iOS 7 UPDATE

For those of you who are updating to iOS 7 today, just a warning that its going to take around 5 hours to do the update, which will include some down time for your device, so you might want to wait to set it going when you head for bed, rather than interrupt game play.

If you think I've suddenly gone all 'techie', not the case, This message is courtesy of my 'computer whiz' daughter.

I bet the server (from Apple, not Hay Day) are slow right now.

5 hours?! Unreal.

It typically happens on the first day of a new iOS update release. Think I'll hold off til tomor or the weekend til the mad rush dies down.

Nothing will come between me and my Hay Day! :)

I can't say how hammered Apple's serves will be, but please make a backup of our device before updating!! :) I have iOS 7 on my iPhone and Hay Day rocks with it.

i dont understand, why does it takes 5 hrs. as far as i understand, its just an update of the cosmetic aspect mostly of ios, even if its a "overhaul" but lol it sure does looks like an android interface now.

I have not updated yet, i usually wait a while, but i still don't understand why does it takes 5 hours? is this through itunes?

Its not going to be 5 hours. As developer I already got updated my devices to the beta versions. Each takes about half and hour to proceed trough good wifi.

The gm edition (the final one that comes today) is going to take max an hour even less. Depends. But 5 hours? Seriously? Don't think so...

Think of it this way, u have a bunch of people trying to get across a toll bridge at the same time...traffic will slow down but u will eventually get across. Whereas if there's no traffic, getting to the other side would be quick.

When i saw the message from pjawn /pjaw/pf..... i don't know.. lolzzz :o, i immediatly went to settings for updating, didn't knew about the 5 hours yet. It takes a long time indeed, but gladly i can still play hayday meanwhile.
i'm so curious to experience myself how hayday goes with it!

And this is the first time in my whole apple-life that i know the same day that there's an ios update:o Thanks to this forum.
Normally i update after getting a message on my device, and thats always more then a week later :rolleyes:
