Proposed New Builder Base Loot System [With Pictures... YAY!]

Queenbee, I won't quote that monster, but....THERE WONT BE ANY CLOUDS. EVER.
It's the absolute best thing about it, and the worst, because it's so desperately needed in regular multiplayer for high leagues.

If you can't understand how a 1v1 will never have clouds (as in you only need there to be 1 other person in the whole world, anywhere near your trophy count, to be looking for a battle) then I can probably never explain it.

But trust me, whatever is wrong with the update or night mode game....the trophy system ain't it.

I would love to trust you but I do not see it. Limiting the number of attacks people have per day means the pool of players is smaller. Then try matching to somebody the same level as you searching at the exact same time. As people tire of it and max it out the number of people going to that base will drop even more as many will not even get on to do their 3 attacks per day.

This farm value is with 2200 trophies, you need show us how will be these values with diferent trophies values. And the value of each victory is too low yet, need an review. Youve need think the idea of increase the farms gain per battle, or make infinite(has on main village), and making troops have a cost.

My only concern is WHY ruin an existing game by adding a new game mode...

A lot of things could've been added/fixed in the existing game mode instead of introducing a new one. What is my incentive to play the new game mode when i have a badboy TH11 on its way to almost maxing out? If i wanted to start from scratch i would have made another account.

1 - We technically have a VS mode already which is called the Revenge button so nothing new there.
2 - I can make all the loot i want when ever in the day or days i get a chance to, which isn't the case here no matter after how many days i play i only get 3 attacks to loot.
3 - Wish we could UN-BUILD that boat before it set sail....
4 - Why isn't rushing allowed in the new game mode ?
5 - It isn't linked enough to the existing game as well where my main base would have an impact on it nor it has an impact on war. I would rather make another existing game account and war with it thn waste time and effort on this.

Just keep the bonus system same as the current one and let people gain smaller loots for additional wins. It's not a rocket science

Hmm Tbh I find this builder base too detached from the main base ... the opp up effects are minor (at this stage) and limiting the loot in the builder base is a major pita.

I agree with a post earlier where you could armour up troops with different types of swords spears etc etc and maybe have the addition of a moat you can build around your home base etc ... sticking to the original clan style of battle and enhancing it a bit here and there ... to me this new village is too detached from the main base and they could have implemented versus battles in the main base as an option anyway. Or perhaps looked at engineering two way play as in clsah royale, but where one is only defender and one is only attacker ... and have a versus game play in one match... ?

as defender you also the are able to marshall your defensive troops as you wish using all troops not just clan castle troops... will require maybe rebalanicng and different troops for attack and defense but it can be worked into the original base

matches could also be made to last longer 5min plus etc and really change the game play into a much more "two-way" strategic slant

Agreed, marginally increasing the loot players can get per day but requiring them to attack 7x more doesn't seem like a solution.

3 wins if you know what you're doing or get lucky can take about 6 minutes. there isn't much enjoyment there. I think it's a great idea to increase the loot cap for wins and reduce the total earned for each one. If there is a slight (20-25%?) increase in the total earned per day i think that would even better. I made such a tiny dent on day 1 from those limits that are currently in place. Perhaps the cost of upgrades can be adjusted as well to even out the total completion time.

How about after we earn the loot bonus we are able to continue attacking and earn some perk that relates back to our main village. This perk could be Gear XP that we can use in some way on our main base. Or the gold that is used for gear updates (double Cannon etc) can be builder gold that is earned from grinding Vs battles beyond the loot cap.

I agree with you, the boat update shouldn't be compared with clan wars.

I think this is a great idea, shame it wasn't thought of off the bat but such is life. The big loot is great for big upgrades, but having that passive 1k bonus all the time would really help when starting out and upgrading the likes of traps and collectors while you wait to get a significant amount of loot again! Hope this is implemented ASAP ����

1) revenge is very hard to accomplish in the main game, always a sheild or guard or person online. This is also different as it is a contest between the two players.

2) They maxed out accounts in 2 weeks with the same system on an 8 hour cool down. 24 hour cool down may not be the right way, but it will need to so for now.

3) New game mode is optional. You didnt habe to repair the boat, and you dont have to use it if you repaired it.

4)Rushing is allowed, you just need everything at lv1 before moving foreward. You dont have to upgrade it

5) Gearing up is the link to main game right now. Being able to customize defense turrets is rather huge and probably going to be developed over the coming months/years to add more content and customizability.

Just remember what clan wars looked like before they tweaked and fine tuned it. This update has a ton of potential, and is great even the way it is now.

Does it need some work? Yes. Still fun how it is.

This is a minigame off the side from the main game. 10 games per day to get the big reward? Way too much. I barely have time to make 10 raids a day on main base to get loot.

Make it 5 at most, adjust loot bonuses accordingly

I think there should be more connections to the main village but not war influencing ones as long as the 2nd base is not accepted by the players.

One good start would be cc troops for offense and defense

Another thing could be a slight reduction in build time/cost for some troops/spells or an additional slot in the base editor menu. The gem mine is nice but as soon as you are using real money to buy gems it does not matter any more.

But it is, clan wars is a mini game, added much later to the game. Perks mainly benefit clan wars is just blatantly false, every single one appart from bigger war loot is a perk that benefits the regular game, especially faster request times, which isn't a issue in wars, but certainly for farming assuming you use CC for it.

You want your cake, and to eat it too. Want to get the perks, WAR, want to get the gear ups, play the village for under a month (which in CoC time is NOTHING).

Lach, the votes for "needs improvement" are increasing heavily. Also, you may note that forum regulars are more active compared to other regular players who don't visit forums. I believe if they had a say, even they would not like the 10 attack bonus feature.

I believe if 3 is too low, 5 should be a better number, a not so drastic change.

What is required after that is a bonus attack win loot (uncapped), which is at, say 15-20% of the regular attack loot. (of the first 5).

Also, the opportunity of getting another 5 attacks with regular bonus through gems should be removed.

Lach, based on your proposed numbers we have to win 10 battles to get approximately 7% more loot as compared to if we win 3 battles now. Correct me if I'm wrong, but 3 battles at (95+95+125)k = 315k while 10 battles at (14*8+100+125)k = 337k. We get an additional 22k which amounts to just under 7% more loot. This doesnt make sense to me. I'll rather stick with the current loot cap situation. If the loot cap can be relaxed by giving players 1/10th or 1/20th after hitting the cap I'll be all for it if the current win/3-win bonuses are decreased by 10% and 5% respectively..

i sure like to see a marriage between the two villages. Maybe have a cap on loot that can be spent on the builder base but dont have a loot cap that can be earned. Id like to play versus battles but use the loot from it on my main village. Best of both worlds. Wont happen, but a man can dream.

Supercell a lots of changes are need in the game. Not only a new world, but the way to play. The game strenght is the many possibilities to atack with the troop´s variety. But the worse in the game is the way to search a battle. This random form is very limited. You could bring the possibility of a big map with a lot of players, that you can search someone to battle, or a form to search someone especific (friend or not) to battle. You can keep the random mode, but you must bring a way for we search our own battle. Another thing is creat some events in this maps to looking for a especific thing to battle and have some big bonus. Or even another form of tournament of versus mode (a really versus mode, not another kind of random versus mode). Sorry for the poor English!

Apologies if you were soliciting feedback solely for the loot cap topic-which i would agree is the most common cause of grumbling among the players i interact with and i think is an easy thing to adjust and your specific suggestion works i think. But i regard that as a "rich mans problem" because it only affects those who are 1-enjoying the builder base and its unique features and 2-engaging in a lot of player versus player battles presumably because they like that format therefore painting the update as a success regardless. If either of those things were lacking they wouldnt be spending time on their builder base or hitting the loot cap or wouldnt care so much.

My perspective is that the more important variable for the long term success of the update and the game overall is how time and energies spent in the dark village affects the existing village and at the moment thats unclear to me. Given the dark village has different troops and defenses than the existing village with a different battle system i view it as really a different game, which some are bound to like better than the current game and some less. I find those who also play clash royale like their builder base a lot and those who tried clash royale when it came out and didnt enjoy it and stopped playing are more likely to view the builder base as a chore they would prefer to just skip (although even the most negative of the grouches i know still wants his gem mine). If you look at it as a game within a game your first reaction might be that any additional option for entertainment is a good thing. But the one feature that i see as becoming a bigger focus in the ensuing days will be the "gear up" feature. Because if progress in the dark village becomes a material factor in the defensive strength of ones main village and drives success from either a raiding or a clan war perspective that will turn this into a very polarizing event. If Supercell leaves the dark village without much impact on the main those who do enjoy the new format and items will spend a lot of time there, while those who like the existing game better will probably carry on as they have in the past. That would be a win from my perspective. However if the gear up affects enough defenses and proves as material a change as adding an inferno tower or an eagle then those who like the game as it is will be forced to begrudgingly allocate time to the development of their builder base. As a Clan Leader that is where my attention is focused. Listening to my members grumble about the loot cap or the amount of draws they get or the fact there is only one builder is a minor nuisance that i know wont change their enjoyment of the game. But when i see the despondent tone of one or two of my best clan warriors who tried it out and really dont want to spend much time on the other side of the ocean but might have to in order to remain competitive- that gets my attention.

I know Supercell has had to be careful with the impact of clan perks due to clans earning XP only from clan wars, which presents a problem for those players who dont enjoy them. My feedback would be to keep the gear up or any other feature which makes playing the builder base game a "must" to a minimum so that this update will be a really fun added feature to some, and at worst a neutral to others.

Why should a cheap win of 20% for example get the same as 100%?

Of course, there needs to be a few adjustments to make the 100% a lot more difficult, these strings of draws praying the other guy is hopeless just to get anything at all is hugely frustrating :(

What would be better than all suggestions thus far. Is if my main village was allowed to PvP. Restrictions...fine, but make it happen

It's not the only problem of the update. It shouldn't be needed to play at the builder village to modify the defenses at the home village it has to be opcional, like the goblins campaign. But to really solve the current game's problems the devs need to: solve the clouds problem AND equilibrate the th10 at wars. Maybe getting the lvl5 Grand Warder, the lvl7 loons or reanimating some dead troops like the lvl6 hogs could fix the th10 problem. But there are troops in the game that are absolutely useless, like the PEKKA, that needs to be totally changed to do something like ignore the enemy troops and attack faster, because any enemy, even the skeletons from the trap, stops the pekka for too much time. Other problems are the healers, that only have 4 lvls, and the golem at the th11, that dies too quick and needs a buff, like the miner.

I really hope a moderator reads this reply.

that proposal is too much. I could get on board with 5 wins per day, or maybe 10, but not 20. I would rather keep the 3 win system, just cut from 24 hour refresh to 12.

Leave the bonus system as it is and reward a small amount of loot for any victories gained beyond that. This should be an option in the poll.

Or just make it like CR already. Implented the Chest system,and you will get few resources when ended a battle,you will received more if climbed to higher league/trophy.

You can trust me, honest. Or better, ask Lach since he's flying up the leaderboards.

You (and a lot of others, not picking on you) are misunderstanding the concept of this mini-base.
Apart from trying to grab as many gems as possible, the whole point is to bring everyone to the same point in the journey, max out quickly....then constantly compete for trophies.

That doesn't appeal to a lot of people, but a big part of that is because it doesn't make sense in your normal village.
These 2 statements sum up a lot of normal (and thoroughly understandable given the system/circumstances) clash thinking:

'Why would I push trophies? I get faster easier loot at lower trophies'.

'Sigh. I'm maxed, and still don't want to push trophies because of those clouds, I'm not devoting my life to it'.

Now turn those around for builder/night mode.

Higher trophies gives you bigger loot.

There is the ability to compete for trophies, on any given month, in pick-up-and-play 3 minute bursts, even to leaderboard level, in just the couple of months tops it takes to max out.

If you consider the new mode in those terms (and of course forget that awful money trap loot cap), it has real potential.
However, those of us that have always wanted to push trophies once maxed but couldn't stand the clouds....would just have preferred they took 6 months to implement that system to MP.

I think it's on the right track though, it can improve more, for example, increase the amount of battles per day, or decrease waiting time .. !!
I hope it can be done .. !!

Id vote yes insofar as the price to reset the the loot bonus is not increased. It's already ridiculously high and offers little reason to use it.

I personally like this option too, and is a far closer to the current main base scenario in which the 5 star bonuses are nice but not really the entire point of attacking. The league rewards are the staple. As for the upper players, some red, Titan, and up typically are maxed anyways and attack primarily for status. This will not change even if they're maxed out. The maxed players will continue to attack despite being stuffed with loot.

I like this idea a lot. Though, I'm not sure how long 10 battles would take at higher TH levels. I spend maybe 1-2 hours a day clashing these days. Not so sure I could get in 10 battles daily (more if I lose or tie) and still keep good activity on my main base. If armies still cook in 5-10 minutes at higher TH's, I think 10 would be fine. Getting a little loot for battles afterwards would be nice too. Just in case you can get more in, at least it wouldn't be for nothing :).

As with many others, I was initially appalled by this update and the loot cap. One of my favourite parts of clash is being able to farm at your own pace, chat with friends, and be able to slowly grind out your walls, defenses, heroes etc. I found the fun was taken right out of the builder base when I discovered you couldn't get more loot after a certain point. While I understand not wanting everyone to max out their builder base super quick I think a middle ground must be reached, I feel this suggestion by Lach could go a long way in making the builder base more interesting for many of the #boatless crowd out there.

Guys, You should get some ideas from Evony Online, the coords system to locate and attack a vilage plus the other things they use on their game, except by the troop-feed system, that is very bad.

2 Things Went wrong with this new release.

1. You nailed it, the current cap which limited me with what felt like 30 mins or less of play time.
2. The thing that really could use work was the story line. It made me feel like I was creating a whole new account... A feeling of starting over. 10 players in my clan quit already...

The story should have went something like...

The new land they found was 'green lava canyon' and the land was oozing and lit up with green lava trees, lava rocks, lava rivers, etc.. Everything was glowing through the night sky.

What is the beautiful mysterious glow they ask? Its a new resource (the hog exclaims)! They shout with joy!

And there they establish a new base to harvest this new resource to make new troops and enhance their existing village.

But if you ask me, the current story and lack of integration just made me feel like I've made a separate account...

Either of those would work great for me & many others. But the simpler option & more comfortable would be just adding small amount of loot to each attack I agree :)

In all seriousness I like the idea but possibly add it to where we get a small reward after every attack win after the initial bonuses are earned.

Sorry Lach, but I disagree.

Having to do just three attacks per day means that almost everyone is able to do it, even when they are very busy. Having to do ten each day would take quite a long time, hence forcing players to stay on for quite a while. Most players are only casual, and won't spend the amount of time needed to get to the tenth win. I'm really enjoying it as it is, so at the moment, I disagree. Will see what it's like as time progresses.

5 to 8 battel is good

I vote yes, this will help me gain resources.

People don't see the new village how new. They want to up very fast, because they aren't with a low cv, because they remind when they started at cv1 in the game.

I belive that sistem is nice, but more battles and recourses can be a good change.

It's not a good idea. He is saying you have to attack more than 10 times for the same reward. I'm surprised so many are happy about this. You would end up much higher cups meaning harder battles against guys that gem everything with stronger everything stomping all over you.

Lach I like what you are suggesting. I posted a long winded recommendation below. I would say if people are maxing out too quickly, then build times probably need to be adjusted in conjunction with a loot cap change.

Or just make a mode where we can play to get resources ( Only for main base ) & transfer to the main base ! Loot cap wont be a problem in this case. Some link b/w both the villages would make it more interesting. Something to keep us busy :p sea pirates raiding our bases ( If too much loot is a problem :p ) or our one and only builder kidnapped by mermaids :p :facepalm: either we have to payoff or fight to get him back.
I don't know ! waited so long for this update, i see a ton of possibilities.

100% agree with this. As it is now people can play for fun if they want. But no one has to.

YES!!! I'd definitely love this!

This keeps the idea Supercell had of logging in each day for a few great loot but still gives you the chance to continue farming if you wish, even if loot is small after that.

What I like most about this suggestion is that you NEVER reach a cap. Sure rewards are super small after 10 wins, but at least it's not completely useless to battle now, appart from trophies.

They could also keep the possibility to gem a new 10 win bonus if they want to keep the revenue, for those willing to pay it. As long as f2p players can still farm after 10 wins, even if it's very slow, I'll be happy :)

That could definitely be changed, but the main advantage imo is that there is no limit, you can still farm after 10 wins even if the rewards are really small.

And still, I like 10 wins better because it rewards activity, over just doing 3 quick battles a day.

I think you should be able to cross loot between bases. One of the biggest frustrations in our clan is from higher level players who are starting all over. Have the transfer be at a discount, possibly a 90% transfer fee so that 100 becomes only 10. I know this will make the early bh levels go fast, but let's be honest getting to th5 is not the challenge at home base and I would guess with coming updates they would release more bh levels anyways. That would keep this as a side game because 20 attacks/day at a higher level does seem like it would be a lot.

You're missing the point. He is proposing the same rewards we have now but grinding for it. You won't progress any faster. I'm sure they don't want players having to focus so much time on the new mode because the normal game takes so much time to progress.

How about this: No loot bonus. Just let us attack each other, take the resources, and the winner takes all! Or, expand it so it goes to BH10 or 20.

Here is comparison between all 3 cases:
Current: 2 * 90 + 125 = 305K
Lach: 10 * 15 + 225= 375 K with 1K for additional attacks
Mine: 10 * 20 + 225 = 425 K with 5K for additional attacks
