Teslas Triumphant: A TH9 Design and Case by Richard

Here's my take on this base.

Reasoning: The majority of people will attack your TH side first, and this setup forces them to use the majority of their army to take it down. You still get a free shield as usual, but this stops the attacks where their army would normally destroy the TH and go for the rest of the base. Also notice how I only have 3 Teslas by the TH and one currently being worked on in the normal spot. This serves as the 'surprise' aspect of the teslas.


Normal setup: Teslas are in the normal areas. I still have a center mortar that can hit some troops who attack the TH, so it slows their army down some. I am currently playing with the Wiz towers on the outside instead of the archer towers as shown in the pics.

The only problems this design seems to have are mass hog attacks or well thought-out balloonian attacks. Here is a log while being 1900-2200 cups.

Lol you completely ruined the great funnelling design. It is now non-existent it appears in your design.

I prefer the original due to the funnelling design it incorporates. Swap the WT's with the cannon / AT, WT is too exposed and is a far stronger tool than the AT or cannon. Also, if you're planning on starting your skulls which it looks like you are, start them from the inner core and work your way out.

Reasoning: Wb's deal with outta walls 99.9% of the time, & as a result 500hp or even 1000hp isn't much for them & won't make a noticeable difference in terms of defence. Since WB's rarely reach the 1st / 2nd layer of a base - if ever - these walls are left to troops to break through. 500 extra hp is a lot of for regular troops however, and as a result your defence is far more effective since they will be spending much longer bashing away at the walls inside the base, compared to placing them on the outside.

Are xbows better pointed up or down in this base? While pointed up they still cover all the gold storages.

Epic Base! Will be doing some light to heavy modifications to make it fit my needs. I will post my end version when I max town hall 9.

I'll be waiting for this, the TH 8 base you made was amazing, and I still use it as of now. I'd love to see what changes you could make to make an awesome base even awesomer!

One idea, why not make the end of the funnels a little bit larger (near the Archer Tower) and put the large bombs in there?

I love this base, in 12 days I am going to be TH 9 and this is the design I've found that looks and feels the best, and incorporates all the best aspects of well thought out design.

I stumbled on this design just after reaching TH 8 and bookmarked it for when the time comes. :)

Im new to the forum... So maybe it's just me. But am I the only one who can't see a picture of this layout? It sounds amazing, and as someone currently upgrading to TH9 I'm very interested in gathering all the info I can from those that have been there for some time.

Is there something I'm missing? Thanks
