Please could help me with my base design

Hello all,

I have been using my current base design for quite a while now but i have found i get a lot more attacks now that i am slowly increasing my trophy's, I really want a base that is strong at protecting my resources while at the same time do not want to loose any of my hard earned trophy's.

I was also wondering and i am hoping i have not but did i prematurely my town hall? should i still be on lv 8 if so please give me some suggestions.

Also I have a few million of each resource at this moment and was wondering what i should be aiming to upgrade next. I saved to build my 2 X-Bows and i am very pleased with them they are fantastic, so was thinking should i be saving to upgrade them both to lv 2? i am currently upgrading my dark elixr mine to lv 4 and i also have a lv 3, also upgrading to lv 4 air defences and currently upgrading 2 of my archer towers to lv 4. Am i missing out and forgetting to upgrade anythink important? also is it time to upgrade to lv 6 mortars?.

Should i be saving to upgrade any of these?
Currently my best way of attacking is the farming method with BAG Barbarians, Archers and Goblins and when i have some spare dark elixr i go the the same strategy but with a few minions. So really these troops are my main priority.

I really would love a 5th builder as i am starting to earn a lot of resources with my strategy do you think its worth 2000 gems?

very bad advise. Upgrade yor goblins and stop hunting for cups your base isn't ready for it.

first off, upgrade those DEFENSES!! you have th6,th7 defenses!! the next thing you should do is upgrade walls!! you have th6,th7 walls!!!

the last thing by quickly scanning your village, is move the barbarian king from where he is!! he sucks as defense!! and the last thing I would move is that archer tower that is right next to the townhall!!

you need only 1 level 6 wallbreaker to break those walls. you are not getting far like that.

Sadly enough you are premature (village):(. Stop trophy hunting and go farming. Try to get enough to max out your splash defenses.(mortars/wizard towers). And as last, do not focus on your walls, higher then lv6 you dont need while farming at lower ranges.

Okay thats great advice vincentinator, Okay i suppose sadly i am a little premature on my town hall level.
I will aim to get all my wizard towers and mortars upgraded next and hopefully this should help me out. It just will take ages !!! haha ohh well.

Upgrade farming troops ASAP. Mortars to 6 walls to purple at a min. Troop cap to 220

You are very premature. To answer your question about walls, you should have AT LEAST 100% level 7 walls with preferably all level 8 walls. Upgrade your Air Defenses, Wizard Towers and Mortars before any other defenses (other than walls), and Archers, Barbs and Goblins (and WBs if you use them) before any other elixir purchase. As for the base design itself, I like it alot. I wouldn't attack IF it had TH 8+ Level defenses and TH 7+ level walls, and I'm a midway TH 8. (Except in walls, which I'm a little premature in.)

Since making this topic i have upgraded all wizard towers to lv 4 and am now working on lv 5 and they really are a great help.
I have been trying to upgrade my walls but they are expensive and there is a lot to upgrade at £200,000 each so i am trying to just upgrade a few a day.
After Wizzard towers are all lv 5 i will aim on lv 6 mortars.
I think these are appropriate upgrades taken from all of your advice.

Hello All.

Since 2 weeks ago i took many of your kind suggestions onboard and i am really starting to notice the improvements of having some higher level defences.

My defences now include:

1 X Lv 9 Archer Tower
5 X Lv 8 Archer Tower
1 X Lv 10 Cannon
4 X Lv 9 Cannon
2 X Lv 5 Wizard Tower
2 X Lv 5 Wizard Tower
1 X Lv 4 Air Defence
3 X Lv 3 Air Defence
3 X Lv 6 Mortars
4 X Lv 1 Hidden Teslas
2 X Lv 1 XBows
And a Level 3 Barbarian King

For walls i have been slowly been upgrading them one at a time in between when i get a free builder, so i now have;

172 X Lv 6 Walls
78 X Lv 7 Walls

In 2 weeks since i started this topic i not had any spare builders, they have always been working on the next upgrade also i have not used gems thats is why there has not been a huge amount of progression.

I have also redesigned my base and i am very happy with his new design.

As you can see from the photo i currently have 4M Elixr and nearly 5M Gold so the question is what would you reccomend upgrading when i start to get free builders?

Please make suggestions about my base and what is good and bad please so i can make improvements

Keep 1 builder available at all times for your walls this will allow you to upgrade walls much faster and get rid of some of those resources that are begging to be taken. Use all the gold you have on hand on your walls and when you get a builder with only 1 day left on his structure grind for that the next item you want to upgrade. Sitting on that many resources for periods of time is asking to get hit and it won't be difficult because your walls get broken through easily with th 7 troops not to mention th 10 troops.
