Not really. Once an item becomes unlocked at whatever level you are at, the item becomes available to you whether or not you have bought the machine or whatever. I have no idea what level the soup kitchen becomes available but I have access to buy it (I haven't ) and the next boat coming has... Tada... Tomato soup!
This is nothing new. I didn't have the ice cream maker for the longest time but I could still buy ice cream from others and it would come up on truck orders and boat orders(this is how the flying ice cream truck/van came into bei g I think lol).
So. No not poor planning on their part at all.
It's not new but this time unless a player used diamonds to speed up the building, none of us will have the machine available till tomorrow or the next day, so unless you get Tom to bring you lobster or the proper soup, it's a bit much to ask for it already. I would think they'd be able to code the boat to not ask for the item untill the building or lobster area was finished because of the update. But then of course, they might miss out on someone buying more diamonds. This farmer will be casting off boats asking for soup and of course I can't help anyone who opens crates for me to fill. I bought Tom this morning because of the folks who said the wiggle on the screen made them lose diamonds. Since I had 12 on the screen and three in the house, it made sense to use them up that way, but he is fetching shovels, jam, sugar and then maybe some lobster, but no soup.Quote:

no I agree that if something has been out then it's up to you to purchase or supply it for your boat, but when they release a new good or product your next boat shouldn't require it. The only way to do it is to spend diamonds, and alot of them to complete your orders.
I just cast off a boat asking for seafood pizza. I have seen a lot of boats asking for help with soup. They must not be aware of the cast off option.

I cast off 3 boats today due to soup or items requiring lobster. Plus the bonus event is filling your boat, so I lost a day of boat filling. If new items are available, at least give people the time to finish the machines before adding them to boat orders
I was just about to start a thread on this.
This was a punk move by Supercell. The only players who could already have their soup kitchens up and running probably needed 30+ diamonds to get it. And to not only do it before the majority of players would have it ready, but to also conveniently call up the river boat bonus so casting away the boats wanting soup essentially wastes 8 hours or more of the limited time to get double vouchers/coins...definitely a silly move.
I wish I could say I'm surprised, but they want our money and ♥♥♥♥ like this makes that happen.
Lobsters are not quick to catch, I believe there are waiting time. I heard the Lobster Pool can only hold 1 at a time and 6 hours to get a lobster tail. You need coins and other 12 hours to upgrade the Poll to put more lobster (max 6 lobsters).
My visitors tell me soups take from 2 to 3 hours to make one.
How long to be ready for a boat order asking for new item, given you have all the necessary coins and no one is selling ? I say at least 1 week without using diamond.
It's not like we are forced to do boat orders, boat event will come back 2 or 3 weeks later. Bad luck for us the boat event is going on right now. I wish there were no event at all or no boat orders during several days or no update till boat event is over. Hard to choose.

It seems to be unlucky to be "soup level" at the time of the update. I'm just below the level to buy the soup kitchen machine and I haven't had any boats requesting soup or lobsters and so on. My two new machines by the fishing lake are currently building so I hope my fortune will remain! If I'm unlucky it will ask for lobsters soon. My lobster pot won't be done until tomorrow morning and I'm sure as hell not using any diamonds...
When the boat arrives, don't fill any crates! Just tap the big boat button (as you would if you were done with the boat) and it will ask you if you want to send it off.Quote:

Yes, SC is in the business of providing entertainment for a profit, else they wouldn't be in business, and while I continue to play the game itself, I won't be buying diamonds and spending real world cash now or in the future. I just don't play THAT game. If anyone considers that illogical, programming or otherwise, so be it. I'll be stepping off my soapbox now and return to waiting 30 more hours for my pool to be ready for its single lonely lobster. Cheers!
When I started to play HayDay I filled a lot of truck orders, levelled fast and put myself in the situation where I had the chance to buy different machines but could not afford them - and received many orders for items produced with those machines. So now that I receive orders for lobster soup and wait for the soup kitchen and lobster pool to be built that's nothing new. That's just how the game works! It's ok.
I've been playing since May and haven't bought any diamonds yet. Hours and hours of great entertainment for free! I'm amazed that SC has made this game so enjoyable for people not spending any money. But I think the time to buy some diamonds is getting closer - just to say thanks. :-)
Believe it or not, this game is just that, A GAME! Don't get so caught up in the game that you have to spend money to rush a "virtual machine" I've learn that patients is most rewarding on this game. So cast of those boats and wait.
