Hi everybody,
Today, many games and apps have co-op modes, where one player can play with or against another player. I think that COC should add a co-op feature that can make the app even better. :)
Here's how it works:
- A co-op button will appear in the battle selection screen (where single-player campaign and multi-player battles are). Tap on it to reveal the new co-op menu.
- The purpose of the co-op feature is very similar to the single-player campaign, except instead of battling enemies one-on-one, you now have another player that can help. That being said, the co-op levels and bosses will be much more difficult and you will have to use teamwork in order to win.
- When you enter the co-op menu, there will be several options as to who you would like to play with. The first, a quick match option, will randomly select a player from your country to play with. The second allows you to invite a friend from Game Center (who also plays COC), but your friend must be online! If this feature raises interest, we could possibly suggest an option where you could play with players from your clan.
- Once you have found a partner, the game will begin shortly. While the game is loading, a random map is selected based on your level and your partner's level. This is to make sure that lower-level players are not challenged too much and higher-level players don't have an easy win. After a few seconds, the map will be generated and the game will begin!
- Both you and your partner are against one enemy, which would probably be goblins. The goal is too completely destroy the goblin's village. If you and your partner run out of troops or both of you leave the game, you will be defeated and face a small penalty.
- The reward for completing co-op battles will be platinum trophies, which will be used to determine your co-op rank. Your co-op rank is completely different from your regular multi-player league! Also, your league rank will be displayed in chat messages and your co-op rank will not. Of course, it could still be shown in your player profile.
- You and your partner will both share a coin and elixir bonus for winning, unless one of the players left the battle. In that case, the remaining player will receive all of the bonus.
- When you battle, you can't bring all of the troops that you normally would bring in a multi-player match. You can only bring half of the amount of troops that your army camps can hold. Additionally, you must select the troops you want to send for the co-op battle in the co-op menu.
- Dropping out of an excessive amount of co-op battles can result in a temporary suspension from the co-op mode (5 times = 1 hour, 10 times = 5 hours, etc.).
Please share your thoughts, ideas, and questions!
