Boosters don't work My emails to support don't work Laughable responses

I had a booster for Tom to add nine hours on. It just ran 9 hours on top of what I had. I had 17 hours left on his time. I should have had 17 hours plus 9 hours for a total of 26 hours. Well that's not the case. I activated the booster to add the nine hours on and it just ran consecutive to the 17. So I gained no time at all. I wrote support. But since we aren't allowed to post support responses now (new rule, closed thread) I can't see how we are gaining anything with these booster cards. The same has happened with Rose and Ernie. I really really wish I could post the response. The boosters are pointless unless the "team" can find a fix.

I have not added Tom time, but I have added rose time, successfully.

Support being an epic failure yet again by the sounds of it, but the mods just want to sweep it under the carpet. :rolleyes:

Sorry to hear about that Besta, thus far to date I have never used a booster to extend an existing booster; I only active the free Tom sometime after hiring him previously. Obviously won't help you now but something to be mindful of next time until SuperCell fix the boosters.

Good luck in getting a proper response! I have always pretty much ignored their first response, and then continue to tell them why THEY are not understanding the problem for which I contacted them.

I have a Tom card free for 25 hrs, and would be really po'd if I didn't get the additional time. I wonder if the "team" is beginning to think these boosters are not quite as wonderful as advertised.

I average activated the free Tom booster 2x and once I got the full time and once I got 9 hours. I didn't bother contacting support - I knew I would get a disappointing response.

Just directly ask the support people if you can share the conversation. If they say yes, you're allowed to share it, that's part of the rule too.

And if they refuse, well, you can't quote them. But let us know so that we can see how badly Supercell and their support are hiding their lack of quality assurance through the customer support, as long as you don't quote them you can paraphrase all you want. :smirk:

Something I have encountered.. I have 1 hour plus of Tom left in my booster, and Tom has already said his good bye and took out his yellow balloon?? Is this normal?

Honestly I think that is worse, my para-phase would always be "Support really have no idea, they don't even read my question regarding the bug with boosters and just treat me like an idiot".

Is that really better than quoting? I don't think so. Such a stupid rule.

I know I'm sounding negative lately...and I don't mean to I love the game.

But I don't love unnecessary rules, and I don't love the in game support team.

Although the Mod Squad has ruled that we can't post screenshots from the Support Reps, we may paraphrase their replies by "telling us in your own words the gist of what support told you, but no direct quotes."

For example, last week I used direct quotes from Support when I posted to the CR subforum. After Rule #19 was clarified by the Mod Squad, I found my OP and edited it by paraphrasing what the Support Rep told me.

Then it is time, to stop bothering trying to post anything that shows the incompetence of In Game Support or try to get someone higher up to look at it, as because we cant post screen shots and we have to paraphrase. Embarrassed by your In-game support that you wont take corrective actions to resolve players issues. Lack of Quality Control & Quality Assurance is is incredible after assurances that In-Game support would be improving. After I personally invested Thousands of Dollars in In-App Purchases, I have no recourse but to either email support, that may or may not get answered correctly or if answered at all, way to be oppressive or to take to social media, I think I will do the latter. i wonder do they really care about SC Games when they modified that rule or ....?. Who knows I am not God.

I just came here to say the same thing. My next run was in 10 minutes I waited and before the time was up he was saying bye. My booster still says I have 45is minutes left. 😓

Thank heavens Besta has taken the time to raise the issue. I too have had the same issue with trying to extend Tom but just thought that I maybe hadn't counted correctly. I have a 4 star Tom for a 13hr extension waiting now - but is it really worth using? Let's hope that support wake up, liaise with their development team and sort out the multiple booster system failures once and for all.
