I've been in Centurae for a few week now and it's fantastic experience so far! Clan mates are super duper friendly and very active in donating troops.
Just some facts about me. I'm a 26 year old working adult and a former elder in my previous workplace clan. It was a fun guild and there's always 24hrs donation as my company operates 24hrs a day. Unfortunately, the clan had a mass quitting as there was conflict and 2 other clans were set up. All 3 clans wanted me over but i couldn't bear to take sides. So i decided to do something i always wanted to do. And that is to join an international farming clan. Posted on youtuber simon tay's facebook group to look around and someone suggested centurae. And ta da! I become part of the centum family.
Although colleagues were still actively recruiting me, i decided to stay with Centurae. Everyone is nice and friendly. Always willing to advice and seek advice for improvements. Encouragements were also constantly seen when a centurian gets discouraged when farming for walls. And can't beat that extremely fast filling of clan castle troops.

I’ve been in Ludus for a little more than a week, and it definitely is an experience unlike any other clan I’ve experienced before.
In the week before hitting TH7, I clan hopped a lot, donating randomly due to having been kicked from my previous clan for farming under 1000 trophies. At Ludus, you can farm at whatever range you feel comfortable with and that is always nice.
Gemming is discouraged and quite frankly unnecessary when you are in Ludus.
I literally joined the minute I hit TH7. If you’re considering Ludus though, I’d recommend having at least a few troop (or defense!) upgrades at TH7 before joining to make it slightly easier.
I’d first like to say major kudos to Vexed as well as the rest of the Centum team. It is very clear that they have put in a lot of effort, and that they continue to do so, making sure that newcomers understand the rules, but at the same time making sure that they feel welcome and comfortable.
Shoutouts to Karl and Xiin at Ludus for being super active and quite liberal with their advice. They play their parts as elders so well. They are understanding and flexible :D
I do think that since the 18+ rule is enforced quite strictly, it should be asked first before running new recruits through the welcome process.
That way you save yourself some time when the new members can unfortunately not stay anyway.
It is rather enjoyable that though a clan is known as a collective, yet at the same time personal achievements and joys (even those irl, if you choose to share them) are welcomed and celebrated by the rest of the community.
The trials themselves have been an interesting experience, and I am still working towards my final ones while typing this.
These challenges push you towards trying a wide range of the game, and I rather enjoy that.
Some of them are time-based, so for individuals with slow wifi and having to reload the base constantly, I feel as if some leeway should be given. While I do understand this can be abused… wait, where was I going with this point?
It is good that the team is flexible with the trials, changing the specific requirements in response to changes in game mechanics. I do think however, despite the array of methods of clan communication outside of the game, that the “clan message” system should be utilized a tad more. For example, when the specifics of the trials changed, I only picked it up through chatter on the clan chat.
One of the inevitabilities of having an active clan is that clan chat goes relatively fast. And if you do not happen to check it as often, you might miss important information like that. Not saying to use it excessively, but just frequently enough for important information J
I later learned that our leader was afk for the week, but having a simple clan mailer would have really helped others stay on the same page, as not everyone checks the out-of-game communication methods as frequently as they do the game, clearly xD
While it has been noted that CoC is just a game and that life always comes first, the trials can be very time consuming, intensive and challenging if you are unfamiliar with the concepts involved. As such, Ludus (at least for your initial week) is not for the casual CoC player, unless you have a week off or something, ha.
I do think that a week is slightly too short a time-frame for the trials, and that 10 days are more reasonable.
Justification being, people who are familiar with the content of the trials are going to complete them rather quickly. People who aren’t going to bother won’t do them no matter how many days you give them.
With 10 days though, you get two weekends instead of just one to figure things out, try new things, etc. Between work and other obligations, I feel this to be more attainable and achievable, instead of having to rely on a slow week or other factors and risk being penalized for it otherwise.
All in all, in my opinion Ludus (and the rest of Centum) is a clan for active, mature (not just age-wise) players that’d like to either learn more or put their abilities into quantifiable terms and experience more of the game.

This clan even goes beyond CoC and celebrates real life achievements like a recent pregnancy, which makes it an even closer, tight knit atmosphere. I could not be more excited to continue learning from and getting to know my fellow clan mates. If you are looking for a fun, relaxed, but still challenging clan, then this is the place.

Hi, ORC here with a request to include a lot of grass in a signature featuring a level 4 wizard.
I also like the color green, but you could also use orange for the name since it will clash with the grass.

I recently joined around a week ago and have just finished the 10 trials that have been set.
Originally I thought id have no chance at completing them but a week later here I am, I know no how to successfully raid lots of gold! And how to improve my tactics and my clan.
My previous clan was do inactive with good players but hardly any donates, here it has a great community feel and goes beyond the game, you actually get to know the people in your clan.
All in all I'm supremely happy with moving to this clan and I doubt that I will want to move again!

I am a member of clan 'centum ludus' and I love my clan! I think that the 10 challenges are brill, they are hard but it shows that we have a good system. Donations are great, whenever I request my castle is full within seconds it's awesome. I would really recommend this clan to anyone who is great at farming or wants to learn how to, base reviews and tips are given all the time in clan chat, just ask! It's awesome!:cool:

I just wanted to take a moment to talk about my experience in Centum Ludus so far.
I have been playing the game for about 9 months and while I have enjoyed it, I have found that I have increasing needed to buy gems just to keep my interest, as I could not effectively farm for resources, particularly gold.
After leaving my previous clan (which I was in for over 5 months) due to the lack of reciprocal donations and maturity of some players, I stumbled upon the Centum group of clans via the Supercell forums.
What immediately caught my attention was the great reviews current members have given the clan and how a majority of the reviews mentioned the advise and guidance they received from their fellow clan members. Farming, to date, had not been a success for me, so URGENT help was needed.
I applied to Centum Ludus because, although I had a fully maxxed TH8 defensive set up and almost maxxed TH9 troops, my walls were just rubbish. I was accepted and began my trials.
Now on the trials, I must confess that initially I did find the whole idea a bit intimidating but I thought I would have a go anyway. Well, let me just say that after only being in the clan for 5 days, I have raided almost 10million gold (I probably have played less than 2 hours per night on average), and in my one hour gold rush challenge, I managed to steal just over 2.14million in gold. The tips and tricks the elder and clan members have provided on their forum, website and clan chat has been invaluable to me and I look forward to a long membership with Centum.
I would encourage all players who would like to maximise their farming potential and who meet the clan requirements to apply TODAY.
CM Centum Ludus
I have been a member of Centum Ludus for just 5 days now. I want to tell you about my experience thus far. While I'm still getting to know the members, they have been welcoming. The chat is active nearly all of the time. Even overnight my time. I enjoy that people come and visit from the other clans.
As far as the trials go. They are challenging but not impossible. They will teach you some great tricks to really help your raiding improve. Because they do take some time and effort. It does weed out the not so serious players. So you end up with a active strong group of players. Everyone is encouraging and wants you to succeed. They do take some time so don't join during your finals week or while you are traveling as you could run out of time. If you put the effort in you will get a lot of them. A couple of them are worded a little tricky but everyone was happy to clarify and you can see others results so that can help answer your questions about how to go about it properly.
Personally I came from a clan, that was trying to tell people that they had to farm at a certain trophy level or would be kicked. Although this might work for some at higher levels with proper upgrades, and will inflate your clan with a higher ranking trophy level. But the inflation is artificial. Because most members unless they are already fairly advanced will not be able to maintain good growth. As they are just working harder but not smarter. At Centum it is the opposite they want people to grow their account correctly and efficiently. With what you learn in the trials upgrades are easier to get to. You end up having a not enough builders problem and overflow problems instead of scraping for resources to get your builders going. Elders are on often and answer your questions about farming, the trials and base design.
I also enjoy that they encourage requesting. I'm happy to donate and I do whenever I see a request, But in other clans I had to always I felt discouraged to request. It is nice not to be as concerned about requesting often because the clan castle troops can be every helpful, and the clan realizes that.
Now with my trials nearly passed, I look forward to continuing to get to know my clan mates and hopefully continuing to learn how to be a more effective player. If you want to maximize the time that you do play by learning some tried and tested techniques. Do consider applying to Centum Ludus or any of the Centum clans where you qualify.

I struggled at first but the members pointed me in the right direction on how to tackle these challenges. I'm still only a day in but got my first 1 million gold raid in under one hour. Amazing!!! I couldn't even hold anymore in my storages and now have to wait until I can spend some of it to get moving again!
Everyone is super friendly and willing to donate at the drop of a hat. I was so focused in other clans with ensuring people kept a good donation ratio and their trophy level at a certain level but in actuality those things don't really even matter. This clan is a 10/10 for sure!
I'm excited to learn more and keep raiding away!!! Hopefully with time constraints (work...blah) I'll be able to complete the last few challenges over the next week so I can be part of this game changing clan!

I must start off by saying this one is defiantly the best clan I have been too and one of the best farming clans out there if not the best.The first time I joined this clan,I just didn't real try my hardest to complete the trials and left half way through.But I came back with a good attitude and went for all the trials and here I am I have completed them all,I must say they all have really motified me.I could not have done this anywhere else! Also I Could not have done this without all the help from the elders and all the whole clan.I would highly recommend this to all the farmers that meet the requirements,Go for it!They have improved me incredibly in a short time!I found them all fun but challanging too,which is what you want!You could never expect how much you can improve in one week!

After a few tries in different clans I didn't really feel the same as a lot of people in the clans I was in. I decided to look on the forums and found the Centum Group. I seemed to fit in quite nicely in the Centum Ludus clan and was warmly met by several of the members.
As a UK player, I am on a lot when most of the US guys are asleep, so it was very pleasant to find myself always having someone to chat to and people to donate troops. It took a couple of days to get used to asking for donations as the other clans I have been in concern themselves with 'donation ratios'. Here the policy is simple: Donate what you can, request what you need. I liked it. Maybe this is something to do with the 18+ minimum age requirement, which for me is also another plus.
The trials were a bit daunting at first. I didn't really have much of a clue with regards to farming when I started. Often I would get to 1 million gold or elixir and stall, unable to get any further, but through taking the trials step by step and asking and receiving very helpful advice from the elders I was able to complete them in 4 days.
I did struggle to find decent levels to farm at. I am a premature TH9 (I wanted X-Bows), so some of the trials were particularly tricky, but I persevered and with some more advice I finally completed my final trial.
This has been a really fun experience, and I look forward to helping others with their trials.
They get a 10 out of 10 from me.

I am extremely happy with the Centum Ludus clan. I've been looking for an adult clan where there are serious players that are on to help and of course to donate and receive clan castle reinforcements. Because let's face it, that's really the biggest benefit from a clan. With Centum Ludus there are always people on and my Clan Castle is always filled almost immediately. The trials ensure that there are always serious players on that are donating. There is high demand for this clan and it's always near full.
I really like the idea of the trials. They ensure that only serious players are going to join and stay involved, not clan hoppers that are in and out all the time. The trials aren't super difficult, but you do have to invest a good amount of time in them, and they push your skill in the game as a farmer predominately. Similar to Xetius above I am a little premature with TH9 and it was more difficult for me to pass the trials because it's harder to find big targets, but I passed and I'm really happy I did. I'm looking forward to being in this clan.
I am interested in your claims of 1-2 million per hour farming. Are the techniques used in this clan different from what you would find elsewhere on the forums?
i am loyal to my clan (adult Donaters) but I am interested in improving my farming.

Hi I requested to join Centum Ludus but was denied pretty quick, so I thought the better thing to do would be to apply on here. I have 4 builders, I am TH8, I have all lvl 6 walls and about 25 lvl 7, all my splash is maxed and i'm slowly working on point defenses. I'd love to become part of the family :)

When I first joined Centum, I felt the same way but now I understand how this review system actually works. The review members give is indeed a part of their trials (last one), and it is also forced but to only make them complete their trials. We dont intervene between their views. We only come to know about them when they present their views here.
But no member is 'forced' to write good things about us. I mean how can we? We do not go up to their homes and point a gun at their head. If you have time, go through this thread and our older threads. You would find negative comments about the trials also. Now please do not say we forced them to say bad things about our trials:p.
While we try to make our own way to impart knowledge to the new recruits, its not possible to make everyone happy and we understand that not everybody would like the idea of those trials. But then we do ask the new recruits whether they want to take those trials or would like to leave?
People are free to present their views just like you.

Okay guys, this isn't part of my trials! I've done then already! But I really wanna thank the centum family for making me a much better farmer. When I joined, I was a hopeless townhall 7 struggling for lv7 walls, but now, I'm farming lv8 walls faster then ever! This is all thanks to trials that have made me a much better farmer. Although I was already an awesome guys when I joined, the centum family has made me awesome-er! :p

Well, hey guys.
After finding this clan on the forums a month back, I decided that I would push for their requirements and found it quite difficult (because it took quite a while). However, after joining Centum Ludus and completing the 10 trials, I've discovered that farming is a lot faster and I could have achieved the requirements I was pushing for in less than half the time if I was already in Centum Group.
The Group is friendly, and my donation requests always fill up quickly. I've made 10 million gold in two days and the trials helped me learn what to do. Although I found some of the trials a bit odd, such as rage for dark elixir (I believe it should be lightning instead since it would have a better correlation on dark elixir farming), I thought they were a great learning experience. I also think they should be harder, though. It was almost too easy in all honesty. Trials that require a certain amount of troops ONLY for a certain amount of gold would've increased the difficulty and made it an even better learning experience. Nonetheless, Centum is pretty great and I'm glad to be able to say I've just completed my 10 trials.

Although I have only been in the clan for a short amount of time I have improved tenfold.
When I joined the clan I considered myself a fairly decent farmer, I could raid about 700k gold an hour and I thought that was well above par. About 1 hour after I joined I had learnt so much and went for 1 hour raiding session as part of the trials. I used the clans tricks and not mine. I raided over 1.9 million gold in one hour! And that was just the start of it. If you want to improve your farming skills definitely try to join.
These tips and tricks may be all well and good but a good clan is an organized clan. The Centum family is so organized it is actually amazing. The way they connect all the clans through glassboard, their website and the forums is so well done you will never struggle for communication again!
Summing it up the Centum family are the place to be and i definitely recommend getting down here ASAP!

I joined Centum Ludus last week and must say, that I am really happy I did so.
I was welcomed well by the elders and the other memebers, who are not holding back on giving tips on raiding or donatig troops.
They told me about 10 trials to become a real member. At first i thought: "Hmm that is not possible", but as the week is progressing my farming skills are really improving due to the tips and support from the members. Before joining I was happy if I made 1 mio gold in a day, but just 5 days into the trials I just made 1.28 mio gold in 1 hour. So it is not just a test, but much more an opportunity to learn how to farm close to perfectly.
