Maybe, Just maybe Supercell aren't ready to tell anyone yet, and no matter how much people on these forums think they have the right to know whats going on behind the scenes, they don't.

Did anyone else read this as condescending? I think we understand the definition of "Soon™." This message could have come off as fun and light if it was followed up with a "you are right I should have reached for my thesaurus because as a PR specialist I understand that connotation matters." These jokes work best with some self deprication.

Players just want to know that in 7 days they will get some answers and not be in the same boat(see what I did there:)) as they are today. The updates, glitches, bugs, side affects, and silence aren't the biggest frustration most players seem to have. I asked my clanmates what they would have thought if they had quietly let out the last update and then spent time and money promoting what could become of the builder base. This would be hyping potential that could last a lot longer than a single update. No one single let down date. All who responded thought that would have made things different. As with this season extension, it honestly could have been no big deal but the inconsistency in reasoning was frustrating, as well as the communication. A simple in game message the morning this happened with something along the lines of, "exciting new changes coming to leagues soon!"

Lets not forget, this was not something SC told us about. Players found out for themselves. It was purposely hidden for reasons unknown. Why try and sneak something in? I am passed caring what this new 'cool' thing is - but I am certain it will not justify sneaking a change through and then keeping players waiting for days on end guessing as to what on earth is going on with the league season.

All this thread and the current new hype threads would have all been prevented had SC simply said in the announcement..."We are also extending the season whilst we work on something new....please bear with us"

With respect, when players spend their hard earned money up in the Legends league and are used to a defined date for the season finishing, then imo they do have aright to know what is going on when out of the blue, said season is extended. To suggest otherwise shows bad practice and a total disrespect to those players.

No one is forcing anyone to spend money on this game, and more so spending more on this game, doesn't mean anyone has a given right to know whats going on. We've all been told something is happening and we'll know soon.. Honestly the hostility in this thread, some of you should check whats going on in the real world and put all this into perspective..

Hey chief, were scheduling a maintenance break to prepare for some exciting new changes that we will be rolling out next week. After the maintenance break, the trophy season will be extended by 1 week in preparation for this exciting new update.

What we got was "maintenance break, server fixes" posted in a never visited subforum .

Whatever is going on in the "real world" does not stop people becoming annoyed at other issues in life. And when they have an issue they are entitled to express their views. That exactly what these forums are for. None of my posts are hostile - they question the conduct of SC introducing something without informing its player base. We are entitled to express are views on this.

So yes, I am entitled to post my views.

And this bit tells me that Darian doesn't really understand the game at higher levels which is Not Good for a community manager or whatever his title is. The badge reset was a minor irritant, you should be apologising for extending an already long season with no notice whatsoever.
