I'm quite new to this game, I am on level 11, my animals used to have accessories, the pigs had coats and the chickens had snorkels, now they are naked. What happened:confused:;):rolleyes:

It was a summer theme (and a silly idea that went on way too long) and it ended with the most recent game update last night. This is the normal look of the animals. Hopefully they won't do that again.
I disagree! I've also only been playing since the animals had clothes on and now my pigs look naked! I also loved the snorkelling chickens :-)
Miss Babs
I started playing before the summer theme and I was one of the few people who actually like the dressed animals. I totally miss them. I couldn't get over how naked the pigs looked! LOL
*fingers crossed for a Halloween costume update*
I started playing when the summer theme was going on too and I miss the clothes too! I hope they come out with Halloween outfits for the animals.
Will you lot behave. I hated the dumb animals in even dumber clothes, so don't go encouraging SC with Halloween ideas! I don't mind it being an option you could buy, but not compulsory!
I started shortly before the Birthday bash. For just a few minutes, the costumes annoyed me. But then I realized, heck, if pigs can sign "feed me", smile, stand up and wave; if cows can collapse and hang their tongues out in relief; if sheep can shiver with bulging eyes and look at me accusingly; if goats can be narcoleptic and look like my husband asleep in front of the TV; if chickens can play "look, we're from the boneless chicken ranch", than why wouldn't they be in Birthday attire to celebrate.
Don't know what snorkel gear has to do with a Birthday party, but I liked the chickens get up the most, I think because it made no sense. LOL I even got trounced on a thread that was nagging SC to remove the clothes just for posting that I liked them and was looking forward to Halloween attire.
I mean, sure the cloths are silly, but they were meant to be...they fit right in with the entire flavor and essence of Hay Day. The whole game is purposely silly and quirky...THAT's what attracted us to this particular game to begin with. THAT's what makes it more than just unique from all the other time management farming games out there, as well as the ongoing interaction of the Developers with their audience and continued growth, which I've never seen elsewhere. It's the humor that addicts us to THIS game when we could be playing another farming game and keeps us here no matter how frustrated we get.
No matter how aggravated I get over losing diamonds or being stuck with a glitch or filling sugar demands, I see a pig smile at me and it makes everything ok; and, yes, they do look naked now. :D Since they dressed them up last Halloween and Christmas, they likely plan on continuing the trend.
EDIT: It's not compulsory. This IS the game. It was dreamed up, designed, developed, and produced to have these graphics and humorous content. Perhaps, if you hate the game's graphics that much, it may not be the best gaming choice for you.
I miss my flowery sheep, terribly........
I loved the outfits and miss them. Wouldn't mind seeing something else also!
Just wait they'll be wearing costumes at Christmas!
We're excited about the possibility for dressing up the farm critters for various occasions in the future. I think costumes for the visitors would be fun, too!
That said, we're also aware that some folks found the summer/birthday costumes overstayed their welcome. We'll try to be more conservative with the amount of time particular themes hang around :)
Please keep sharing your ideas, we love to read them and they often give us inspiration for the future.
Totally agree Button... The idea of buying any future animal attire is a very good one. The fun element is within the animations themselves, and that's enough for me personally. I dread to think of a cow in a santa's costume, or a piggy fairy on a crimbo tree...
John.
I agree with Crick...the cute graphics is a big part of the reason I love it so much.
I am hoping my piggies will not have to be naked for long. Seriously, it's almost indecent looking! LOL
Add me to the liked the costumes club. The cute animals were the reason I kept playing. I kept seeing ads for this game on my other game and never thought much of it. But I dumped the other game when they got tooooooooo greedy with the premium cash and made it so you couldn't play without paying real money for virtual cash. Anyway when I downloaded hay day and saw those snorkeling chickens I was hooked. Then the pigs kept pointing to their mouths in their little outfits and the poor naked sheep shivering, well what's a mom to do.
i can see where they might have gotten old with the birthday theme but if they limit the time frame, I think it will be a nice compromise.
Tigg
Actually Woozle, that worm looks evil. Send him back!!
The new update brought with it updated animals. Part of the reason I loved this game was because of the quirky fun animals with their scuba masks, hats, and flowered wool. PLEASE bring them back :)
I liked their costumes too. They were fun, and I miss them as well. But this is actually the normal appearance of the animals in the game. If you started playing recently, you may not realize that. Hopefully, they will come out with some fall/Halloween apparel soon though.
I'm with Button on this one. I did not like the flowery sheep and the snorkeling chickens one bit. Poor chickens looked like they were suffocating and having a terrible time trying to eat with those ridiculous snorkel thingies on.
I wouldn't mind the little people in costumes though. People are supposed to wear clothes, animals look ridiculous in flowery shirts and snorkel gear.
Haha this topic always makes me laugh. Why so serious, people? Just go with it :D
For those who like naked animals, enjoy it while it last.
For those who liked the clothes, don't worry...Halloween/Xmas is around the corner. U can bet we'll be seeing more clothes :)
I'm one of the 'no clothes for animals' folks. I know there a lot of people that love to dress up their cats and dogs at home, but farm animals? No thank you!
I'm happy to see my animals the way nature intended - naked and happy!
I like the suggestion that if a person wants to buy costumes for their animals, they're more than welcome, but please don't make it mandatory. I HATED the snorkels on the chickens. What was that about?!
What's cute and fun for some are ridiculous and lame for others. Choice...it makes everyone happy.
THANK YOU forum members! You totally made my date + the update! I haven't laughed so much in a long time. I'm so glad that no one is here watching me.
I started the game when the animals already had birthday costumes on. Yes, I agree, it ran a little long. Yes, I did complain about the "aloha shirts" (from Hawaii, I had to say something).
BUT, after opening and playing the game today, I miss those costumes.
The cows freak me out. They look like they're strung out on drugs. Probably crack because they're pupils are all dilated.
Those goats are just plain scary.
Chickens are plain. They're just chickens now.
Piggies! They're all NAKED and when they get all fat and need baconating, what can I say...
Happy farming everyone! Thank you.
WOOZLE: We should keep that worm hostage. Glad you came back to the lighter side of gaming!
I really liked the birthday attire. But I agree that it did go on way too long.
And I can't wait for the next dress up.... like a previous poster, maybe Halloween! Just don't do it for so long. :)
I think being able to buy the current outfits for our animals is a good compromise
How would it work tho? Once you buy the outfit you drag it on to the animal?
OH OH OH... I just had this vision... Where you buy the outfit, drag it onto the animal and right after it does a quick model pose to show off their new duds. That would be so cute!
Putting clothes on animals should be a separate option.
I play hayday since when did, when he had no such frills clothes in the game.
I swear when I woke up to play hay day this morning I fed my pigs and goats and I was just hoping the cops didn't show up to my house later in the day because my animals where naked. It will take some getting used to
I think the sheep would look great in little black witch hats -- and Green Holstein Frankenstein cows. Pig ghosts!! What are your ideas?
