Hi,
Im currently a 90% maxed th8 with underlvled walls. My walls are 50% lvl 6/7. My goal was to max th8, but atm if i keep going the way Im going (4 builders on buildings, 1 on walls) I predict that I will have maxed th8 with upgrades but only have 0-25% lvl 8 walls. Is the th8 loot bonus really worth having 5 sleeping builders while I upgrade walls? or Should I go to th9 with mostly lvl 7 walls?

I think that you should go to th lvl 9 because even though, there are lots of people with wall lvl 7 in th 9.
And this is why you max the walls at TH7. Now you will have a huge stock-up of wall upgrading at TH8, making you lose time. Or you go to TH9, become a premature, never get the walls and quit the game.
I'd stay for walls, the farming at TH9 become severely impaired, and not to say you have a hundred other things to build / upgrade there.
Only worth it if you raid a lot, and constantly have leftover gold from upgrades.

I'm in a similar situation, new to th 8 with mostly purple and some pink walls. The new walls from the level are stone still. I'm putting my elixir into troop upgrades while massively upgrading my splash damage and then all my other defenses. My plan is to finish the defenses and then concentrate on all walls while slowly finishing off all elixir upgrades, which will take some time. I can't see saving 2 million + gold on each upgrade and trying to upgrade walls at the same time.

Like people said if you can raid alot then it is worth it. I am using 4 builders right now ( 3 on teslas to 6 and 1 on gold mine) the other one is on walls to lv and i can keep the gold coming in steadily do this will do until i upgrade to th 9 in a couple of weeks.
I keep a sleeping builder for walls when I hardcore farm gold. Otherwise, I just hope I get TH sniped.
If you wanna do a sleeping builder, you can make it a little more efficient by putting the "wall builder" on a new project about 8-12 hours (however long it takes you to max storages) before your next upgrade finishes. That way you sneak in a few extra hours out of your builders, and never have to deal with maxed gold storage either.
You seem to farm enough gold for upgrades, but not enough for walls. I think you should upgrade th, you'll have th9 defenses, and your walls will suck anyway. Your current gap is like 20 mil to lvl 7 and 128 mil to lvl8.Quote:
