Valkyries should be boosted

No offense for those who like them, but I believe they're the most useless and the less used troop of the game.

Looking at her stats and abilities I can pretty much tell that they were probably made to fight other troops (high damage, high health, small splash damage) deploying them to fight clan castle troops or as clan castle troops themselves. However nobody uses them. That's a fact.

For this reason I believe they should be boosted in order to better fulfill this role.

I suggest adding features such as:

FAVORITE TARGET: Troops and heroes
Does extra damage against troops and heroes( maybe something a little lower than similar level WB damage against walls)

So let me know your thoughts on that. I think it would be nice because nobody used hog riders but they were put back in the game by their recent boost. I really like DE troops concept and I'd like to see all of them at their best. And sorry if there are any grammar mistakes on my post. English is not my native language so it might not be as good as it would be if I was writing at my native language. :)

EDIT: I've been thinking and I believe that If those were to be added to the game to balance stuff the valkyries should have her hitpoints lowered so it wouldn't get to strong to the point of being invencible when fighting against troops.

When fighting troops we have to consider three types of troops it might come across:

1. Melee units( barbs, goblins, giants...):These are actually simple units, as valks high damage and splash damage can take care of those. I decided to keep the 2x damage against troops and heroes and targeting those to. I thought it might be interesting if they took LESS damage from troops, allowing them to fight those longer.

2. Range units( archers, wizard, witches, archer queen): this is when it complicates. The less damage taken allow her to reach those before dying(what's great) and those usually have less health. However they also can shoot over walls, and that's the problem. jglove than suggested something I found useful.
Extra damage against walls. Keeping their target as units, but this will allow valks to get to ranged units without so much trouble and make them helpful after cc troops and heroes are gone. Also extra speed would be nice.

3. Flying units(balloons, healers, dragons, minions): Now it doesn't matter whether those are ranged or not. Being able to fly, valks can't target those. So she will need a ranged attack (having both ranged and melee attack is so far unheard of so i'm in new territory). I believe this could be sth like "valkyries have such a huge grudge against troops that they will unleash a new attack only to get read of those flying units". On other words, ranged attacks against flying units only.

Well when i was farming sub 200 it seemed like everyone there in a clan had a valkyrie come out....

I completely agree that she is the least used troop but i dont know about her being able to do more damage to heroes. I do believe she needs something more though. You are definetely on to something.

maybe she can absorb her sister: the archers shots from the archer tower and that increases her damage by 1%

I don't get your idea inkredible. Could you explain it slightly better?

I really hope Valks get a boost maybe a little bigger splash radius. Also a lvl 5 would be cool.

I hope your able to make it happen buddy. I would love to see them get a bump. I bet lvl 5 Valks come out soon too, and I would think this would help.

Well as you say I only see they fit as defense troop right now but maybe if she were changed to a unit who can crush the first wall in one hit she would be nice as a berserker run I mean?

Another thing would be if she was able to hit two or more buildings (the buildings must be as close as they touch eachother) in one hit

When they are deployed or exit the clan castle, give them a huge burst of speed for 3-5 seconds.

My reasoning:

I think the problem with all melee troops is the need to get in there before dying. To accomplish this you either make them fast, give them a lot of hit points, or make them cost very few housing spaces to allow for a zerg.

Valkyries are okay on all three but not great, and the lack of a preferred target means their decent speed/HP/housing space is not enough to get where you want them to go. It's sort of the PEKKA problem of walking all around the base... but with fewer hit points and less damage.

The aren't bad troops - but I'm not waiting 15 minutes for one - that is crazy.

Should be more like 10 minutes to cook one.

i feel like they are gonna revamp here since they have been revamping troops every update ie hog riders ballons etc

i'd rather have her do 2x (or more) damage on walls. their splash attack make the walls breach larger (3 tiles) thus make an easier way for other troops to move in.

How about giving her a 60 % chance of deflecting or absorbing (Teslas and Infernos) all point defence damage with her axe? Would bring her up a couple of notches as a tank unit.

This is one of the many problems I found in Valks.
They take 8 army spaces , are expensive and take 15 minutes to make, and you don't get much profit from it.
I'm trying to make her abilities match those stats, or as an alternative supercell should lower space, cost and time.

I think this would actually make things more complicated. I like clash because of the simplicity of the gameplay yet the complexity of the strategies. This would complicate the gameplay way to much.

And if Valkyries get a boost everybody will complain that they are too powerful. :rolleyes:

I think they need a major buff in damage to walls and general damage. Housing space should be reduced to 7 and training time should be 5 minutes. I think that would make them more useful.

Well they already do splash so any more damage increase will them the new hog riders/witches witch will be irritating :mad:

I think that it actually is the course of the game. Everyone was using dragons. They made people have one extra air defense and new air defense levels. Then they introduced golems and they became the new high level gameplay(GOWIPE Strategy). Inferno Towers and Dragons again(level 4). Witches were overpowered and were the only troop used. They decreased their range( so that people tried using other troops) and added new wizard tower level. They buffed hogs, so they should nerf them slightly next update or add something to counter them. I believe it's valks time to shine.

It is because no one prefer them, just doesn't mean no one uses them, they already added witches and was a pain and still is even after they were nerfed, they boosted hogs, and is difficult to suppress because they are extremely tanky (more so than a giant I believe) and target defense like giants, but they are stronger than giants which makes them difficult.
valkaries are good, you just probably don't know how to use them right, they are also good for defense because they have splash damage

I know that. But no one uses them because there are better options to use to fulfill the holes that they would. I started this thread because each dark elixir troop so far is outstanding at their specific function ( hogs only at the recent update) and are unique in a way. Valks are the only exception and I wish they were like the other ones. I know that they are a great defensive troop, but other troops work as well or even better than her. and she's not that useful when attacking. So there's really no point to train those. That's the purpose of this thread. I want to make training valkyries actually be useful and profitable. The ideas that I and the others posted here are a proof of an overall frustration with many flaws of valks that I think they should change because let's face it NO ONE USES VALKYRIES.

Here's my ideas:

1) Make her sprite larger.

2) Deflects shots when she spins her axe.

I saw your idea but I don't see why to increase her sprite. It's actually pretty useful because sometimes people don't realize there's a valk among barbs in your clan castle and they don't pay that much of attention only to have their troops destroyed by a single axe swing. That's actually pretty useful(one of the few things that are nice about them). About the other idea, I don't know. I'm addicted to clash because of the simplicity of the gameplay. I don't think it's a good idea to implement those "__% of chance of_________" because it gets more complicated.

Personally, i think the Valkyrie is an underrated troop. A few minor tweaks and she could be very useful. They gave her prefect AI(she will move to hit the most building possible{including behind her}), as well as boosted her attack and health. I think a speed increase would do her nicely and make it a more viable troop. I think the complaints are about half people who have not leveled her and half people who use her incorrectly.

edit: also training time is a bummer

although i dont have valkries i really agree on this. they are very unused and i probably wont be upgrading my dark barracks to level 3 until they boost them.

Looks like the magical genie was able to grant you your wish. Your Valks got their buff. I also agree with them needing a something elxtra. Now thier splash damage will be awesome.

They will buff them on the upcoming update. Take a look at the Sneaky weekend post.

Sneaky peak 3A or 3B says that the Valks have been 'lifting weights' and have gained a large DPS increase across all levels.

Yeah I've seen it. I hope they get some more buffs but DPS increase is great.
