Is the most common method to sell Corn? I seriously think it's the case. Fast growing crop too. But can I profit from Soyabean?
Oh yes, you can profit from it. It takes a little longer but it sells REALLY well at full price.
You can also plant a longer growing crop before bed or work, and have lots of higher grossing produce to sell. When there is a farm visitor (the beggars, as I call them) event for double coins, you can make lots off of wheat. Also, turn some of your wheat to bread, and corn to plain popcorn. It will sell well too.
IIRC, I was around level 50 when I realized that I should be growing and selling soybeans often since they were so find to hard in the Daily Dirt for me. The Aha moment led me to stop struggling for coins and eventually led me to my first one million coins.
Now I sell soybeans at the default price of 10 for 30 coins as a way of giving back to the community. :)
Fr profit x time wheat is the best (as long as there is someone who buy)
I sell wheat quite regularly for full price! Every now and then it will lag for a cycle or two on the ads, but it goes if I'm patient!
I concur. Second to wheat is corn. Thirdly, regular farm Visitor price for wheat. Then carrots. After that longer growing crops like soybeans and sugarcane. The longer time it takes to grow a crop the less profitable it is.
So it really depends on what sort of time you play. If you only check in every few hours it's best to maximize the time by planting crops that grow in about that amount of time.
I find carrots sell really well any time. (10 minutes)
Corn sells okay if I am patient enough. Sometimes a single person will buy out my whole shop. Other times I have to readvertise 2 or 3 times.
Run fruit and berries. Sell them all.
Then wheat for axes and saws.
You get good coin, as well as matetials.
Well, I go to Greg's Farm to get cheap supplies...
Advisable?
I sell after that
Buy low, sell high!
- scour the daily dirt for bargains. relist items at full cost (those that will sell at full cost)
Double coin events
- this is a biggie. During double coin events, you can sometimes get a profit on items higher than you can on your roadside stand
Tom (& Rose/Ernest)
- buy and relist most expensive item you can at your level (item varies on level)
- use your farm helpers and list some of the items they are being told to inventory (eggs and milk are my favorite since their recoup time is quick)
Crops
- this can be tricky. Plant slow growing crops overnight. work fast growing crops during the day. sell off items acquired from farming (if you want - doing this will increase your gold faster). I personally don't recommend going crazy with the crops that require an item to remove (trees, bushes) as your farm might end up looking like a cemetery of dead plants (I like keeping my farm tidy and neat looking). But if you don't care about this, you can go crazy and make a good profit.
Production
- utilize your buildings to make product to sell. Some items take little time and sell for full price and cost 0 gold to make. hone in on these items (bread/cornbread were my favorite at lower levels).
Townspeople (not the ones in the town, but the ones that come onto your farm and request items)
- most of the time what they offer you can do better on your stand. But, load up on penny wheat. Sooner of later, one will request wheat and you can unload it on them.
Multi-farm
- Become an agricultural magnate! (lol) If you have more than one device, you can create subsidiary farms. They can produce items simultaneously for you to sell. They can also be great for warehousing items (it's less expensive to upgrade your barn at lower levels than it is at higher levels). Ship (sell) items to a subsidiary farm to increase room in your barn for your gold-profiting needs.
You just have to remember, every bit of profit will increase your gold supply. Tapping into various sources at a time will increase it faster. At the same time, every bit of cost reduces your gold supply (upgrading buildings/decorating) - so avoid this if you are trying to increase your gold supply.
