No challenges please.
Can someone please tell me what that means?
I've recently been going through the "Add me" thread and noticed several people have added "No challenges please" in their posts. I have no idea what they are talking about. I've avoided adding these people cause I don't know if this is referring to asking for help with boats and trees or what.

If you add through Game Center, many players play other games and sometimes will send challenges to players to "beat their score" in whatever game. The problem is that many have found that some of the games seem to automatically send out challenges to other players without your permission. The challenges show up in Game Center; they sit there until you either accept or decline them inside GC.
Hope this helps.

Ah, thanks. That's helps a lot. I use Game Center but I don't play many games so I've not run into this before. Do you know if there is a way to turn this feature off?

There is but it will turn off ALL notifications to Game Center including incoming friend requests. You'll have to go into the settings menu (on iPad-- Settings icon-->Notifications--> Game Center. Set Notification Center to Off and Alert style to None. Turn off "view in Lock screen" too. That last one drove me nuts for a while when I kept getting friend requests and it would light up my iPad when I was trying to sleep lol.

Thanks again. I may do that. My ID is very funky, has emoji in it. So nobody ever adds me. I have to add them. So not seeing friend requests won't be a problem.
Thanks for all your help.
Just noticed you're from NC too. Hi neighbor. I'm also in NC (Triangle).

Yeah- it's a little hard to add people who have odd /funky user names.
Oh hi there neighbor! I'm south of you- near Charlotte.
