Fair attacks

Hello all,

I'm a relatively new player to coc but I do like the game and I don't have many complaints. The main issue I have is the fact that I am constantly attacked by much higher level players. I'm a level 31 now and I haven't been attacked by anyone lower than a 36. I feel the game is geared more towards offense, which is fine, but shouldn't there be something to level the playing field? I have tried building my base into a corner but troops can be deployed further than my defenses can. The second issue with this is the trophies and the reward system. I'm a lower level so it is impossible to protect 50% of my buildings, and once I give up that easy 1st star, or a second, why do I lose 20+ trophies? I think there should be a range that you can search for, and if you are attacked by a higher level it shouldn't count against you. Just my two cents, TY

i agree you loose way too many trophies when u get raided by a higher opponent

Yep, I was attacked by a lvl 10 th for no reason, only got 6,000 elixir and gold, only 100 dark elixir and they got 27 trophies (im a th lvl 7)

It is well documented that the raiding algorithm is based solely on the number of trophies. If you are being raided by very much more experienced players, chances are you have climbed up the trophy scale too far for your own good. Other than to complete certain achievements or support your clan in reaching a particular level, there is no benefit in raiding too high when you still have a lot to build. I would focus on finding a level that gives you good resource raiding and where your defences has a chance. Also, consider placing your town hall outside of your walls as you will often get a cheap shield and lose very little in terms of cups or resources

You are being attacked by farmers, players who purposefully drop trophies in order to gain easy loot. Most don't do this for long. Just long enough to get the money for wanted upgrades. It's just part of the game. It's not like it's a broken system. Just be patient and keep working to upgrade your defenses. A lot of players have problems because they spent all their resources early on on troops and offensive things, but neglected defense. Upgrade, upgrade, upgrade! And don't let your trophies get too high. You may be trying to play in a trophy level that is out of your league, so to speak.

I like getting raided by higher ths sometimes because I don't get swarmed by farmers and players so i can go up in trophys

TH Differential %'s for resources/loot were installed to make lower town halls less desirable, and higher town halls more lucrative to help resource-wise. I've read a few suggestions to do the same with trophies - make reduced trophies for higher TH's attacking lower?

This absolutely should not be done with trophies. Currently trophies is the only advantage you get from having a mature base, take that away and why upgrade at all?

So higher TH vs lower TH would get less trophies for a win and lose more on a lose, fine with me. :rolleyes:

Hi Nolemagic,

As others have said, matchmaking is based on trophies; so it's possible you could get hit but even lv 100+ players.

However the loot rules behind the obvious is what protects you. Those with a higher hall get MUCH less loot then those at your own hall level. Often making it not profitable for a higher player to hit you.

The best way to protect yourself against these stronger players is to be patient upgrading your hall. Don't rush it, upgrade other stuff first and you will find your clash journey a safer one.
