Woo hoo! Get ready to ship those townies around!
What are your hopes and goals for this event, and did you achieve them?
I want to level up in town (even though I am finished expanding the buildings) AND I want to level up on my farm.
I am about 2/3 of the way to Level 34 in town, and about 1/2 way to Level 127 on the farm :)
i had just leveled up in town and on the farm last night so i'll have a decent idea of how much i gain from this event (especially in town (18), given i will still get exp on farm (85) from other sources)...
i'd like to get a level on both, but specifically town. i'm actually serving the 2 stop visitors, which is a rarity in my town. that should allow me to finish the final capacity upgrade on the personal train.
when the town event is on, I serve EVERYBODY -- and I don't curate for building much. So right now I have 15 townies needing the B&B, and in a first for me -- used 12 diamonds to speed one set up, so they got sprung 90 minutes early.Quote:

I was so ready for this one! 42 single serve townies milling around waiting for it to start 😊 once they were done, I called the eggspress early and feed them all, normally I would kick those wanting 3 stops. Not many of my hoodies playing town at the moment 😢
I would like to level up in town to 33, but that's a long way off.... nearly lvl 109 in farm, so that will be nice

That seems like a good strategy -- make sure you keep an eye on how many visitors you can fit into your town and the timing of the eggspress train. I never want to get fewer than 14 on my big train, and so sometimes I have to get fewer townies from neighbors to keep the eggspress train full :) you can snarf up other 1-stoppers after the eggspress comes :)Quote:

I started at 38,673 RP is morning, and I'm at over 42,656 after 8 hours of working this event hard :) I Level up at 47,983 +1 hee hee
Should be able to reach town level 46 by the end of the event ☺

I'm really hoping to level my town to rep lvl 38. I'm just over 10K away. Will be a challenge but I'm herding them through. At 38 I believe I can max every building. Just need the tools to do it :) My highest shop is the BnB at 6/6 40% 60% 40% (lvl 34).
62,813 xp to reach level 46. Only jumps about 900 each level now

I only recently levelled up my town, but trying for another during this event and hopefully a good chunk into the next one as well.

Found a 3 hr Tom card during this, topped up on Rings and Blankets - will probably hire Tom again tomorrow to avoid stock outs.
I think I'm going to level up in town in 4 hours :) THEN the race will be on to make lots of progress to Lev 35 in town (prob will only get 1/3 of way there) and level up on the farm. Woo hoo!! ;)
Hi guys, am like 96k xp short of lvl 106 n those expensive 12 diamonds :) yeh am still approaching 106 after all these years of playing. In boom beach term, am a turtle lol

I have my town designed as a maze, so the released visitors always miss the train and have to wait 6 hours for the next one. That means my hoodies can pick them up.

The maze means that anyone released from a building has to make their way to the top of the screen, walk behind the buildings there, and past the town hall, towards the station. By the time they have done that, the eggspress has left. There is a similar maze on the beach.
Closing in on my first level up, sadly my personal train can only take 8 passengers so obviously my main goal is to level up to max it out!
I won't get 2 levels, but will get 1 and hopefully bite a good chunk of the next one. I look forward to a train that picks up 10 every 90 minutes.
I'm at the 1/2 mark for leveling up in town. I just upgraded 2 buildings so I'm hoping at the end of the event I'll have reached the next level! Right now my town is level 23 and my farm is level 83.
Last day dawns - I am at 20% of the way to next town level and only 110K xp from Lev 127 :)
Looks like I might come up a little short on my goal :(
I started the event about 15% through my way to town rep 22. I did hit town rep level 22 last night. So, I am hoping to get 50% to 23. I think it is doable. The great weather this weekend got in my way :cool:

that's kinda how trains work. think of the northeast corridor trains. they could very conceivably drop off 14 people at one stop (less than full transit travel, local to local - say hamilton to newark airport), and then take on 62 going to new york city.Quote:

I am about 1/3 of the way to Lev 35 in town, which exceeds my goal. I have dropped over 100 diamonds speeding up trains and B&B folks (which is new for me). I do wait until it costs 2 diamonds to speed up the B&B. :)

Oh, me too!! And I admit I was ho-hum about the town for YEARS, until I saw that thread with analysis that proved how the town is the best source of XP for the products required. I always thought trucks were best (even after they were SIGNIFICANTLY nerfed to reduce XP and coins 2+ years ago).Quote:

Big day at Dibley Fields. Hurray for my townies and the town event! Today, I reached level 100, hit level 31 in town which allowed me to upgrade my B&B, and got my umbrella table!! Wow!!
I've maxed out the time/rep categories in B&B, spa, cinema and beach cafe. Just 2 more upgrades in the gift shop, then I can cast off the last of the TEMs clogging up my barn. What a relief that will be!
I would have actually made more progress in this event except that the Derby is a drag on town. I find myself trying to hold townies for tasks, not just for myself but for others in my NH, too. That's one reason I'm happy to have gotten all the special decor I really want. I may go back to opting out of the Derby; those plum trees and pink balloons can just sit there for a while.
