I also am relieved that Sanctuary is apparently the new feature, not Circus Train. I have a teenaged kid who fears clowns of any type, and a Circus Train would horrify and upset her.

Animal Sanctuary could be delightful, as long as it keeps to the essence of Hay Day where nothing is harmed and everything is happy.

I agree Perky, a sanctuary could be lovely and I also do not want a circus.

Any ideas as to how xp and coins would come from a sanctuary? Or could its purpose just be to buy animals with vouchers, diamonds and/or coin?

i cannot profess any idea of how it may affect xp coins of vouchers, of a feature which has not yet been announced...

but, if it is a 'sanctuary' - perhaps it could be just another way to have more 'pets' - quite frankly. that would be easy. just like the cats, dogs, horses, etc. - they could do the same thing in another area.

maybe they could put a building or two there. a cafe, a general store, a game hunters lodge,, who knows - those could work like town.

i really hope this new update will bring something more than a re-processed current game function but those would be two easy solutions.

nobody knows, yet, though.

If I had to bet, I'd bet the animals would cost vouchers, not diamonds or coins. I have no evidence of that, just that the basic farm animals (without which the game cannot be played) cost coins, and the pets (which are very nice but not critical) cost vouchers.

If the test is: can the game be played without this animal, then an Animal Sanctuary presumably would not impact the fundamental operations of the game (using crop and animal products to make stuff to do Boat/truck/town orders). You can play hay day and ignore the Animal Sanctuary, in the same way as y can play hay day and ignore the town, the mine, the boat dock, and the truck board.

The animals in the sanctuary could be analogized to the pets we already have + the town. Therefore, I would expect the AS to operate the same way: animals consume farm products and give EMs, with different types of animals available at different levels. Visitors come to the AS from the town on a separate train, so I would also expect opportunities to upgrade the sanctuary train to bring in more visitors, and service buildings to accommodate their orders, which would give AS Points and EMs to upgrade the sanctuary.

All I can say is, I hope the AS will need MAPS (but I bet it won't). Again: I could ensure that the AS would utilize maps by selling off my map hoard, but I'm not going to do that, so this means we will all need a new kind of EM to expand the sanctuary. LOL and you're welcome :)

These are just my thoughts - I have no extra or inside information.

And the horse! Maybe we'll finally get that last horse (Clydesdale please!)

I will predict we will have sneak peeks this week and the update on Monday that way hd can go to "vacation" after that :cool:

A LONG time ago SC had a Circus Train which was very close to being activated when issues were discovered and the idea was dropped. I wonder if this means it's more likely (reusing a concept almost ready to go) or less likely (already canned the idea)?

I'm another who would prefer a Sanctuary, but HD is so removed from reality (especially as a vegetarian) that a Circus wouldn't actually bother me.
