I don't think they would bring new heroes already or anything related to DE, I mean, it's too soon, most people don't even have enough DE to afford the queen, DE economy is not mature enough, by far.
My thought is that last update was mainly for gemmers, I mean for non gemmers, it will take very long to upgrade their heroes. This one is for the average player, lv6 troops. And it's good news. Yes it will cost lots of elexir but it will be more achievable than heroes... And it should balance a bit all the new defense added lately.
I knew it already but it seems I will be a farmer for ever in this game lol it's a good thing elexir is very easy to max out while farming :) plus I was already wondering what will be next for my elexir since most of my troops will be fully upgraded very soon :)

I hope these new troops are not for level 9 TH only. There is already too much disparity between level 8 and 9 TH vs all level of other TH's. I cant imagine getting attacked by a level 9 TH with all level 6 troops and heros and not having the defenses to handle that. I mean heck... no x-bow to help defend.
