I have a question that I can't find the answer for or maybe i'm just being a bit blind:eek:
How many production slots can you open at each machine? Im thinking of opening more slots on my dairy and sugar (I have 6 on each at the moment) but as diamonds are scare right now for me, I want to make use them wisely and don't know whether this is the best thing to do.

You can always get two feed machines and try to open up a few of the slots there as you go along. You will need the extra sugar and dairy slots as you level up, but remember that you can't produce cheese and cream and butter if you have no feed for your animals.
Or you can have a neighbour that sells feed and you can just buy from that neighbour
Yes, I sell a lot of excess chicken and some cow feed.
Ive got both feed machines and 4 slots in each at the moment. Im coping with feeding all the animals I have at the moment. Just tending to buy eggs when im running short rather than using my chickens to be honest. I've got my routine going for that. Feed them..make cow food, then feed pigs and queue that up then sheep and so on.
Im gonna have to sit down and work out what I should be running when im out at work for 8 hours a day. Im scared to try connect my iphone to the same farm in case something goes wrong.

<3 thanks i tried. i know how frustrating it is to page through pages for hours to find nothing, so i am trying to help people. :P But alot of the stuff that i sell takes long time to make, so it really bothers me inconsiderate people just come and swoop it all up without a care and leave without even bother to water my trees (I WAS THERE LOL)

after reaching level 42, suddenly my production is really hectic. I find myself buying milk and cow feed. my 2 cow pens cant keep up!

I am new to Hay Day but ridiculously addicted. I have seen players saying that they have 9 slots open and I wonder if more slots become available as you level up, as my machines don't have the option at the moment to have more than 5 or 6 slots open no matter how many diamonds I have burning a hole in my pocket.
Lol, I guess I'm more of a noob than even I thought. I'm glad I came across this thread as I didn't even realise that we could open up more slots! I just thought those diamonds were for speeding up the processing, but I can see now that one is for speeding up and one is for adding slots. There was me carrying on with 2 slots per machine :rolleyes:

Just last week I decided to spend my diamonds and I opened up more slots on my sugar mill and dairy. I now have 8 on each. But after reading that 9 is the max, I might increase them each to the max.
It was something I should of done a long time ago. This way I know I'm making lots while I'm sleeping and at work.
Before, when I would wake up to go potty, I could grab my iPad and queue up more sugar and diary products. Now I just queue up syrup, cheese and goat cheese before I go to sleep and don't have to worry about it.
The rest of my machines have anywhere between 2 - 5 slots on each.
