archers or giants, common buildings, like TH, barracks, walls, etc. (typed response is best for outsmarting bots, but there could be a radio-button multiple choice test)
- Answering 1-3 simple questions about SC / COC / HD that are VARIABLE (not repeated or limited to a few)
- (Not sure if this is already implemented, so don't kill me if it is) Identifing words, like when creating a Google account / most other types of mail accounts or other accounts; those random letters / numbers that they give you, like AW2ke and you have to type it to confirm that you are not a bot (I'm not sure about how effective this is, but it probably does work to some extent or else Google wouldn't use it)
Leave the forums a happy place and let the moderators deal with complainers and spambots.

Try this on: IQ(intelligence quotient) is neither a quotient, nor a measure for intelligence. A computer supposedly can score a 150 on IQ tests, doesn't make it intelligent. The defined formula for IQ is (Mental Age/Calendar Age) x 100. That same computer program has no calendar age...therefor division by zero. Whoa.

Why you think it's lie? That is the main task of the IQ test developer - create smth that not depends of culture, circumstances an even age. So only one opportunity to improve your brain its train it. How you do it - it's your choice but it possible.
