Accidentally trashing own active task!

Accidentally trashing own active task! This has been an on going problem in our neighborhood since hd introduced derby !
Contacting Hay Day response is always same, no task is trashed without players confirmation. Yes we understand that. Last 3 derbies I personally have trashed over 450 tasks to refresh task board as team is reluctant to work task board because of this problem. I have written to Hay Day a multitude of Accidentally trashing own active task! I have written to Hay Day a multitude of times over the years and am quite fed up that they choose not to address the issue. My most recent thought on fixing this problem is to..

Simply require double tap confirmation before allowing player to trash their own active task.
They already have this capability as it is option in settings if you want double tap confirmation before buying diamonds.

Please add to this thread if this has been a problem in your Neighborhood and add any ideas as to correct this issue. I would like to develop a case Hay Day won't ignore and get this issue corrected. Thank you so very much for your time. Sincerely Ginger Cat 😽

I wish they would move the trash button for your own active task to another spot. So it wouldn't even be possible to accidentally do it. I sometimes wonder if they don't do thus simply because it *forces* players to spend diamonds on a tenth task....

yes, trashing your own task happens a lot.. but you do get a conformation question.. and even then some players then press yes so their task gets trashed.. And of course they tell you its not their fault..

I told the players in my hood that they had to work slow and steady on the board. concentrate while working on the board is the only solution..

One thing you can try is that if a player is actively working on a task, do not work the board. I play in a small hood, and we generally do a delayed start, so we have many tasks "ready-to-go" when we take them. Each is finished rather quickly and before more tasks need trashing. If you have a large group, there are probably players that would not have an active task that could trash the board and help lessen the chance that someone will "accidentally" trash their own task.

I actually asked for this in the wish list thread because it's a silly problem, it costs them nothing to move the dialog box someplace else so you can't accidentally tap on it as your trashing because your finger works faster than your brain reads the 'this will change the task quota for this derby' or whatever message comes up.....

'Move the window for trashing your own, current derby task to the upper left or upper right of the screen and put the confirm button in red - in other words, not in the center where the 'are you sure you want to trash this task' message also appears every time you trash a routine derby task ....I know it's user error, and I know it's because muscle memory works better than process memory - but it would be super nice if it wasn't so easy to trash your own task while trashing the derby board. Pretty please. You can't even spend diamonds to fix this mistake so supercell isn't losing any revenue and it would be really nice.'

Rest well tonight knowing that this will never be changed. My group and every group has asked for it 20 times over. Not happening. They're too committed to the narrative now.
Other than this, I cannot think of a single reason why it doesn't make sense to make this simple change.

I hate to post on this subject as I will probably jinx myself; and I know some in my NH have accidentally trashed their own task. Still, when I go to clear the board, my current task doesn't automatically appear unless I tap on it from the in-process tasks. ...and why would I do that?

Maybe the answer is instead of SC rewriting code, people don't tap on their task? Not trying to be snarky and I realize it sucks to trash your own task, but I can see my task progress from outside the board. I guess I don't understand what is happening...

You're right ChelFarmer. I've done it one time and will never do it again...learned the hard way.
I think the point is, if you have time to add worthless things like Rose and Ernest to help people that aren't on farming, it seems fairly simple to add a red flashing siren if you're trashing your own task. Probably would take 10 minutes of code writing. :)
I do see that we have some new decorative trees though! Time well spent....

Did it myself last week, so annoying, I was trashing tasks on the board then noticed my task had disappeared too. Not good when we needed the points to be in top three. Wasted task. Would love it to be the same as diamonds thank god for that the amount if diamonds I wasted back then.

Please, please SC, incorporate a safety net to prohibit accidentally trashing an active task. It happens so quickly and easily, the feeling of letting your entire neighborhood down is horrible. We have had players hide away for days after making the mistake. I hope you will take my request into consideration.
