Am I the only one who doesn't clear the land...

...and never will, because I actually LIKE the stone outlines of the various plots, I like the way the ones I leave create nooks for me to arrange my machines in, and if I'm forced to open a plot I often replace the missing stones with the stone wall to maintain the lines that were there...

This probably makes me very weird to most... but that's the great part of Hay Day, I get to be me :smirk:

Main farm level 72, all machines so far, except the smelters, just 3 of those, and the jewelry machine, I keep the full number of smelters on another farm with the jewelry machine, but all my farms have some smelters because I love the mining and they supply ingots to my jewelry machine...

I am at a point where I do not need the land. I will clear it to get rid of LEMs, but I will not use the land, so you are not weird:D

I think you are in the minority however, truth be told I think quite a few of us regret removing all the trees, ponds and rocks. The trees look so amazing when the seasons change. I love the Autumnal tree colours and will not be clearing the new expanded areas.
It would be lovely to see a picture of your farm as I have not seen a 'natural' farm arrangement

When we got the previous big land expansion on the farm, I selectively cleared plots just so that I could keep some of the stone walls scattered around my property. They are one of my favorite things. I ultimately opened all that land.

I truly hope that some day we will be able to (a) clear the land and be able to remove the stone walls if we wish to (b) move/store the stone walls like other decor after we've opened the plot (c) buy sections of the mossy stone walls just as they appear around the unopened plots.

I'll probably leave a few of the plots from the most recent update unopened--hah! It's going to take me forever to acquire the LEMs, so maybe we'll have an update that includes mossy stone walls and seasonal trees before I decide I need the space. LOL

I am a deco nut and had no space at all before this update. I was glad to get more space and will eventually have it all cleared. Your play style isn't weird tho. That's what's great about the game. We can all do whatever we want with the land. I do wish that once we open a plot we could take control of what's inside to move around. I wouldn't mind keeping some of the trees but I need them in different places. The really good part of what you do is you can enjoy the seasonal changes for your trees.

I am relatively low level so I don't have a lot of decorations and I also don't have a bunch of the upper level trees or machines, so I've managed to leave a lot of the original trees and stones and such on the top of the farm. I do like the seasonal changes of those trees.

I wish the trees you could get from the shop weren't "evergreens" and did the seasonal change as well. Then I would like to be able to move them around.

I didn't open all the land, I created some lovely nooks & crannies...but it got too full, so I needed the land. However I saved one piece in the middle and loved having it. About 2 weeks ago I accidentally swiped it and it opened up. I was furious, but what can you do...nothing.

Pretty much any tree tree no longer on my farm was an accidental swipe. I have most of the rocks & I think all the swamps?! It's why other farms look organised and pretty & mine look messy!

I love your farm! I'd love to take a real walk thru it.

Your farm sounds so interesting. :) I have a few original trees and am planning on leaving most up in our new expansion areas.

I love MiniGardner's idea of selectively leaving up undeveloped plots... I would like to try that on the non-new-deco side of the road. :)
