Haven't played since June. I noticed SC finally added the loot penalty warning when upgrading TH. However, that's beside the point. I can't find much gold at 1200 anymore at TH8. Or rarely.

I'm TH8 as well and like it best between 1400 - 1600, for gold and some DE :-)
For me it has moved into the 1300-1400 range.
try moving 1450-1550. I'm almost max th9 and gets crazy loots at 1550-1650 but what i see th8 could do well maybe 100 cups under that? 1450-1550 i bet.
No th9 should be at 1700-1800 sweet as lootQuote:

It's probably The best place for th 7s but for 8s and above id say1400-1700
