members wouldn't be members if they were trust worthy. i for instance am trust worthy to my clan even though i only been there 5 days. on day one i donated 700 troops for the clan instant elder. anyone whos been there longer than me and is still member is not a trust worthy person to the group. just an example.

I'm really not sure how an additional button is superior to an additional tab - in fact in every way it is worse because:
- it is using up (much much) more screen
- it is another button that the user has to know about and work out how to use
- it is a new function altogether so actually most likely HARDER to code than a new tab
- it does not have good discover-ability or interface consistency (these are important when designing GUIs)

no offence, but you haven't solved the UI problem, you have just suggested another solution that is worse

This is a GREAT idea! After seeing what you wrote, I brought it up to the members in my clan. (Info below.) Everyone in my clan except a new member to COC, said that this was an AWESOME idea. So I hope this idea gets approved! :)

I play a similar game called Dojo Mojo on facebook (yes, another CoC ripoff).

it has elder chat and I find it a very useful too. For those in all-elder clans, it would obviously not make much of a difference, but otherwise, it allows senior members an easier way of communicating, without having to use yet another app.
