New diamond-offer decor...gorillas! Colored pencil fencing!! :-/

Okaaayy...

I just went and checked everything out on Greg's farm. :p

I also went and checked out what the Facebook folks had to say so far. No positive comments. Of course, that doesn't mean a bunch of folks won't buy them.

The more interesting thread (?) in Facebook is from a few days ago that asked for responses to the question "Do you prefer manmade or natural decos?" Every single response that I read (except for the "join my NH" posts) asked for natural. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

The interesting thing was that the "manmade" collection included things like the washtub and little beach chairs that are "natural" to the farm/town setting. I would have made a further distinction between "bling" and "natural". There are gaudy (aka golden or "Barbie") natural features and "natural" manmade ones.

I guess with the advent of the gorilla carving to add to the panda and elephant, we can expect a zoo in the to-be-developed area in town.

I kinda love the gorilla statue! Alas, I won't be buying it (too pricey for me).... :(

A zoo would be such a wonderful addition I wonder if the upcoming expansion to the town world takes us there!?

I never have understood the "zoo" animals. I like the tree and the colorful pencil fence. I did splurge on both of those.

I love the coloured pencil fence. I think once you've brought it you should be able to buy it in the shop for coins or diamonds :)

This is a really good idea. Once you have it in your shop, it becomes a deco item that you can buy more of. Otherwise, people only have a short window to get enough sections (at USD $4.99/5) to do anything with. As I recollect, there was another special fencing item offered with an earlier special diamond purchase. I can't find it on any of my friends' farms, and Greg only has the current batch of special offer deco on his farm...

However, way up in the top corner of his farm flanking the smoothie blender I see a pair of sections of fencing that I don't remember ever seeing anywhere--scalloped pickets with flower boxes. Were those the special offer deco I'm thinking of and I've just blocked it out?

Yes, Mini… that beautiful little picket fence with the flower boxes was offered in one of the diamond packages a few months ago. I, unfortunately, missed it. I sure hope SC reoffers this fence--it's the cutest of all! I also wish SC would offer a rustic-looking split rail fence. Wouldn't that set off our farms nicely?:smirk:

I didn't buy any at the time - if I recall correctly, I had bought diamonds the day before the offer. I'd welcome another opportunity though!

Just bought the tree. It looks very natural :) I'm hesitating about the pencils though. (Do the pencils mean there's coming up something with coloring deco's? :D
