I have a Samsung s3. The new update won't play. It downloads from play store. When I try to play it, it open it and gets around half way through and then stops.
I've cleared cache. Redownloaded from play store. Deleted it and reinstalled it. Nothing seems to work.

Android 4.4.2 here, S3, Game loads to just under the 'L' in Loading and crashes. I haven't found anything about Android OS not being supported anymore but I did find Ios 5&6 aren't supported. Is there some information somewhere to help identify what is going on? Is there a fix for this? I'm currently in a war that went live 9 hours ago and they need my attacks.....
Same issue. Galaxy S3 on my lower account and it will not load after update. Works fine on my main account which is on an S6.

I turned off the full screen mode for this app, but it is still on full screen and clan chat is super small. Is there any way to remedy this?

Yeah, I have one of these old devices that I was using to donate to myself (wasn't really playable due to laggy performance, but was fine for donation). It no longer works since the update. It never gets past the loading screen, and then it just crashes out all together. I think that the device can no longer handle the game, though I haven't seen any official statement about it.

Also on an Samsung S3. Same problem as described above. I have tried all the troubleshooting tips listed in the sticky threads. Having no luck. Noticed the system requirements still say OS 4.0.3. I have version 4.3. Hopefully Supercell did not phase out older Samsung phones without forgetting to tell us. An update would be appreciated. A patch would be even more appreciated.
I've been a long beloved Clash of Clans Player for Years. However, recently with your new update. The game seems ti no longer able to load on my Samsung S3. I sincerely request that you look into this problem. :)

Samsung S3 with the same problem as mentioned above. Current version of OS installed, tried all the troubleshooting. Seeingn that there are many people posting issues with playing the game on an S3, I think it would be better to start going by how many S3 users are actually able to play the game. Please post if you use an S3 and CAN play the game, and if you had to do anything other than download the update.

so with the new update I downloaded today I'm having some weird problem...
Everytime I start up my main account on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, it works fine for a few minutes, but eventually my game either randomly closes, or it's just stuck in the white clouding screen for ever (until I force-close the app)...
I can't even find a proper base in these few minutes I get to play... it's just so annoying.
Does/Did this happen to anyone else or am I the only one?

Just got an alert saying my village is being raided. It would have been nice if I could log into my account and collect my resources first. Supercell please fix this. Not sure how I'm able to still get alerts but the game won't load. I'm no computer guy, but I'm hoping this is something you should be able to work with and resolve relatively quickly.
Same problem on my S3. I don't think it's our phones being old. Because the update was completed, just wont fully load. It normally says device is not compatible.

I get to the point where it says agree to terms of service. Push Ok, then nothing happens.
1) Make sure you are not on one if the older Android operating systems that went out of support.
If its an older OS your problem is with your device manufacturer not SuperCell.
otherwise....
2) Try going to the Play Store and updating manually. Watch for error messages as you do this.
3) Try making sure your base is completely bavked up to your Google account. Then completely drlete it from your device. Then download and re-install from scratch. If that works log it to your account to get your base back.
It lags long time on my Samsung Prime. It eventually gets in but slow.

I have 2 accounts linked to my S3, I'm getting the same issue as everyone else. Update installed fine, but now the game won't fully load.
It gets about half way and it crashed back to the home screen.
Would love to see this fixed, these accounts are the only ones I buy gems on anymore, for what it's worth..

After doing today's (5/22/2017) update, Clash of Clans no longer works on my Samsung Galaxy S3. I have tried reinstalling the game, and nothing works. The game will load to about 40%, and then crashes. I have been playing the game for 3 years, and I am very disappointed that this has happened. Fortunately, my progress is google saved. I now have to play using bluestacks on my computer, which is very annoying. Has anyone else had this probelm? Does anyone know how to fix this? I would really appreciate some help.
On May 21, 2017, at 10am EST, Supercell tweeted a reminder on their official Clash of Clans Twitter that Clash of Clans is no longer able to run on IOS versions lower than 7.x. This in reference to a post on their blog which was made back in January 2017. Source
However, there have not been any released statements either on Supercell's official Clash of Clans blog or Twitter about the game no longer being able to support some Android devices (see for yourself: official Clash of Clans Twitter and official Clash of Clans blog). So it should be assumed that all Android users will be ready to go when they update the game (as long as they have the storage space required to update the game).
But in spite of no news of more versions or devices not being able to run Clash of Clans, there are an alarming number of Samsung Galaxy S3 and Grand Prime users that are complaining about not having access to their account in the Bugs & Problems sub-section of the forums (however, the vast majority of sufferers of this come from Samsung Galaxy S3 users). There has currently been no word from Supercell whether Android users can no longer play the game on their Samsung Galaxy S3 devices.
For the Samsung Galaxy S3 users and with others that read this and want to complain about not being able to play the game please place your comments in the one and only game not loading thread located in the Bugs & Problems sub-forum. This thread is simply to bring awareness to the admins, discuss whether these old devices will not be allowed to play the game anymore and non-conventional fixes to this problem.
Most of those affected describe their experience as such: Able to update the game successfully but when they run the game, it loads the game nearly to the half way mark (right where the 'L' is in the word 'Loading').
Sufferers of this inconvenience often claim that uninstalling, clearing cache, rebooting, and factory resetting does not fix the problem.
The Clash community would appreciate answers from a mod that is in the know or someone over at Supercell whether they know about this issue and if it will be fixed and when. The when aspect is important. If this is just a bug and not the end of clashing for Galaxy S3 and Grand Prime users, a fix sooner rather than later would be appreciated by the entire community as this inconvenience can/are affecting many clans in regrades to war. Clans as we speak could be losing wars due to the loss of an Galaxy S3 or Grand Prime player.
I will end this post with two questions for the community, while we wait for an official reply, that may help us determine fixes/whether there is even fix.
1. Are any Samsung Galaxy S3 players able to play the game with the new update? If yes, what version is your S3? Did you have any initial problems at first? How were they resolved?
2. Were people with IOS devices that were below version 7 able to update the game or did it not allow you to update it? Can you describe what you see when you try to install or update the game?
Depending on the answer to question two, it may help us determine whether the S3 has the same fate as IOS versions lower than 7.x. As Android Galaxy S3 users have noted in the bug threads that they were able to update the game but the game would not load. If people with IOS versions lower than version 7 had a similar experience if they were to try and play the game, it would be safe to say that S3 users are permanently no longer able to play the game.
If the worst case scenario comes true and users of Samsung Galaxy S3 are no longer able to play this game, this would hurt many people and clans. A warning in advance would have been needed so people affected by this can opt out of war, complete their war attacks if they are in war, do anything they want to do on their account before they are locked out of their accounts until they get a new phone.

Galaxy S3. Had the 50% loading screen crash so I uninstalled/reinstalled with no change.
Uninstalled again and logged out of Google Play Store.
Logged into Google Play, searched CoC and now the download screen says:
! Your device isn't compatible with this version
I'm TH9 & I like this game, but not enough to buy a new(er) device.
I'll be adding to the "Broken Record." I also play on a Galaxy S3, and my game doesnt work. it gets to the loading screen, the bar fills to 100% (lucky me, its not 30%), but the game still wont load. not sure why. Same as everyone else, ive cleared cache, uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted device and still no results. Supercell, you have a TON of players here that have been dedicated and playing for several years. It'd be a shame to lose that many users/customers.
Just chatted with google play. They can't do anything. The problem is on sc's side.

I have an LG phone but the same problem, sometimes it loads the game and I'm able to play it, but shortly after it crashes... most of the time it just crashes during loading.

Yep. Same here. S3 user. The game only partially loads and then closes. Annoying. Tried the following:
1) Deleting the cashe and restarting the phone
2) Uninstalling and reinstalling the game
None of the above worked.
Any suggestions SuperCell?

Nice of a mod to make this the one and only thread yet can't take the time to comment on the problem at hand. Starting to get a little sick of this "leave them in the dark" technique. I've invested a lot of time and money and to treated like this is insulting and very unprofessional. I don't even know the results of my war thanks to this bugdate.
At least tell me they are working on it or have no plans to fix the issue.

Another Samsung S3 user here with the same problem as everyone else has stated. Game stop during load about the spot under the L in loading. Tried all the same uninstall, download again and not working. Please give us loyal players some kind of response.
Everyone with a s3 should get some compensation for not being able to sign in at the same time as everyone else.. puts us at a disadvantage and also might have cost us wars.. i have 3 accounts in a current war.. come on supercell give us an explanation or a time frame at the very least.
