Are you a good neighbor?
Do you buy things from neighbors who are lower levels just because you know they need the coins? (ie: selling 1 or 2 eggs, 1 or 2 wheat, etc) I do because I am pretty sure they are trying to empty out their barn/silo.

Sometimes I do, but I'm at a pretty low level myself (37).
I buy a lot from lower level because I know they are either emptying out their barn and barely have many stalls to use and/or they need the coins for something asap. If I don't need the items that I buy I just resell them back in my shop most times at base value.
I do buy from lower levels first. I also go from lowest to highest on my friends list to help with boats and trees too to hopefully help them level up quicker.
I also help with boats starting from lower level up BUT I always help the boats who are always helping me FIRST then start from the lower levels up.
I would say yes.
I buy anything I need or want- and most always buy things that are sold for less than max (unless they are an expansion item then price is not a issue!!) I buy from my friends of all levels and help all boats if I have the items.
In return I usually sell my items for less than max. Before I clean out my barn I hit my friends- last helper- and followers lists before I sell them
Me too -- I always start with lowest level friend who needs boat help and work up the list (unless I see someone who helped me recently or helps me regularly). Those regular helpers get first look.
And despite the admonitions against "raiding" here and there in the forum, I wipe out the 5-6 slots in the LL players shops too -- I buy a LOT of max price wheat, corn and eggs that I dump in my shop for default. I think this was especially helpful when it took 30 min to refresh the ads
Me too! I was so thrilled when someone bought something from my shop.
Lower level players are also the ones who sell dairy and sugar, so I like to reward them with my custom!!!! :D If they have the minimum number of slots I know that they don't have many friends so unless they advertise they won't be getting much sold.
I also get a little thrill from watching them level up. I now have hardly any friends in the teens, and loads in the high 20s and low 30s who were in the teens when they became my friend.
I also love helping my low level followers too. Their shops are usually bloody marvellous to go shopping in though!!!!
Well, I am certainly TRYING to be a good neighbor. I have a feeling I made some mistakes during my early weeks, but think I have learned a lot from the forum. I do have a real life friend whom I've talked into playing so I do make a point to buy whatever she puts in her shop for whatever price. I'm still not affluent with coins yet, but am in a better place than I was even a week ago, so I do try to buy at least a couple of things from shops at lower levels than myself.
