awesome base Richard!!! this and ur loaded Die are proberly 2 of the best bases at TH9.
Nice job, and I agree 100% tessla are your best defense, so even if you are farming centralising is a good idea - tessla on the edge are wasted as they are really easy to target and take out with a few archers / minions.
For TH8, I've used centralised tessla for some time, in fact ever since TH7 I've had tessla as a core part of my defenses. I'm usually pushing high in the trophies, so packing as many of the biggest baddest tessla I can, into my most vital area, makes a huge difference, especially when most of your raiders have level 6 giants, etc - level 6 splash vs level 6 giants just doesn't cut it.
Just wanted to tell you that I appreciate your effort. I've been using your base for a month now, and changed my base to this one again.

oooohhh OMG, you make me confident I haven't made a wrong base. I hit TH9 2 weeks ago, here's my first attempt for a TH9 design.
I wasn't thinking about dps, I just thought, if he were here with farming troops, the wizard tower would be best at use to be able to hit stuff on the outer wall. And single target teslas can't help at all with mass gobs or mass BAM attacks.
If he came to destroy my base with heavy units, wizard towers won't be that important and the teslas would be the thing I want to protect.
So summarizing those two reasons, I see Wizard towers best fit in the middle ring and teslas best fit in the core.
P.S. (edit) My hidden worry about this theory is that there will be compartments where mortar and wizard towers are in together. Yeah mine has that too. I'm still ongoing brainstorming bases sometimes with pen paper, or on Excel secretly at work (giggle), or CoC builder when I'm at home sometimes to find that perfect base.
