Title says it all. I am TH 9 and normally farm with my TH exposed for the cheap shield. I just got to Crystal III and am thinking of pushing on. I am wondering if I should leave the TH where it is, or get it to the center of my base and protect it.

Good to have your TH outside until Crystal, but afterwards, you will want to prevent 3 stars.

Keep that thing inside or you will be crushed, lol higher up you go the harder it is, even if they get 1 star with 99% crushed, if they don't get your town hall, you saved 2/3 of the trophies they would've gotten for 100% you or even 2starring you, town hall is important. I'm currently in masters 2, if you don't have a shield and log off for even a little bit, you will be attacked quickly.
If your TH is outside, to get a free sheild, you can use all your defenses to protect against the other two stars.....Quote:

NO. If your TH is outside then it will probably be taken out every time you log off, and most people won't stop at 1 star. They'll try to 50% your base with outside buildings resulting in 2 stars.
This is suicide if you ask me.
Give yourself half a chance of limiting damage during defenses and heavily protect the TH.
It sucks but once you get high you'll be losing 20 to 35 trophies on defences and probably only able to pick up between 4 to 10 on attacks so you'll have to attack 4 times for every defense. In my opinion you do not want to be doing this with an easily exposed TH.
Thanks for the feedback. It has been slow going and I lose more cups when I don't get 50% than from attacks on my base. So far anyway. To center my TH I have to swap with a resource storage or do a whole redesign. I am still gonna try to get to at least Crystal 2 for now as is and reassess. 100 cups to go and the goal seems so close...
