Some of those boat orders

I don't really fill a lot of my own boats, but I do help to fill my teammates and if I'm doing a help task I'll fill for people in the DD. What I don't understand though is why do some people flag only the sugars and dairies to be filled while they have not filled one themselves. What makes them think we'd like to give up 6+ sugars or 6+ creams and 3+ cheese. It makes me so upset when a teammate not even doing a boat task hounds everyone in our NH for dairy and sugar. I've mentioned to some that when they get a hard boat such as those that it's best to let them leave empty so they are not using up important ingredients that we all need so very much to make things that requires those ingredients. And what really drives me nuts is that they will often call their boats early especially if they are doing a boat task so it's not like it would be very hard for them to send away those types of boats empty. I know I have the option to not help and just ignore their request, but try as I might it's just my human nature to help them with what I can. In my NH I'm pretty much the only one who will post numerous times when I'm on if anyone needs anything. We have about 2 others who will also ask but not as often. I love to help them and do all I can to help with whatever they may need, but man some of them boats lol. What do you all do in situations such as those? I'm not meaning to diss on anyone that does do sugar and dairy boats because that is your choice, but it does take away a lot of needed ingredients that some don't have many to spare. If I've offended anyone I apologize. Just needed to get that off my chest. I guess what really bothers me the most is that I have gone out of the way at times to help them with their boats and yet when I do do a boat of my own and flag boxes, not many will fill mine. Well many of us know sugar & dairy orders are some of the hardest to fill.

I have being guilty of only flagging the 'hard' crates before; while I do try keep it to a minimum because I know it can frustrate some players.

If your the type that always tries to help as much as you can, but you are frustrated with a neighbour that does it constantly and never helps you; you are going to have to show some restraint and ignore it. Either that, or discuss with the leaders to set up internal hood rules that disallows farmers flagging boats in such a way.

Because the fact of the matter is, if you keep putting up ads someone will fill those crates eventually; for a variety of reasons. Maybe they have extra sugar/dairy they want to get rid of, maybe they just like to help anyone no matter what, maybe they are doing a help task - the list goes on.

Some farmers take advantage of that fact, as I said while I try keep it to a minimum...if you can't beat them; join them.

I send dairy and sugar boats away - I never have enough and getting help can be a long wait. I have very helpful neighbours but I never fill their diary/sugar boats but I would never ask them to fill mine.
I wouldn't worry or feel obliged especially given the fact you help on other things

Sometimes it can be hard flipping through the DD looking for crates to fill, to find anything but dairy or sugar boats.
But I recognize that they are flagging sugar and dairy for their own reason, not specifically to annoy me.

I will fill jam crates and honey popcorn crates before I fill dairy or sugar.
I like to fill my own boats whenever possible but on a very few occasions have flagged a sugar crate and I'm always pleased when someone fills it.

In the lower levels sugar and dairy is much easier to keep in stock.
I prefer to keep my own sugar and dairy and use extras to make coffee products than to just fill boat orders and always feel like I have to struggle to catch up. Even with Ernest's help.

Just keep the cows, dairy & sugar mill working, and you'll be everyone's friend.
If I blue flag a box for neighbours to fill, I try to make sure s an easy one. If I green flag a box, it's for the world to fill (and I'll put 1 wheat at price 3 in the top right box in the Rss and with an advert)

There are a lot of cream, sugar, cheese, lobster and feather boats flagged, right? But those resources are so scarce, I can understand someone trying to get by on the generosity of others...and the way I look at it, if someone fills their crates, great....and if someone doesn't, then I guess they are going to fill it themselves eventually. Never hurts to try?

I definitely wouldn't appreciate neighbors demanding help on such boats....or pestering about it. I always try and fill those kind myself, and usually I try not to flag all 3 crates on any same product although it has happened!!

I usually can't help those kinds for others myself, although I have done it once or twice when I happened to have a lot of something and no barn room....but I'm continually amazed at the generosity of hay day farmers the world over...somebody filled my blanket boat on the day I leveled up (how can you make 4 blankets in an hour, hay day?) and I did a little dance since it was a derby boat. It's one of the best features of the game.

So to farmers with big barns and big hearts, thank you !! And to farmers with little barns, and still big hearts, thank you too!!

I have sent every boat requesting a staple away. Like, where would I get extra dairy or sugar to send down the river.
so, I don't ask & I rarely give sugar/dairy/seafood & feathers.

It's true that as long as you put an ad in the paper, someone will eventually fill your crate, no matter what is in it. I think that the issues that are bugging MNmoose (are the mosquitos thick in TN, yet??) relate to NH members who don't send away tough boats, call tough boats early for tasks, beg repeatedly, and don't help in return. Then there are the farmers who flag 3 cream crates and post an ad before they have filled any other crates. Other than trying to learn to control your innate generosity, I think you are stuck, MN!

For myself, if I am looking for help, I fill all the other crates before flagging; and if I see a boat requesting help in the DD that has all but one crate filled, I'll fill that last one if I can even if it is lobster, cheese, or (as was mentioned) blankets. If no crates have been filled at all and several are flagged, I'll pass on by.

My daughter does this sometimes and I ask her what does she think I am an open food dispensary? ♥♥♥♥!! Tho I do have a bigger barn then she does I usually help her out with a few and say she has to do the rest! I recently found that Im a food hoarder on this game esp. when its close to starting a new derby which. Anyone else a "food hoarder"?

No one is forcing you to fill the crates. I always put up the four hardest and figure if someone on the DD wants to fill it so be it. If they don't, then the boat doesn't get done. No biggie. I usually put the least hard of the four as the one for the NH so they don't waste sugar, cream, etc. to fill the boat. I figure there are huge farms out there, and if they have the goods, so be it. But if the boats are too difficult, I will send them away too.
