Hi Guys,
i'm a (almost maxed out) th 8.
What is, in your opinion, the fastest and most successful army to climb from Crystal 3 to Crystal 1.
I've heard a lot about balloons and minions. But since i'm only th 8, my balloons are lvl 5 and my minions are lvl 4.
Will it work?
Hopefully someone can help me out!

My balloons are still level 4 for a few days, so they just go "pop" real fast..
Personally, I did it with 6 dragons (lvl3), 40 minions (actually level 3 for most of it), and all rage spells (level 5). Ideally, use 1-2 rage per fight, so you can sustain the build times (2 session per day, from 2-6 raids per session). Try and keep archers in the CC, another dragon if you can, but you need something (and/or your king) to help get that last few % when things don't quite work out.
It was "fast enough", but I wasn't just chasing cups, I was also looking for bases with a lot of loot. Got me to 2406, from somewhere in Crystal 3, in maybe a week or two?
edit: I was also upgrading, on average, 3 defenses all this time... my base is only now getting close to maxed out (one final tessla upgrade due to be started in 3 days). Not that it matters, you should not win a single defense over 2300 cups even with a maxed out TH8.

TH Snipe to Crystal II, it's possible but takes 75+ skips. From there onwards, use 8 drags and 20 minions, with all rage in spells. It takes under an hour to cook :).

What works for me is
12 wbs
14 giants
60 archers
60 barbs
having 12 wbs really lets your barbs do whatever they like to most bases.

Dragons can do the job, might not be the fastest but in th 8 not to many choices .
