If rules are super-strict, people will repel from it more and more. At one point, this sub-forum will fully occupied by fresh spawns. Also, I am pretty sure there will be a point when the rules will be stopped following.
How would the subforum be occupied by Fresh Spawns when those rules will hurt FS spam and good card creators won't have any problem with them ?
Many of the people are here and not in general because of this reason called "rule-free environment". If you enforce strict rules that hurts a person or two, you might witness a severe people drop from this sub-forum. Also, remember that the very same rules that you create might backfire you on some date.
Most card creators here, if not all of them except you, agreed on the fact that stricter rules should be applied to make this subforum better. The "Let's cleanup this forum" thread has over 70 signatures. We all know we need this, and we're not going to leave the forums because of stricter rules. There are already people getting banned, and we're not giving up.
Just "Agreed"... Aftermath will definitely be experienced.
EDIT: "All" except me, right??? Say what now. Ligi (my favorite card creator) agreed with me. So, all of them except me is too much. I don't have much else to add to Ligi.
Yeah. That makes you and Ligi. Two against 70, maybe more. Even SC mods replied and didn't tell us to stop. Is your only argument "I'm with Ligi" ? If yes, this debate ends too.
So, face after-math all on your own as community rips apart. Community in this place is partializing itself that one is superior and other is inferior. Also, 2 of us straight up disagreed. There are million others who will disagree along with us. Also, punishing people for doing wrong mistakenly is itself worth punishing.
I don't see any other person supporting the "keep the forum as it is" apart from you two. Whether my side has a clear 70 signatures. I could say I've millions of people who agree with me too, but I don't, because that's unsure.
EDIT : And in this thread, I've received many "this should be sticky" comments.
So, what??? rules should not be strict. Support would be more but consequences will shatter community. This will only ruin forums. If you think of forum's good, please work on better rules which are not punishing. Number of people doesn't tell anything. What does "this should be sticky" comments mean? The thread is good. There are a lot of threads way better out there which are unseen by moderators. Unless our questions are answered properly by mods, this can't be stickied. As moderators, they can understand what we are saying too.
-Post Rule #0 : "Then, they'll post in general... duh?" That's the point. If people want to post here they'll have to understand how the forum works.
They'll post in general which in turn is spamming. LOL
At least they won't spam here. Posting ideas in general => they get moved to the correct subforum. These rules are made for IFR, not General Discussion.
You just ruined your reputation. So, the place you are should be neat and throw all the junk and waste to next house lawn? Great.
Did General Discussion ask for a better subforum ? No. And we're not throwing junk ; if players spam in General, their threads get deleted. If they post ideas, their threads get moved. Filters IFR from some threads and doesn't harm GD.
We are here to talk about IFR, not General Discussion.
My reputation ? Because people know who I am outside this subforum, maybe ? I'm here to post ideas and to make Clash Royale advance, not to talk in General Discussion. And how would I be ruining my reputation by trying to help this subforum become a better place ?
Oh. Just see GD forums first. I'll tell I am not from general. In fact, I am from off-topic. But, whenever I visit there, mostly I see argument called "wrong sub-forum" and "spam". This only adds more and more.
I know the current situation of GD forums. But even if it gets a good percentage of spam, it's the one with the most active members, threads and such. Reporting threads would filter out all these spammy threads.
So, does that mean you can spam in general? nope. proper way would be leaving.
Proper way would be to report threads to help the forums ; leaving is selfish and only benefits yourself.
Oh my god. I meant leaving as not leaving forums. Leaving in leaving things as it is. LOL Sorry. My grammar is not so good.
