They are not overpriced. I had my BK to 5 before I even had a DE drill. Now that my third is maxing out, I'll get 7K DE per day even if I don't raid any. Gaining 12K or more per day is easy. No, the real issue is that the BK and AQ are unavailable while upgrading. I can see increasing the respawn time while upgrading to 2x or 4x what it is normally - motivating people to gem for boost - but having BK and AQ totally unavailable is asinine. Same for barracks.
I think that the AQ should 25k DE instead of 40k

i think its very fair. i consistently have around 30k dark elixer without even trying! im going for gold and elixer right now, and my army costs ~600DE per battle
Hey, think about this for a second. If Heroes cost so little to upgrade, everyone would have maxed Kings/Queens, right? Heroes make a huge difference in attacking, so your yourself on the defending side of that equation. You would get demolished more. Think about ALL the angles ;)
