1. Buying workers doesnt count / saving for them doesnt count either. I am assuming you either have five or you are fine with 4.
2. You didnt spend more than $20 for gems overall.
What do you spend your day-to day gems income.

Saving them to get 4th builder, and with the new achievements its got a lot easier.
I usually speed up upgrades that finish late in the night so I can go to sleep.

I am a saver. I have only gemmed on the coc anniversary for the boost. Currently all my saving has gotten 4 builders + 1900 gems.
I'm saver too, yet only at 3 builders...

i am always finishing troops with my leftover gems. Especially when i need some specific sum to start an upgrade.
I find "gem to raid" to be most fun way to spend :) I never have enough gems to significantly boost building speed of something and gemming resources is inefficient because i get more with raiding.
By finishing troops I mean the upgrade in lab
Ive just used gems thrice:
1. 2nd Builder hut during tutorial
2. 3rd builder hut
3. Anniversary boost :)
I'm really lousy at saving and i usually spend straight away on finishing buildings or troops.
