Hi All, I realize that th5 is still low. I was searching for some feedback on the proposed layout attached or links to good th5 layouts. Hopefully the layout is obvious (WT = Wiz Twr, M = mortor, etc). Still finishing up some th4 stuff but hope to step up soon.
See new pic below, I fixed the sizes of some buildings.
Mortar, wiz tower, cannon and archer tower are 3x3 , not 2x2

first, don't make that everything is in your walls, because if you do that, the first wall they destroy, they can go inside and boom! you are defeated. you can leave everything except the storages, TH and towers inside your walls. your gold mine or elixir extractors will slow your enemies and you can beat them with your towers when they are occupied. understand?:confused:
Having your Mortar and Wizard Tower on the edges is bad, you want them as close to the center as possible to spread the splash. I can't attest to this base in a defense strategy, but it worked fine for farming for me (pulled the TH to the corner and put my CC inside):

Those are just a few I ran across in a brief search when I was TH5. I typically got attacked by much higher troops than normal since I went to crystal briefly for the gems and had a lot of people revenging me, but against L2-3 troops it held fairly well the few times it happened. It's hard to do much with so few walls.

I will say that I don't really like the AD at the bottom like it is since it's really vulnerable, but with such limited walls I didn't bother messing with it (that and I never got hit by air units). You could maybe use the extra walls to segment a little, but if you're active and don't worry about the mines/collectors you shouldn't be at TH5 long enough to worry much about it.

My TH6 just came online this morning, and I've already got all my new walls up to gold, started my lab upgrading, and started building my new mortar and wizard tower; I only needed a couple of quick raids to top up my gold and my 3 builders are now all busy again until late tonight... Once my lab is done, I'll still have enough elixer to get a nice troops upgrade going, as well as working on more good upgrades like maybe pink walls and camps...
That's about the order I'd recommend you start with too - get the storages all full, then start with the upgrades that improve your raiding ability, while dumping gold into quick and easy defensive upgrades.
Just wanted to share my final TH 5 layout in case any one else was looking for ideas.
