Can we get another dairy and sugar mill. PLEASE?

I have been playing this game for awhile now and I really enjoy it. I don't complain much about it bc unlike other companie's games (which I shall not name) this game can be played without begging your FB friends for items. I sincerely appreciate that about Hay Day. It's the reason I have stayed with it for so long.

However, I just wish we could buy another dairy and another sugar mill! It would make life on the farm so much less complicated! I don't want double of everything. I just want two of the buildings that supply so many items for the other products.


Anyone else with me on this? I have heard the devs actually listen to us once in awhile and implemented our requests so...... here's hoping they like this one!!!

yes please! a second dairy and sugar mill would be awesome.

You don't know how many times I have wished for the same thing.

While I'm at it, I would really like to have 3 dairies - one for cheese - one for cream - one for butter.

Also, 3 sugar mills would be nice - one for oil - one for brown sugar - one for white sugar.

Can I suggest (gently and nicely) that you try digging out some of the dozens of previous threads on this subject. It will help you to understand why it would probably ruin the game. It's basically all about supply and demand and the fact that this game is very finely balanced, which is what makes it work so well.

Even though I whole heartedly agree that we could use another diary and sugar mill, I can sort of see why we don't. If we had multiple machines and could make the products with ease, it would take some of the challenge out of the game.

I believe the developers thought very long and hard on how to make the game the right amount of challenging and not too challenging all at the same time so we don't get bored and leave the game.

Obviously they have done a brilliant job of this because we are all still here playing! LOL

Quoted for truth. Balance IS the element that you (ubiquitous) really don't see, along with quality control, that makes Hay Day the masterpiece that it is. Some part of it has be a little wee bit difficult or the dopamine release we get from overcoming obstacles won't occur. I think they could still tweak some of the numbers required for sugar and dairy on boat orders, but whatever.

But if disrupting balance is your thing, lets go all the way. Give us Microwave Ovens :D

I will look up the other threads on the subject. I didn't think about how it would disrupt balance. But.... we do have the opportunity to have multiple animal pens and that doesn't seem to upset the balance. Imagine the game with only one cow pen or chicken coop.

I do agree that this game is a good balance of difficulty and attainability- meaning nothing seems impossible to get or reach; nothing is sooo ahrd that you feel frustrated and want to give up.....except maybe that tractor that's a million bucks! LOL!!

But what about pumpkins. Unless I missed something, they are only used for pie. That makes them kinda lopsided. They could go away and not upset the balance one bit. And there are more chickens than cows. And you use milk for so many more things than bacon and there are the same number of pigs as cows. Sheep are like pumpkins. You get he same number sheep as cows but they only interact with one machine. Don't get me started about that blue plant. At least sweaters show up frequently for the boats.

oh well I guess I can't apply logic to a game where my chickens used to go snorkeling. And then look dead when they are only hungry. How about some pumpkin soup! Or pumpkin bread. Dang it now I'm hungry

I am always wondering if I should not collect the eggs and let the chicks suffer from pain or should I not feed the chicks and let them die starving? Can't do either at the end and am hoping for more egg recipes like spanish tortilla or so.

Pumpkins in shepherd's pie. Well that's just wrong. There is no pumpkin in shepherds pie. I just made it last week using Gordon Ramsey's own mother's recipe and there was nothing resembling pumpkin in that. And we all know if Gordon doesn't do it it is just not done. (Seriously is there a sarcasm font?). I'm glad I don't cook the way the developers do. Chocolate chip cookies and Swiss cheese ( or is it cheddar with holes) in cheese cake. I don't think so. And a hamburger made from the product of a pig alone. Not a bacon cheeseburger, just a bacon sandwich. And I still want to know how my loom got that red yarn on it but blue sweaters come out. Everybody knows that red and blue make purple.

A comment on imagining one chicken coop. My 6 chickens have so far been sufficient for my farming needs. My level is 39. My next boat needs eggs, so I've bought some iextra eggs in case more are needed than I've gathered.They werent hard to find to buy :)
They produce eggs so frequently that the six chickens work well so far. My extra eggs are put on sale in the shop.

Maybe at higher levels more chickens are useful. Since the quantity of eggs on sale is huge, it seems like the multiple pens we see might be fully necessary.

It is neat that we can each have different playing strategies in this game.

For me it's not the quantity of eggs used in products and not the level for what are the eggs (many eggs, and so many chickens!) so usefull. It is a great help if you are stockpiling. Because the chickens are quick in producing them they can easily be used to fill up your barn at any moment when necessary, which is often. I always try to hold the amount of eggs somewhere on the top of my barn so when I need space there is always Greg or one of his friends within a short time to give me that. Also use bread, wool and bacon that way, but eggs the most. I shouldn't know what to do with only 1 chickencoop!

And yes, we have as many cows as pigs and sheep, but the cows are producing much more quicker then pigs, and pig more quicker then sheep; the balance of the whole seems good to me.

About more dairy and sugarmachines I agree that it could spoil the fun. But now we heave a new machine which uses goat cheese (takes pretty much time to make) for the soupe; maybe now it is getting to hard to keep up with all, we 'll see.
(Less time for producing butter, cheese and goatcheese could be a solution too if so, I thought).

i know you dont want to hear anything negative. but hay day does knock off the time it takes for items to get done as you level up. to me that kinda makes up for your inquiries. honestly, these games are going to make money and thats business. out of every game i have played, there is always a forum and always the players wanting to even out the game in their eyes. i like to play these games too, i find things that seem unfair or troubling, but its a game. your not going to win. lol

why have so many smelters?? There's no need for 5 ! I manage quite well with 2.

SC would make people very happy if they supplied what the majority of people need to have a continually played farm!

This thread sure is old but I agree with Woozle. SC is a business. What you as a player want and what they as a business want won't always be the same. Hay Day is a challenge in resource management. It can be tough at times but then you find a new way to strategize and see if that works a hair easier. Then sometimes you find it does and suddenly you have mastered the management of having enough goods on hand for boats, trucks and the townies. :)

And I agree with you. Since the town came and the demands on us have changed I have had to change the way I play. My cake oven looks busy but only because I am stacking cakes outside it. As long as I keep a set number of cakes in my barn, it doesn't seem to bother me to let the oven operate at less than full all the time. I have reconciled myself to letting the coffee machine idle a long time ago by necessity, but now that I don't make cakes non stop, I can make more coffee. My dairy supply is satisfactory to me. Much more than before. What I can't keep is eggs and fish and everyone knows I just hate to fish.

And without five smelters I never would have made the helter smelter achievement on my old farm this week. I'd have all of them, if it wasn't for the town and my kid deciding to swipe my maps all the time. Lol.

I think SC has it just right. And contrary to what some of you think. Not EVERYONE wants a second dairy or sugar mill. I'd need five more cows if we had another. No thanks.

Edit: oh and those of you with less than 18 chickens...... You will want 24 of them by time you get to my level and even before, unless you don't expand your production slots. By time I fill up my six pie slots and my six cake slot I don't have enough to make mayo, lemon curd, or egg sushi or egg sandwiches etc.

Now that we have the Town, it is so hard for me to cope with producing dairy and sugar. I would love to have 2 of those machines as it will help ease the production of foods needing those basic ingredients.

Agree with both of you. It is difficult but I find I am getting used to playing a bit differently. I am still managing with 12 hens...but they work hard🐓🐓🐓 I may have to get more yet. I find the milk more of a challenge now and despite having 15 cows I am buying milk when I see it.

With regards to upsetting the balance of the game, I get it - balance is necessary and should be challenging. But there is a difference between challenge and constant frustration. I'm the last person in the world who'd want this game to be easy. I had the opportunity to trade for maps yesterday but didn't participate because I love the challenge of waiting for them from the visitors or finding them in shops. I don't trade on the trading threads on purpose because again, I love the challenge of the imbalance of the expansion materials. I'm not looking for too easy, or heck even easy at all, but I still lobby regularly for another dairy. I could live without the second sugar mill, but even if I had two dairies I'd be challenged to keep up with dairy production, and I know I'm not alone. This morning I finally came to the realization that I'm going to have to quit something, either serving townfolk raw dairy items (which is not going to happen), or quit selling anything made with dairy items in my RSS which I've managed up until now to still keep stocked with premium goods, so many of which want dairy. I have 3 creams in my barn at the moment, I'm low on ice cream (thanks to the town folk) and my dairy never stops working AND I'm using Tom for cheese and goat cheese the last couple of days. I can't keep up. I'm crying uncle. So...in order to keep the "balance" of the game, I'm giving up not only boats and truck orders which require dairy goods but also selling in my RSS those items which call for it. I'll probably get unfriended by some, which would be understandable. I just can't keep up. I'm not whining, I'm not even complaining, I'm just stating the fact that even though I produce dairy items all day long, the new town has COMPLETELY changed how I play this game.

Remember when boats used to require double the same items? That was a huge problem, they fixed it, and it didn't upset any balance. I don't see adding a second dairy as being any different. It would ease a particular struggle somewhat, not entirely. It wouldn't suddenly make farming too easy, it would just make it a bit less frustrating in that particular area. I'm not sure if SC was aware of just how much the new town would change the fabric of the game, or if it's even important to them, but I like to think they do care about the different perspectives offered by their family of players. I've been a staunch holdout with respect to selling in my RSS and tried to keep up with it, even though the town folk require so many premium goods. I don't have an enormous barn of 4000 or 5000 units of storage, and even if I did there's no way I'd ever get enough dairy items stocked up to make a big difference. Maybe before the town, but not now. I suspect those that do probably don't sell that much premium stuff in their stores. THAT'S the "balance." And it's not a great one. So I'm going to have to join the ranks of those with empty bins day after day, or just a goodie or two here and there, or lots of produce and not much else.

Again, this is NOT complaining, but facts are facts, and I will continue to lobby for a second dairy knowing that it wouldn't ruin the fun challenge that is this game. It would merely be the extra button one lets out for a little breathing room when one eats too much at the dinner table.

While definitely NOT a solution for everyone, I'm using my "mini" farm as a second dairy. AND, it's STILL hard to keep up with production. Having said that, I'm not actually sure I'd want a second one for my main farm. It's kind of big and clunky, but I guess it would be nice to have for people who want a second one. Though, I might buy a second one for my "mini" farm if it were available...don't really care what that one looks like, lol.

Getting the dairy from the mini farm allows me to have excess brown sugar at times, but I haven't really had excess dairy or white sugar, even running both dairies with all slots expanded.

So, I don't know what my post accomplished...just musing I guess. :D:o:rolleyes:

I don't have a mini farm and probably never will, and I've got a spot cleared out on my newest land (from two updates ago) all ready for my second dairy because hope springs eternal! I never did decorate that area fully except for my fancy outhouse, so perhaps I've subconsciously left it for the ever-hoped-for dairy. :D

this is exactly how I feel Shealie. I started a thread in the ideas section explaining this exact situation. I could do without a second sugar mill, but having one dairy is really starting to get beyond frustrating, not because I want the game to be easy, but because I don't want to pick and choose what aspects of the game to enjoy. I love doing all of it, the trucks, the boats, selling etc, and with the enormous amount of products requiring dairy plus the new townies, it is seriously a struggle to keep up, and lately I've had to choose. That's one of the reasons I love hayday, because I didn't have to choose, I could partake in very aspect of the game, but not anymore, and I think it defeats the purpose of the game to only focus on 1 or 2 things.

I have a 3 star dairy and I'm not exaggerating when I say its running 24/7. I play this game everyday all day, I managed to get to level 70 with no trading, although I just recently begun and love it because of the rush lol, and very few friends that I could add through the game as I wasn't using my GC at the time. If I needed help with my boat, I put an item up for sale with and ad, if I needed EMs, I went hunting in the DD for hours. I say all of this to say that I'm sure the majority or all of us farmers are really starting to feel the pinch, especially the more you level up, but the strain is especially harder on us hayday addicts who just truly love playing this game and want to play more if it, but really can't because of constraints. And when I've had enough, I just step back and then SC starts sending me messages on my ipad saying that my farm animals are missing me. You think I like neglecting my animals SC:(? I just can't sometimes and have to pull back when cheese takes 51 mins to produce, yet just pizzas alone which the townies are constantly asking for takes 15 minutes. So I take 9 hours to make 9 cheese that poofs in 45 minutes....never mind the baked potato, the casserole and cheesecake, not to mention the other products that require goat cheese, butter, and cream....it's just getting to be too much. The newest maintenance thread in the announcement sections asks for our top 3 suggestions, and i listed a second dairy as number 1. I really hope supercell can listen to this request and implement it.

For me I have never run my coffee shop or soup kitchen much, and I have recently been producing cakes only as needed. I have more machines to gain in the future to largely ignore. I am to the point of refusing most boats with product requiring dairy (stop taking dairy boats a long time ago). I am much more restrictive in helping people with products requiring dairy. No consideration to sell products in rsss that require dairy. This is way beyond balance and challenge, but changing the fabric of the game. Yes can be argued I just play differently now, but is becoming a such a town only focus game, unless I give up the challenge of the need to maximizing the town (with the associated need to upgrade things).

My suggestion is to boost the production of the existing dairy. Specifically by building and upgrading a new building in the town. Or there are many other ways. However, I can be easily convinced that doubling dairy production is too large a change. That would be the results of a second dairy.

I wouldn't have had a mini if I hadn't found an old iPhone which I'd kept after upgrading to a newer model....I'd forgotten about it completely until I found it buried under some other stuff a few weeks ago. It was perfect to start a new game with, lol.

Ella, you and I sound pretty identical in our approaches to farming. I, too, would love to still do boats and trucks, but the town makes that pretty much a no-go for me. I realize a lot of people out there have two devices which helps, and for them, there's no need for a second dairy, but for us one-device peeps, there is. Oh, and I didn't even mention in my post above that I now can't even help the boats that I would have in the past. Feta pie, feta potato cakes, ALL of those were in good supply, but not now, so those boats go unhelped. I see myself heading from a neighborly, very helpful player to a solitary one by virtue of the fact that there's just not enough of this particular resource to go around. The argument can be made to "just trade for products," but that goes against my very nature. I don't WANT to have to trade, I want to have enough so I can give of myself freely and not have to always count what's left. For now, my shop looks pitiful. Popcorn, muffins and cornbread anyone? :(

While definitely NOT a solution for everyone, I'm using my "mini" farm as a second dairy. AND, it's STILL hard to keep up with production. Having said that, I'm not actually sure I'd want a second one for my main farm. It's kind of big and clunky, but I guess it would be nice to have for people who want a second one. Though, I might buy a second one for my "mini" farm if it were available...don't really care what that one looks like, lol.

Getting the dairy from the mini farm allows me to have excess brown sugar at times, but I haven't really had excess dairy or white sugar, even running both dairies with all slots expanded.

So, I don't know what my post accomplished...just musing I guess. :D:o:rolleyes:

OK, I went digging through an old drawer and guess what I found?? My old iPhone!! HAHAHA!!! I'm on Level 3 and just don't EVER remember being that much of a newbie! Can't get a dairy until level 7. Just what I need, another excuse to spend MORE TIME on the farm. LOLOL!!!!!!! My little tiny house...my little bakery and single feed mill...my 9 little plots of land...it's so CUTE!!

I know a second device is just a bandaid to the dairy problem and not a fix because a fix would apply to everybody and not just those lucky enough to have a second device, but in the meantime and until SC does something about it...

I'm embarrassed to say that I have every old cell phone (back when they looked like walkie-talkies, lol) I've ever had. Technology is so fast and I keep mine so long that no one wanted them...but forgot about that stupid iPhone! Glad you found yours, lol.

You DID create new GC and Apple ID, yes? I was afraid my games would get mixed up if I connected with either of the existing accounts, so did a factory reset and created a completely new GD and Apple ID.

This is a winning suggestion! I get irritated with the cheese shortages at times, but I don't want another dairy on my farm: too big, too unnatural. Allowing multiples of cheese from one time slot would be a perfect solution!

Well, no, I logged into my GC account, downloaded the HD app from scratch, and started that way. It recognizes me as Shealie54 but started a whole new farm after first saying it recognized my other farm (and asking if I wanted to keep this one), and I was still playing on my old farm on the new phone. I'm not so far into it (only level 6, still waiting for THE DAIRY to be finished) that it would hurt to start over again. Maybe some of the others on here who have two devices can weigh in. It's a brand new farm, my old level 74 farm is working fine (along with the town), so it seems that I just have two separate farms on one account. And I have all of the HD friends and neighbors showing up too, which I want. My farm name is "Shealie54's backup." I need 220 xp to level up again. Tee hee!! (I'm at 110 and waiting for enough soy to grow so I can feed the cows.) OMG, I had no idea starting the baby farm all over again could be so much fun. MUST get something else done today. :D

Let me tell you what I have been doing lately and it is only a stopgap measure, I'll agree. It kinda happened by accident since I am trying to get other things done instead of all hay day all the time. Anyway, every couple hours, I'll open the game, and just work my cows, pets, chickens feed mills and dairy (sometimes sugar) plus I am stacking outside the machine so when I think about doing something else, it looks like I don't have the sugar or dairy to make those cakes etc. I found I was having to sell things I really didn't want to sell to make space in the barn and cakes were highest in my barn.

Anyway this is helping with my supply levels for the town. It is hard to stop running those machines. While I don't really think we need a second dairy, you won't find me passing on it if they introduce one.

And I know what you are gonna say. "Well she has two farms." But both my farms are working farms. Not minis or feeders. As a matter of fact I end up having to prop up my old farm more than the other way around. I play it less because it is so slow and lagging. Katie usually has it for her word games. My stomach dropped when I read this. I am not experienced enough to tell you what to do to guarantee your original farm is still linked to your GC, but I know that you cannot play two separate games on one GC account.

I play a second farm on an old ipad, but I set the ipad back to factory settings and started a new GC account with its own email address. In no way is it linked to my main farm and its GC ID.

That would definitely put a crimp in my day. LOL!! Not to worry (I think), I reset all of the network settings in the old phone, opened a new GC account and Apple ID, and it even let me keep the farm that I had started with my new nickname. My RSS now says my new farm's name, I now only have one friend other than Greg in my friend's list (thanks Jess1al !!), and I just friended myself which went through fine, though I still don't see either farm on the other device (new on old, old on new). Got any clues as to what I'm doing wrong? Jess1al showed up immediately.

And do you show me back up at 74 where I belong?

Yayy!! At least one of us will be less frustrated :). It must be exciting all over again at such an early level. I don't think I would have the patience for it though lol. I don't have another device so here's to hoping HD helps us farmers out with the dairy issue. For now, I will just have to continue being selective with what I produce and how I manage my dairy/dairy products. And brilliant idea on the multiples, cuz I for sure don't have the physical space for a second building, but would of course make space in the event that our wish was granted lol;).

Ella, it's hilarious having the new farm! 18 tiny little plots of land, 5 little cows and pigs, 6 little chickens...oh my goodness, I have NO recollection of being so new with my first farm! I'm hovering over it the same as I did the town when it was brand spanking new, just like a litter of cute little puppies. I can say that it has eased my personal frustration somewhat with cream, butter and brown sugar, but I'm still lobbying for either a second dairy, or preferably harvesting multiples of dairy products, because that is what would be the fairest to ALL players and not just those fortunate enough to have old secondary devices laying around. (My old phone is OLD and the graphics are so inferior to the ones on the current phone, but that's OK. It's getting the job done for the time being.)

The dairy issue is a big one and needs to be addressed. :)

Personally, I think an extra dairy and sugar mill would be a bad idea. I design games, and taking the challenge out of a game usually has the opposite of the intended effect (less fun).

I find the lack of dairy in the game one of the most challenging aspects of it. I'm pretty sure I'd enjoy the game less with a second dairy and sugar mill. Of course, if they were there, I'd obviously buy them and use both 24/7 instantly.

At most, the 'speeding up' idea sounds good. That way you don't have duplicate production buildings, and people can get that little bit of extra cream or whatever to keep the new buildings running.

I almost never use my coffee kiosk, soup kitchen, or anything else which uselessly wastes sugar and dairy. I also tend to ignore almost all jam, sugar, and dairy boats except to help friends. That said, I know the majority of players do boats and would disagree with my strategy. It's just what I do to overcome the challenge of a lack of dairy right now.

Would happily pay a million quid for a new dairy mill!

Just one extra slot on the dairy machine and sugar mill would make my day-- would even make my year haha :p

I plan on leaving many of the trees this time, not because I regret cutting them down on the big farm but because I won't be decorating this one like I did the big one (ponds, benches, that sort of thing). So my baby farm will have a much more "natural" look to it. And I'll have more saws, axes, dynamite and TNT for the big one, too. :)

I see your logic but I have to ask - are you at the level where you can and did open your town? Because the town is what put the dairy/sugar mill issue into maximum overdrive (GREAT movie, by the way). Those who felt as you do about the coffee kiosk, soup kitchen and the other machines before the town are now using those machines 24/7 because the town folk request those items constantly. I never kept many coffee drinks, pizzas and candies on hand back then but I have to now if I want to play with the town. So yes, before the town, the dairy/sugar issues were challenging but in a fun way. Now it's just pure frustration, which is the bad kind of challenge, the kind that borders on discouragement. And with discouragement comes disillusionment about how fun a game is when you're treading water as fast as you can but still on the verge of drowning. (Sorry for the drama, it just happened somehow. :) ) And I agree with a second dairy maybe not being the answer, but multiple harvests would certainly ease the pressure. I'm not saying to suddenly have a way that nobody ever worries about dairy products ever, just ease the pressure a little. I think that's all that anybody is asking. Well, speaking for myself at least who stopped selling in the RSS because I couldn't keep up.

Ur post made me laugh, because it's so true, at one point, it was funny a little, now not so much. I've gotta think that somewhere in their design plan HD was planning to add multiple quantities of machines, or at least kept that option open ended because, when you purchase a machine, the ratio shown is 1/1, and of course if you don't have that machine, it's 0/1. Why not just grey out purchased machines, and highlight available ones with no ratios if we were just intended to have one of each? Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part, but seems like it is a possibility that they would up the quantity, hence 1/3, 2/3 for the future etc... Just like the pets and animals.


I also think that a major component in this issue and others that farmers bring up, stems from the fact that HD is still quite young as a game, I believe only about 2 years old. And so with additions like this (I.e. Multiple machines), HD might not have perceived such a rapid growth of their game, and now with its success, they've gotta think of the longevity of the game. Maybe they were thinking another year or two before they start introducing multiples, but now because of the way it's consumers play their game, they might have to rethink that sooner than anticipated.

Who knows, this is just my theory...but with the success of this game thus far, I'm sure they are thinking past the next 2-3 years, even 5 years and possibly, that heavily influences what they implement now more than ever, moving forward (just take a look at the last few updates we've had....quite a different approach from the earlier more primitive updates). One update which fits into this example would be the land expansion we got a while back. I'm not complaining and was quite happy with the extra space, but I did notice how rather small of an addition it was, compared to what we already had. And of course it makes sense to give us something we want, in this case land, in small quantities so they always have something to expand upon/ improve upon...thus extending the life of the game.

Even with this dairy issue, I'm sure when the majority or average farmer is around levels such as 170 and up, or even 200 and up, if it's something they've already improved upon, it might have to be revisited at that point. Anyways, just theories from a HD addict lol...first step is admitting the problem right :confused:lol?

Either way, it will be very interesting to see how they handle this game for the next few years and what kind of adventures they take us HD farmers on. I for one, have gotten my seatbelt buckled and ready to go;):o.

Yes, I'm currently level 52 and have opened all stores, buildings, and areas available to me with a ton of coins to spare for the future. This definitely includes the town which I run 24/7 and keep expanding.

I fill nearly all town orders for coffee products (and just about anything else which isn't ridiculous like jam or plain cheese). I still barely ever use my coffee kiosk or soup kitchen. However, it pans out, I usually have a surplus of cream and other dairy products. This is only because of my play style and planning. All of my neighbors never have enough of these products and I find myself constantly helping them out with these things.

The town hasn't really affected my game play a whole lot. My number one priority has been, and will always be, to help out other Hay Day players including neighbors, friends, and total strangers. I always fill my shop with premium items, rare items, and tend to respond to a lot of help requests in my neighborhood. This is the main reason dairy is rare for me. I manage it fine by myself, but I simply can't handle 29 other players who all constantly need infinite amounts of dairy because of how they play the game. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, I'm just explaining where my own lack of dairy comes from.

Personally, I don't usually fill 90% of boat and truck orders and I'll boot any town customer out if they ask for raw dairy or certain premium items. Yes, it's a ton of coin and xp for me, but that's not my focus in the game. I'd rather give those premium items to other players who can use them (probably in their towns, ha ha).

I almost always have a surplus of everything. The only time I run behind is when helping out a friend with a huge quantity of high ticket items.

I do agree that most players try to fill a ton of orders (of all kinds) and if I were attempt to do the same, I'm sure I would never have enough of anything, and not nearly enough dairy.

Let me tell you what I have been doing lately and it is only a stopgap measure, I'll agree. It kinda happened by accident since I am trying to get other things done instead of all hay day all the time. Anyway, every couple hours, I'll open the game, and just work my cows, pets, chickens feed mills and dairy (sometimes sugar) plus I am stacking outside the machine so when I think about doing something else, it looks like I don't have the sugar or dairy to make those cakes etc. I found I was having to sell things I really didn't want to sell to make space in the barn and cakes were highest in my barn.

Anyway this is helping with my supply levels for the town. It is hard to stop running those machines. While I don't really think we need a second dairy, you won't find me passing on it if they introduce one.

And I know what you are gonna say. "Well she has two farms." But both my farms are working farms. Not minis or feeders. As a matter of fact I end up having to prop up my old farm more than the other way around. I play it less because it is so slow and lagging. Katie usually has it for her word games. But it is run the same way as any other farm. I trade between the two no more often than some of you all trade with each other.

Keep in mind though that if they do decide we need an extra dairy, that they might also tweak some other aspect in the game to make up for it. It would be nice to think that they might need to tweak the dairy etc, because of the town, but I suspect, they would tweak something else also that we might not like as well.

I fully agree with Tigger, on the extra machines. No, thanks, when I first started the game I was totally unsure about everything where as now, I changed my mind, I wish not to have another machine because the diaries are too big and they clog space on the farm land. If the staff introduce one, you have my second bet I'd never buy one just the one that I own on the game.

I had opened up a 4th slot on dairy production line. I gotta save up the gems for 12 cos I spent some to get some more room on the other machines. :D

I don't mind the challenge if keeping up on the dairy items, although if the feta cheese took a little less time, I wouldn't have to beg it off friends because the town visitors seem to scarf down the feta salads and I can't make enough for them. The on,y thing I'd really like a change to is the candy maker times. Getting tired of hiring Tom because I can't keep up with the towns people and their sweets tooth. Tooths.. Sweet teeth?

With the town now in full swing, I NEVER have enough dairy and sugar items. They are running full time and I am always waiting on something to finish up.

We definitely need another sugar machine and dairy barn.

It is getting extremely frustrating now trying to supply the town, not to mention helping others with boats...

Here's a method I use if I get in over my head in terms of too low of stock. I don't help any boats (unless I have ample stock to do so) and just chop, churn, bake, make, smelt, roll, blend, and do whatever else I need to do to get back up to par. Send townies away and focus on replenishing stock for a day or two or more if need be. Sell wheat and crops if you still want to sell in the RSS to make it look as though someone didn't just go on vacation and leave all the machines running :) I know some people who even just take a HD break for a few days and pop in every so often just to check on machines and fill them if needed. Anyways, it's a great way to get back on track. If sugar is an issue, spend a day making sugar and don't use that day's supply. Use the next day's supplies. Make syrup at night (or during the day) whenever it is you sleep (if you sleep lol), since it takes longer. Same with feta and cheddar. Hope that helps someone. :)

Oh, can't agree more!

I would like to see the ability to purchase at least 2 of all of the cooking/baking/sewing/etc. machines. If we are going to get a boat that needs both hamburgers and fish burgers or a boat that needs two types of jams, then we need to have more than one production machine. This is especially true with the items that take more than an hour to complete. The boat generally comes in 4 hours. It would be different if all of us had 24/7 to spend on the game, but most don't.

BTW- I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new HayDay TV spots.

I think that instead of another machine, it would be better to have an upgrade to the dairy and sugar machine that would allow the production of two items at the same time, similar to how the feed machine produces three feed sacks at once.

With thought of keeping balance and not watering down the challenges of the game what if farms were allowed to specialize. You could trade one of your ore mills for another sugar mill. Or maybe give up your sugar mill to pick up another loop. You could set up your farm to say specialize in jams and juices but have to go to other farms for dairy products. Same number of machines would remain within the game and trade between farms would be better

I don't think having one more dairy would kill the game or make it too easy. It's ridiculous that this hasn't been added as almost EVERYTHING needs an ingredient that's made in the dairy. And then on top of that you get boat orders that need 11 creams or 6 butters. It's very annoying, and makes the game a little frustrating to play. That's why I quit this game for weeks at a time. I think game apps do this hoping you'll spend money on the game. I could be wrong, but hey, just my opinion.

I had posted this same request a couple of months ago, and I know I'm not the first. And I am aware of balance but still think it won't be that much of an issue. I remember when everyone made bacon and eggs in droves as there wasn't enough demand for those things. The developers cleverly sorted that with the challenge events and also adding things like mayonnaise and lemon curd. It's already a stretch to fill a boat with butter sugar or cream, and I'm level 71. I let boats go by especially if there's a challenge event going on! So I can give priority to it. Obviously it's just a game! but now that the town is opened, keeping up with those customers is demanding also! I find that I often have no cream and no white sugar whereas before it wasn't difficult to keep 15 or so on hand. I agree that hay day is a really generous game and you really can play it with no money down, if you take your time. I realize the game would become a bit unenjoyable if you could do everything with ease but it's the same result when you can't keep up!

NOT 2 dairies & sugar mills! Just HALVE production time!!

This idea I propose is actually a better idea than 2 each of these buildings, which have been desired for a long time.


Increase MASTERY STARS levels on time for dairy and sugar mill production buildings only, to 50% reduced production time which could potentially be achieved by level 60, OR, Mastery Stars can be added for time only after level 50 to a 50% reduced time.


Farmers can still choose to spend diamonds to gain mastery stars, BUT reduce the amount of diamonds required to be spent for each level of mastery.

I have asked for this myself but now i have second thoughts.
If everything was easy it wouldn't be exciting. You would go online, fix your farm and then go offline until next time you check in (boat is coming, town train is coming etc.)
However.... i do agree that production time for certain products - including dairy products - should be reduced. And/or make an adjustment so we don't face visitors in town who request 5 brown sugar or 4 cream. (Same for boats - too many in each crate)

yes need badly it starts off good but the higher level you are the harder it gets.

many products need sugar and cheese to be made and we easily run out of those! we really need more sugar and dairy machines

Right now I am in 52nd level, I got 9 slots for sugar mill and 8 slots for diary and believe me I never had shortage of those items, on the contrary I use to sell all those excessive products.

I'm lvl 64 and frequently run low or out of dairy products and sugar mill products. MY slots are maxed. I help ppl tho with boats containing these items. I think a cheese press and syrup machine would be great additions.
