Hi JPAW, Has anyone else asked this? Should we be lucky enough to catch the elusive pearl oyster in our mystery net, wouldn't it be better to display it in the fishing area rather than back on the farm. I'm rather hoping we will have the opportunity to personalise the fishing area soon, although by personalise I don't mean chop down every tree in sight.
I guess the mystery net should have been tested first!

Like the video pretty obviously says, Good News Everyone! :D We had a short maintenance break and were able to fix the mystery net issue! We also did some other updates to the servers which are not visible to players. :) Let us know how the mystery net is now working for you!

According to mr scarecrow the issues with the mystery net is now solved after a short update (10 minutes).
5x diamonds was the gift to try it out.

Strange that, because I just reeled mine in after the update (cast on Sunday) and the first one gave me 3 fish, 1 duct tape, 1 shovel, and 1 bracelet...!!! Most definitely an improvement. Can you use the free nets like two fishes & other items too? Just wondering..
The regular nets (red bob) catch 3 fish only, which are exclusively the same ones we get with the free-to-produce red lure...the copper redhorse and hutchen. They do NOT contribute to either the diary nor the fishing achievements.Quote:

I was on my way to buy my "free" mystery net. Just needed to make one short stop at the pie oven to see how pumpkin pies were doing for a boat order. Adding another pie and bam, accidentally touched the speed up button, diamonds gone. I do appreciate Supercell's gesture with the free diamonds, but with my big fingers and my little ipod, it's just too easy to waste diamonds. I bet I've accidentally spent more diamonds than I intentionally spent.
So, apparantly they fixed(?) the mystery net according to the update today. People please share your experience with the "new" mystery nets so we can see if they are worth it.
Thought I'd give it one more try since update....Much better result this time around....2 fish, 1 plank, 1 stick of dynamite, 1 silver ore and 1 diamond....Still don't really think its worth 5 diamonds and a lengthy wait, but pleased that SC has improved the outcome
One of my neighbor caught not one, not two, but three pearls. This give me hope.

Um, I thought the mystery net thing was fixed. I got three fish and a saw in mystery net 1 and two fish and a pumpkin in net two. No more mystery nets for me!! Waste of diamonds!

Well I haven't made another mystery net since the update, but it's mostly because I think the whole net thing is a bit ridiculous. And now since they updated to fix the mystery net issue, I'm only averaging two fish for the other nets! After 20 hours of waiting! I find the whole new lobster thing to be not exciting at all. I was so hoping for an update that would keep me engaged in the game and I was excited that we got a new machine, new products, and the lobsters. But if I have to wait 20 hours for two fish, when I could have fished up to 6 times in the same area, what's the point? How is anyone supposed to stay interested in the game if all you're doing is sitting around waiting? Waiting 20 hours on a net that now yields only two fish and waiting about the same amount of time for one piece of lobster. I had started collecting land expansion items because I thought maybe we might be given the area across the river or across the road or somewhere else to expand and this way i would have some to use before everyone started collecting them.
I'm bored now. Two consecutive river boat events have not yielded any gold vouchers. I think the gold ones are pulled for the duration of the event. I always hire Tom when the river boat event is going on so I fill every boat myself and within minutes of its arrival. But twice now, not one stupid gold voucher. Totally random? I don't think so.
I started out playing this game and quickly became addicted to it. But honestly now, at level 60, it's boring and there's nothing else to do. Nothing to hold my interest. I think I may sell off everything I have and take an extra long vacation from Hay Day.
See what I get for being patient and waiting 20 hours?
