Eggs

Dear Egg Sellers,

I don't think there are enough eggs in the newspaper. Maybe you could put more up?

All kidding aside, why are there so many eggs on the market? It's as if people don't see the 100s of ads up already. Is it just new players that aren't aware?

That is because they do not sell. Or very slow. You can have five or ten active adverts with eggs which lead people to your store - and there you sell the real stuff.

Have you ever noticed that many egg advertisers hide their eggs in the outer right hand corner? This is to carry the ads but not to annoy friends who pass by your store.


Edit: i place 10 or 20 eggs in the visible area too because I want to avoid the ad being bought away too quickly :)

E&B sell so much faster than raw eggs at full price :cool:

Another reason there are so many eggs, is that chickens are ready to lay so often. I can't stand it to see them sit there all miserable, so I collect eggs often. This gives me way more eggs than I need, and they can take up alot of room in my barn.I sell eggs for really cheap, just so I can get rid of them. Ahh, the trials of farming!

IMO feel its a pricing issue, darn near everyone max prices eggs and due to the fact most people have more than one coop they end up needing to purge the overage. Personally I am on level 41 and only have one because I know I can always buy eggs.

My pricing strategy is max the had to obtain items and competitively price eggs and crops (hay, soy, carrots) I never really have a problem clearing out my stand on one ad.

I'll get right on that! I'll be sure to advertise eggs every 15 minutes! Lol.

Yeah the bazillion egg ads are redundant I agree. But I will say that I use an egg ad as kind of a ploy. Say I've got some good stuff to sell, instead of advertising my bolts or chocolate cake, I advertise eggs. That way when people do come looking for eggs, they find a little surprise, lol.

I buy eggs! Because there are so many eggs available in the newspaper, it means I don't have to clog up my feed mills making chicken feed, and can instead concentrate on making goat and cow feed, which take longer and help towards the feed mill mastery stars.
i also make the occasional pig and sheep feed, but there are always loads of ads for bacon and wool if I need those items.

Long live the egg adverts! ;)
