Exactly! If its for sale anyone can buy it. How do you know they don't need them?? Why else would they buy?
i often buy things i dont need, to trade for items I DO need... Which is a win- win situation too!

Sometimes I buy things I don't need, just to open up space in that persons store, in hopes they might see the open slot, and put more items up for sale, and maybe I will get lucky and have it be what I DO need ;) or..to help in my stocking needs for the TT award. Everyone has their reasons, and it isn't for anyone else to judge. Happy farming, all ;)
If I came to your shop (we are not friends so it is doubtful I would find you unless you advertised) and bought LEM, I would not be there as a "robber" -- I would be there as a BUYER of YOUR goods that YOU listed for sale in YOUR shop.
What do I do with them? I hold them for friends who need to expand and trade them to them for 1 coin (under level 30) or default (over 30).
As has been pointed out already, everyone can play the game as they wish and everyone has different strategies. Buying LEM I see in shops (not in last stalls though) and then funnelling to my friends is one of mine.
Your strategy of putting things in your shop only for your friends to buy is obviously not working. If it was, you would not have a "robber" problem.
I would make a friendly suggestion to you that to avoid people buying things in your shop that you place there for people to buy, you might hold your LEM and trade them to the people you want by arranging a convenient time to trade, placing 1 wheat in the last stall, and proceeding from there as described on the trading thread . . .
And another friendly comment that life is too short to be so angry about people buying your items that you you list in your stall. I would consider carefully travelling to buyer's fishing areas to check up on their "needs" (as you determine them to be) after they bought something from you. This might not be a positive strategy for you to employ, as it might feed negativity -- and who needs more negativity?? :)
If you do it, you're greedy. You're buying things for people to sell to them on the sly, while our own friends who need them miss out. Your nieces/nephews/husbands can find their own ♥♥♥♥. I did.
No wonder people are touchy. Greedy sneaks.
I am fully expanded but I frequently help my lower level neighbors with LEMs and, providing I have barn room, will buy them at full price when I see them in shops to supplement what I harvest to give to these neighbors at default price. I have already helped several to fully expand. That is NOT being greedy but, rather the opposite, so please don't assume that you know what motivates anyone to buy.
I don't understand what the big deal is who buys your stuff? It's a freakin game! It's all for fun. I love when people buy my stuff it lets me put more up! I don't care what you do with it once its gone! I have a god daughter and I buy up everything I can find to help her! I also will never stop expanding my barn. Silo is done. So guys I will always have silo stuff. I also buy things to help your boats. Please know that we all don't have alterior motives! Gc annmarie1932 add me if you want a good neighbor.
Ps. I never buy trades! If I do by accident then I'm sorry
