impeaching the leader of the clan

hi i have been facing problem of inactive leader in clan. actually i have created a clan, later i made my friend leader of it as i was going to be inactive for a while, when i joined i found he was uninterested in this game. he left this game without making anyone leader.

now i have been 6 months we are having shortage to leader.we cannot demoted or kick our co leaders.

so i request you to please input an leader impeachment feature.it will be a feature where all co leaders and elders will vote to demote a leader. if majority of clan mates accept this the leader of clan should receive a mail to leave his post. leader will have choice either to leave or stay. if leader is inactive for more than 7 days, the answer will be to get demoted.

to ensure overuse cool down can be used like user for shields.

with this option many clans facing problem of inactive leaders will get resolved.

If the leader has been inactive for more then 3 month, then you might get some help from Supercell Support. (They might give the leadership of the clan to the longest active co-leader in the clan)

A week is way to short amount of time..... I think Supercell has gotten it right with 3 months.

I clicked figuring somebody had Donald Trump as their clan leader.

A leader should be demoted after 1 month of being inactive and the elders vote on which co will be leader.

6 months, not one month, and that is since last login, not last action.

After 1 month of an inactive leader and no co-leaders, I would support auto-promotion of the most senior elder to co-leader.

If this was put into action, couldnt the co's continuously bombard the leader with 'step down' requests?

servicemen can be longer than 6 months. And thats not cool for some guy to come back from serving to find out his clan was taken from him and given to someone else.

I think what this is is just a bunch of guys that want something that belongs to someone else, and are looking for excuses to be able to take it. The guy that paid for the clan owns it and until he gives it up willingly it should stay his. These guys that complain that they put a ton of work into a clan with an inactive leader made their own problems and arent entitled to a bail out.

This is what the OP is saying.....your neighbor has a car sitting in the driveway. You really like that car. He has not diven it for a month. So you want to be allowed to have the state transfer the title over to you. Thats just not how it works.

how it does work...Go get your own car. If you like the neighbors car then get a car just like it if you want. But get your own. No matter what you are not entitled to his.

**cough** I am sure that there is a law, that says something like: If you have been using something movable for longer than 6 months (could be different), it is yours. There is a longer time for buildings, but you can expropriate someones property by using it without him blocking you.

For houses and property yes. If someone starts using your property, after a period of years (certainly nit a month) if you have not objected then they acquire the right to continue that usage that they cant be evicted. Ownership gets trickier though and some legal pickles have come from that. (Owner still has the right to sell the oroperty and new owner has not given anyone permission and now wants squatter gone)

But not for cars. If you are actually using the car during that time you better have something from the owner that explicitly states you have permission or that can start going the grand theft auto route.

I don't what to argue against that, but I thought it was standard practice for SC to accept claims of a leader having lost their account, if they were inactive for six months. The terms of service make it clear that your account may be deleted.

they dont delete inactive accounts, or not so far (you are correct that they retained the right to) instead they make them not come up at the front of searches. So they are there if you look for them. (Which is not easy).

The best bet is for the guys to make their own clan and start over if they want it that bad. I see guys crying about 'all my 6 months of hard work' but these are kids for whom life's realities have not been accepted yet. 6 months of playing a video game is not much of an investment. As far as setbacks that life will be throwing in their lap and they will be responsible for overcomming this clan thing is nothing. Its hard not to laugh at the ones coming on describing it like its the end of the world.

i am a victim of this phenominon btw, so I do too know what its like to realize the clan I have been playing in is now over. For me it was a year I had been there. I simply picked up, started a new clan, and we are chugging along merrily.

i also didnt wait no 6 months. After he had not appeared for about a month I saw the writing on the wall. So I told the others I was leaving, this time starting a clan of my own, and they could do whatever they wanted with my best wishes either way. A lot of them did come to my clan and some of those are still there even. I checked back on the old clan and it is still there but the inactive leader and one other dead account are all thats left. If he ever does go active again he still has his clan. Just not his membership. The membership was not 'taken' from him. They left of their own accord as is their right.

The value in a clan is its members and whether they are a good group that works well together. If you have that the sky is the limit and you can overcome anything that befalls you. These guys that are focused more on the win count or xp as being the most important thing have a values/priorities issue that will likely impede their abailty to ever be good leaders.

OMG, Im sorry I misread you post. I thought it was a way to deal with scenarios where the leader seems to have disappeared. But you are talking about mpeaching even active leaders if you dont like them.

and I'm sorry but that clan is his, if you dont like him then vote with your feet should be the only voting. To many bad scenarios otherwise. Trolling would be rampant.

I support HIS impeachment. And pence also.

Inactive leaders are a problem. Not sure this is the way. And those that say start from scratch have probably never tried that. so.

Leaders need to be active if not then they need to set up a deadmans switch. Something a leader needs to come on and hit it to keep his clan go inactive for a set amount . Lose the leadership. But can not be kicked. Can regain if returns in another set time. If not then he can and should be kicked.

I have been opposed to even inactive leaders losing their clans because they paid for it. That has me seeing it as their property no one has a right to just take, no matter what. But if I put that viewpoint aside and try to think of a way thats not unfair.....what if after a long enough period (and because of servicemen and other scenarios I think a full year) it can then be bought? if they held the election the winner doesnt get the clan, he just gets the right to buy it. What he pays goes not to SC like it does on the originsl purchase, it instead goes to the coffers of the inactive leader. The price could even be doubled so that leader makes profit.

the year is long, but if someone wants that clan bad enough running all that time is part of earning it. And if they dont want to wait or earn they always have the option to have their own clan right off by leavimg to start one and can invite the other members who will come if they truly want him to be their leader.

But also this is a bit off topic as the OP isnt talking about inactive leaders as a lot of us apoarently thought on first read. If you look he is talking about having a way to overthrow an active leader and that I think is a total non starter.

This is actually quite a interesting idea.
I came on here expecting a "kick the leader!" post.

I like the fact that there is an option for the leader to choose.

However, this idea would only be useful in kicking inactive leaders, not for bad leadership, as the leader could just reject the idea or kick any and all members that votes against them.

How about also give us forum members a option to impeach a forum moderator ......jk....lol.
