Simple question. I know wizards (troops, not the wizard tower) target single units or buildings when used on raids and that wizard towers obviously do splash damage. But I have heard several players claim that wizards who come out of clan castles on defense do splash damage against attacking units. Is this true? I cannot tell from my replays. I know what the wiki says (always single); I want to see if anyone knows from experience. Thank you.
They attack single units (at least for me).
They do single damage always.

The wizard shoots one unit but they do splash damage. It shoots one unit but hits as many as there are in the same place. The same rule applies for dragons and balloons.

They definitely do splash which makes them deadly against any army.
It' splash my cc (7 L6 wiz) kills an intire hog army in less than a few seconds.

Whoever's saying that wizards don't do splash damage are either lying or newbies. They definitely do splash damage.
They have a splash damage. Though its quite smaller than that of the defensive Wizard Tower, they can still take out multiple troops with one shot.
You can find this out by clicking on the Barracks, and clicking the little blue 'i' on the troop icon...
Just try sending a huge clump of archers againts a couple wizards and you'll see for yourself.;)
They do splash. Once they killed 30+ hogs in a few seconds.

NO offense, but LOOK AT THE DATE ON THE THREAD! i remember, when I was new to this game, in March 2013, wizards did single damage when i first started (it changed to splash pretty soon)

They certainly do splash damage.
There's nothing like an attacker trying to deploy a whole bunch of troops but they get instantly incinerated by your wizards from your CC.
It splashes. But only affects the troops that are in the same square. So the splash radius is SUPER SMALL
