Healer needs a buff, nevermind Valkyrie.

Healer is almost useless for everyone with TH lvl 8 and above as everyone who knows how to play this game will have well defended and developed air defense. For farming low level players, the healers are useful as the weak air defense can be taken out before deploying a healer. But for everyone who is attacking for say a well developed base, healer is just a waste of elixir and 14 space.

Healers are absolutely useless for clan castle and when you take it to battle. They need a huge boost in dodging those missiles. My suggestion on how to improve them is by setting up a system where they would have 1 in 3 chance of getting hit by the air defense. With that it will all depend on luck and may give them a better chance of surviving a bit longer.

Im TH9 and still use Healer in each of my raids, granted they only last about half of the match as i can normally only pick off 1-2 AD's on one side of the base if they are exposed a pinch but i think the balance is good for the troop cost and training time. I can still do a 30Min army with healer in the mix so i think its ok.

I think it just depends what type of bases you attack using your healers. They can be beastly with giants and heroes.

Choose your battles wisely.

They need a buff, but not that buff.

Healer on defence needs a buff so they do half heals on heros so why not double the normal heal rate on defence

I would prefer an A.I enhancement more than anything

I find healers work fine with if you make the necessary troops combinations - against AD's that is. They are definitely useful against TH 8

What I find is once your trophy count is high enough, people will use black air-mines. 1-hit and your healer is toast.

Aside from that throwing in a few minions or balloons can draw fire away from the healers. Played right you can still have a pretty good go at 50%. Still that one shot kill is hard to get around.

The replay works with only with troops placement and AI.
There's no such random thing will happen.

My suggestion, increase the heal range by whatever as long as air defense can't touch her easily.
But decrease the amount of heal by 50-70% and increase the elixir costs.
That will make healer invicible, but need at least 3 or 4 of it to keep the giants alive.
Expensive, waste of troops space.
So people had to use the rest of troops space smartly in order to win, maybe adding wizard or witch.

I say no. Healers are really useful actually. I could actually argue that they're kinda OP because with giant healer you can smash through a good base with only lower tier troops.

I like this idea.

Why nevermind the Valkyrie? Healer is useful in Giant-Healer as well as several DE Hunting Armies, but Valks are useful in... Nothing :p.

You're attacking abandoned base, you had archer queen and she's level 15.
Fortunately, your AQ attacked the air defense, not giants.
That's why your healer survive.

Don't be ridiculous, healers are extremely powerful and useful if used correctly. They do not need a buff. They would be way too OP if they did.

They were made cheaper, trained faster and had their housing space reduced not that long ago - it is more then enough.

Proves my point why they are OP. When air defenses are destroyed or distracted, Healers especially when coming in pairs or threes healing the same target/s can keep giants, wizzies, heroes immortal.

In my opinion anything less than 2 healers in an army composition is a poor choice and tends to fail a lot. You need at least 2 to negate damage from maxed out point defenses.

Yes, they're not bad.
I can't use healer, my barbarians won't survive even if I put 5 healer there. :eek:

I had a barb tank 2 Level 1 Xbows once while flailing his rusty sword away at an open DE storage. While being healed by 2 healers, he survived the entire time except I ran out of clock... :(

Personally I use healers in my normal raiding army, and I can say you just have to learn to use them. they are fantastic troops that do just an amazing job, but when I misjudge a base, they (I) fail miserably.

No, theyre still good. Its the players that need AI improvements (i know hes talking about buffs, but AI is more accurate)

My all-time favourite overnight army is 30 wizards, 5 wallbreakers, and 5 healers, works a charm. Healer's don't need a buff.

The only thing that needs a buff is your tactics with them.

Yep, I usually send in 20 wizards and 3 healers to clear the path, using 2 rage, before sending in the last 10 with 1-2 healers with the last rage to get the storages/TH depending on whether I'm hunting trophies of gold.

The only problem is with this strategy if you pick the wrong base to attack, it can go horribly wrong if the first wave of wizards die to quickly.

Another good tactic would to bring along 10 minions to tank for the ADs until the wizards can take them out.

I use 1 healer with every full attack. Using 2 is nice, but takes too long to cook, and not necessary on most farming bases. Just like any tactic, it takes practice and experience. (I attack plenty of times without full army, so I can attack 3-4 times per hour despite using giant/healer army) I have been learning balloons/minions, and I fail hilariously plenty of times. That doesn't mean the tactic doesn't work, I just haven't figured it out yet. Think of all the videos of Pekka wandering around the outside of bases, or a flock of minions shot down by one air mine. Judging a troop you haven't perfected yet isn't fair. (I am TH9 and Healer lvl 3 still works fine, but I can't wait to try lvl 4)

So the Healer is just right in my opinion, though being a frequent user I think a slight increase in range might be appropriate. But that isn't a required fix, it's just a personal want because then it would be even more awesome. :cool:

Healers work well for me. I use 2 healers and 17-18 giants... You should adapt and choose the reachable air defense...
use heal spell or maybe hog rider to get rid of the air defense first.

After the air defense been destroyed and you still have 15 giants... you can deploy your healers and
your troops will survive 1-2 stars at least even there is level 1 xbow.

Don't tweak the healers range and reduce the splash... nooo....

I agree about controlling healer AI... it will increase my attack success higher...

Valkyrie... hmmm splash attack melee? For what? CC Troops? Her hp not enough for tank... and her attack favourite is any. What strategy using her? I would replace her with wizard, cheaper, shorter cooking time, range type, less spacing army camp what else? I think there is more reason.

Maybe increasing her hp would increase her value. I don't know... never use her. How come nevermind... :)

I absolutely hate healers i would buy 10000 DE mines and get 20 lv 10000 Air defences to stop people using them on me

The prioritization is way off. 2 healers will stay behind to heal one wizard while my 15 giants are getting slaughtered.

It needs to be able to prioritize greatest damage done in a given area rather than a single unit.

I see healers getting stuck healing barbarians and wizards, the AI is flawed.
